Whoever cast this show is genius! They are so believable as a family, and they actually look like a related and relatable family. We had our grandchildren staying with us the last few days, and the weather was awful, so we stayed in and binge-watched every Young Sheldon episode- twice🤣. We all love it. We’ve also watched every Big Bang ep multiple times. Both of these shows were brilliant from the first episode, which is unusual. Love Young Sheldon, long may it reign👍😁🥰
She so nailed Mary. It almost seems like it really is the same person...

Kudos to the Casting Director as all the cast is perfect. Lance Barber and Zoe Perry are not portrayed as figures of fun but believable responsible parents. The show's Script Writers have done a wonderful job as Lance and Zoey's lines contain good advice on subjects that many parents avoid. Best family sitcom possibly ever.

I was wondering how they found someone who looked just like the older Sheldon's mom. She is a perfect choice. I just started watching the show on Netflix and I am loving it.

I always felt Mary must be someone who's really very beautiful(looks) in real life as compared to how she's shown in the show.

I have never been into Big Bang Theory but not knowing Young Sheldon was a spinoff, I watched it and it is currently my favorite. I love all the characters.
Sheldon's dad and elder brother, oh the mum, lol all the casts are literally perfect for the show.
This is so weird hearing them without their accents and seeing them without their wardrobe! These are good actors!

I think some people remember that he previously played Leonard's bully on The Big Bang Theory, now he plays Sheldon's dad in the spin-off series
And it is pretty ironic that in one of young Sheldon episode, George admitted to Mary that he was a bully during his youth 😂😂😂
@@kdfever1732 Idk if they tried to make sense of the fact that they're the same actor, but that makes it even worst.
It speaks volumes if people can’t grasp that they are actors playing different character in different shows. Rather like people who confuse actors being one and the same as a character on soap operas.
I'm watching this in 2024 after "Young Sheldon" finished its last show. These two and the entire cast are hilarious. They are now my favorite TV parents.

I some times think they can't decide if it's set in the 80s or 90s
Season 1 (and possibly 2,) was set in 1989. The rest of the series is set in the early 90's. So it's both, really.
