i love your drawing! the only thing that seems really off to me is the left leg, however. the knee in relation to the foot seems strange, and the boot seems weirdly bent too. given that, this seems like an ambitious piece, so i applaud your bravery and i think you did really well!! ' v '
I dont understand people doing "constructive" criticism, I mean, this is beautiful, nobody tells if the angle of the leg is wrong. (I know, constructive helps, its just that I like this too much). Im not saying this mad or anything lol
+Mica Well, apparently, people DO tell. I personally don't think her leg is wrong, but i still understand people telling her where there may be a problem.
Wow, some of you are being really rude. This artist did not ask for constructive criticism! It's extremely rude to give feedback to an artist who didn't ask for your opinion. I know this is the internet and you're allowed to express yourself, but there's a difference between commenting on an art piece and giving feedback on it, and it's custom etiquette in the art community to not give any feedback unless asked.
First of all, I wanna say that I realise that my comment sounds harsh and I was very outraged when I wrote it. Second, I didn't say that people weren't allowed to state their opinions, but that there is a difference between expressing a personal opinion and giving criticism/feedback without being requested. I'm an artist myself, and I've seen this happen tons of times. It's not very nice to pick apart someone else's work and pointing out its flaws if the creator didn't ask for you to do it. Now, I'd kindly ask you to not put me in a box like so without reading past my initial line - for to me it seems that you didn't read the full comment at all and only decided to attack me for calling people out on something they might not be aware of. Yes, saying they were rude was harsh, I've already settled that; but sometimes people write comments without thinking twice, and even if they don't want to hurt anyone, telling an artist where they can improve or do differently without being asked is not okay. If the artist is interested in constructive criticism, they will let you know. Have a nice day (:
+Sabrina Soto "Etiquette" ? No its not. Its closing your eyes away from problems. Constructive and polite criticism, this is always nice to see because it means that people are taking time for telling you their opinion, and in art, where everything is a question of perspective, it is not a bad thing at all.
No, you should not assume that every artist is interested in constructive criticism; most artists don't put their work up until they are satisfied with it and probably aren't going to change it anyway. Sometimes art is put up just for showing and sharing. Tbh I would think this to be custom etiquette not only in the art community, but anywhere really; it's just not nice to tell someone to improve if they are satisfied with the level they are at now. It's something different if they want to get advice, but if you post a picture of yourself and someone tells you, "wow, you look great, but if you lost weight you would look better" or something like that, would you feel like that was called for? I know it's an extreme example, but the main point is that you shouldn't tell people how to improve if they haven't asked you. Express whether you like the art as it is or not all you want, but don't teach others about the technical aspects unless they've specifically asked for it. Anyway, I really don't care whether you agree or not, but please don't go giving constructive criticism to other artists unless they've asked for it. Yes, you're right that most artists want real constructive feedback even if they haven't stated it already and that it's a good thing, but it's ALWAYS safer to assume that they don't want it if they haven't explicitly asked for it, because to some it might be really hurtful. You should be able to share your work with others whether you want crticism or not (:
Sorry.....but it's common etiquette AS AN ARTIST to be able to take critisism, heck as a content creator. This is how you improve, this is what the community is. I keep a private, PRIVATE, journal of sketches and artwork because that is the book i practice and get better at by just not caring and drawing. If you draw or make content in any way, than this should be obvious. Understand what art is, art isn't something you look at and not think about it. You pick it part, what you like and what you don't. You see where improvements can be made and practice. No art or artist is perfect nor will be, but as a whole community you can make it what it is. Drawings, sculpures, animation, and even just normal videos. Just art.
I love everything about this...except the guns. The right gun is in near perfect profile despite this action pose and I'm not entirely sure if the angle of her hand matches the gun. As for the left gun: I'm inclined to say the perspective is somewhat off. Like I said everything looks great, it's just the guns kind of look like an afterthought.
The drawing is nice and girl is attractive but I have to say I felt kinda "disappointed" that you used lineart. I don't mean you to do bad, in fact, your lineart is excellent but I think painting without lineart is a very interesting way: it shows the artist's skills and gives freedom to do rapid changes and modifications. I've always loved your no-lineart paintings and I was expecting see that one more time. I also think, for this reason, you didn't work face and that makes character not be so unique.
+Lucy's This is called experimenting things. To get better, you have to try a lot of different techniques or styles, and i think that was what she was going for. Lineart and non lineart both have their advantages and inconvenients, and i personally love to see her try different things in her art. :)
Ваш стиль великолепен! Спасибо за очередную порцию вдохновения)

This is not my opinion, this is basic human decency.

+Lucy's lol good thing she wasn't actually making it for you then ^w^
I don't need that to comment or give my opinion like you.
