@jharris2428 You are correct 68 and 71. My apologies. But Dana, already played last season so I would count him as prospect. Moore is in AA and won't be up till 2026 or 27 and 71 isn't someone I overly hyped about.
@@TouchingBasesPodDana made 2-3 starts. He’s also not likely to start the season in the MLB so would still be a prospect. Moore is likely a mid season add to the mlb roster as well
@jharris2428 He had 3, I wouldn't put it past LA to play him next year unless they trade for our sign at least 2 rotation arms. Dana is easily your current number 3.
The Angels need to go out and make a big splash. Go out and get Snell and Flaherty. I don't think Burnes or Fried is on the table, and Sasaki seems like a long shot.
@michaela.salley9791 I think you are right on the big dosh but I don't think Moreno is going to pay up for those 2. But Sewald and Montgomery maybe options since AZ doesn't want them and Monty coils be another lottery ticket at the deadline.
@TouchingBasesPod Both would be a benefit to the Halos. I think Ward is most likely the piece the DBacks would ask for. I'm not sure who else would be on the move to Arizona.
@ all of trouts injuries other than his back occurred while hitting not fielding , he’s open to playing the corners but he will log plenty of games in center this year as well . Also we picked up Newman to be able to play shortstop and 3rd base , so they are addressing glaring holes , 1 more bat is necessary 1-2 more rotation arms and at least 2 bullpen arms maybe 3
@Qwinge I was say it's a desperate move to bring up a AA player they still need to develop when you can sign a veteran who can play the part for cheap.
The Angels need to go over the luxury tax for two years (until Rendon is off the books) in order to build a competitive team in the short term. Will they do that? Nah. They'll sign a few washed-up vets or former top prospects and think that's enough. I'm an Angels fan btw.
@kotch35 You are realistic and echoed the Rendon issue. I can respect that, but id say as NOT a fan, be optimistic. The non tendered players like Tauchman, Wisdom, Rojas, Conner Joe, Bryan De La Cruz all could be bats the Angels could work with. Joe and Rojas more so as you get a temporary 3B who is going to perform better than Rendon till he is gone and Conner ads depth to the out field why giving Schanuel a break. No superstars but improvement.
Bro said Travis signing doesn't make sense lmao it makes perfect sense bring a vet in to help ohoppe out only signing that doesn't make sense is Kyle Hendricks
@joshdurniok3225 So you sign a decent bat with below average (compared to starting catchers in the league btw) to give ohoppe a break but will ride bench because you have Soler and Trout hogging DH. It's wasteful when their are so many rotation whole. Fine by me to spend money, but that's not the norm with LA.
I believe your take is wrong the angles have had a great offseason The catcher you were trashing on lead the team meetings for the braves pitching staff Kyle is a pitcher who can help the young starting pitcher with their secondary stuff the angels have two 100 prospects with Dana and Moore and Moore was possibly the best batting prospect in the minors however his defense is bad in addition to that our head coach is know around the league as a defensive coach I do believe you are correct with your opinion on third baseman and our backup first baseman tho he needs to be cut the final thing I think is I believe the angels will go after one more pitcher who is good but has a injury history maybe like Shane B
@gilbertgonzales7849 I never trashed D'Arnaud. He is objectively a below average defensive catcher. Good bat to give ohoppe a break. I said he is a good veteran arm with a impressive past, before 2020. But your argument doesn't go against what I said at all. Clubhouse lead, sure, if they look up to his allcolades the over 4 years ago. You are reaching bragging about Dana and Moore being 68 and 71 in the top 100. I made a comment below that I was wrong on top 100 comment. Even though Dana shouldn't be considered a prospect when the end of last year he held a rotation slot no due to injuries.
@gilbertgonzales7849 I can see beiber, it's a risk but would be a good ace to hang onto for a 2 hear deal with a mutual option. But they need another bat who can play 3rd or take over where rengifo moves to 3rd.
@ D’Arnaud is only below average in pop time however his blocking and game managing is great Kyle whole reason I brought up how he is going to help with the young guys is that’s the whole reason for him adjective if he can help people like Dana, Sam Aldegheri ,Klassen with his secondary stuff it would be more important than him have a 3.5 ERA and getting traded for prospects The reason I brought up the dudes in the farm and how they are top 100 because it’s a lazy take when everyone always say the angels farm system has no good players and you are rushing the gun by saying Dana should be counted as a prospect the whole reason for September is to have prospects play and still have them as prospects and if they changed that it wouldn’t even make sense for mlb teams to bring up their prospects until the following year so they can get a full year and have a chance to have their rookie of the year
As a angels fan we have been over rendon for a while but you can’t jus cut him I think most of the fanbase would be completely fine with seeing him benched or even get the Bobby Bonilla treatment. Arte isn’t a good owner and is the reason the franchise is a disaster he picks and chooses who he wants to sign instead of letting his baseball ops team do it. The Angels are a much better team than the league thinks but they need to continue to rebuild I agree bring in guys to challenge Rendon and build up the depth in the organization. If the Angels some how were to get one of the top pitchers without a pick attached to them it would go a long way. The shots at the team isn’t cool we are aware of this team and we are a proud fanbase I understand it wasn’t directed at the fanbase but we have heard for a decade they’ve wasted trout yet he’s never playing they wasted ohtani when he was never going to stay on the angels.
@angelsfan1514 That's where the fanbase needs to stop what I call, California Sensitive. It's nit at the fans, it's a harsh reality of the owner and front office moves. But I don't think Trout was "Wasted". I never believed that. I think they did what they could to buy a team around them and it failed because of specific individuals not doing their part. As for Ohtani, there is no excuse and I have no issue taking shots at that front office for failing to get a return the greatest baseball player ever. If ANY team did this, they would lose points from me. But that's why I said, they could go after roki sasaki and not make that mistake again. And as of today, as predicted they signed a solid rotation arm to replace canning, Yusei Kukuchi.
I will say as an angels fan it’s hard to listen to your input because you’re throwing little jabs at the team. We understand the team is horrible but inputting advice while simultaneously saying “it’s the Angels” in a negative tone is disheartening. Talking about the Angels when you’re not a fan is tricky because if you didn’t watch any games or only watched a handful you see a dumpster fire. When in reality this is the first time real fans see an upside. The moves so far have been great. Both Travis and Kyle are leaders that play. Logan desperately needs a catcher to show him the ropes and Kyle can share his knowledge with our young starters. You look at stats which are important but the leadership they acquired for a team whose top 5 players are 25 and younger is greater than stats.
@Joshua_Lopez19 @Joshua_Lopez19 Jabs well deserved based on an organizational decisions that seem to happen repetitively. It's rhe same with the Mariners. I'm a mariners fan and I'll be brutally honest that they won't sign their best player because they have arbitration and want to run him into the ground before he is eligible for a contract and then trad him for a big return. It's frustrating as a fan to see them milk profits instead of win and do right by the team. "ITS THE MARINERS" in a dishearting tone. I don't want you or anyone who watches this to think I'm just being an asshole attacking the team, it's just honest and reality but I also have hope for a positive turn for the angels that fit their insane way (My opinion) of handling business. To your point I think you ignored the fact that I said more than once that this is a solid team of they perform to expectations and they stop playing the guys because they simply cost the most. I agree with you on Catcher, I think we see eye to eye but I also have the honest concern of his defense with the pitching that currently stands, I also don't see the angels NOT Signing another rotation arm. And as of today I could see them getting Canning back or signing Quantrill! But Kyle Hendricks as a Clubhouse booster? Yeeaah, okay. Sure. But I see it as a lottery ticket. You want a Clubhouse boost for young pitchers you sign them to 2 or 3 years. They don't want him longer than a year if he doesn't perform. It's a prove it contract and also a trading chip if he is great and angels don't make the playoffs. That is 100% from an upper management perspective of front office moves. Not a managerial level on the field.
@ Unless you just started covering the Angels there is nothing that needs “insinuating”. If you just started covering the Angels then yes you read my post correctly. It was sarcasm and a heavy dose.
None of this makes sense. Most will be traded by the deadline or dfa'd. Angels are nowhere near a playoff team. This is just noise because ohtani won a world series 😂. Damage control. Also Ron is the most overrated loser in basbeball lmao
The angels have 2 top 100 prospects
Moore and Dana
@jharris2428 You are correct 68 and 71. My apologies. But Dana, already played last season so I would count him as prospect. Moore is in AA and won't be up till 2026 or 27 and 71 isn't someone I overly hyped about.

Solar can’t platoon with anyone in the outfield especially at center , he is here to DH and play about 45 games in the outfield
@Mrwilliamblast I would agree but trout is not worth sitting on the IL. He is a glass house
@ all of trouts injuries other than his back occurred while hitting not fielding , he’s open to playing the corners but he will log plenty of games in center this year as well . @Mrwilliamblast I recorded this when Newman was a rumor but I also read that he is a bench slot why I think it's dumb, I'd rather see him than Rendon.
@ newman will see the field allot , rendon is just collecting his bread 🍞
Christian Moore replaces Rendon
