My fiance and I bought a 2011 LT AWD 2 years ago. We loved it but sadly the transmission went and the engine constantly stalled. We decided on a newer one and no have a 2016 LTZ AWD with the V6 in the patriot blue colour, it's been just over 2 years this summer and we are in love with it, we've taken it on a few road trips and these things are so smooth and comfortable for the highway!
I just bought a 15 LT awd with the 4 cylinder and it has the pioneer system. So far its been pretty nice. Has heated seats too. Also my radio is way different than this one. My screen is bigger and it has a visor that sticks out pretty far over top, which loses the storage compartment on top of the dash.
@@zman23wi92 i just bought a 15 and like it. Ive never had an SUV before this but I do like it. My mechanic friend says to avoid the V6, which I have the 4 cylinder, and it does just fine. They are actually kinda big inside. Its not as quick as my other vehicles but they are bigger engines than my equinox has. I would say they are great first vehicles honestly. Ive had mine for 2 weeks so far.
my grandma who i live with owns an awd LT with the 4 cyl and i just love to drive the hell out of that thing, out of the cars ive driven, the equinox gets the most smiles per gallon from me
I want to love my 2010. But, I just cant. Bought it last year and it was great for a few months. No accidents and a serious issue getting this aligned. And while it looked rust free, it rotted out the front fenders and rockers on bith sides. Had to replace all tires within 5k miles... before the scheduled rotation. Maybe I bought a dud... but I am not alone in this. Also, check your oil often. I am down a quart in under 800 miles. This isn't cheap transportation by any means. I would have been better buying new as per month for one year of owning... it would have been cheaper to buy a new car. The same mechanic that put a sticker on it when i bought it said he had never seen such rot happen so quickly in a vehicle. Blame the road salt, but this thing has zero resale value. The interior held up well. So if you are looking for a pit vehicle or your state doesn't do yearly inspections... It might work for you. Just dont trust it when transporting anyone you care about.
If you like oil burning engines, this is the car for you. The 2.4 ecotec is junk. I have a '15 LT and it uses at least 2.5 quarts between 5000 mile oil changes. And bonus, it cant hardly get out of its own way

I’m no pro but I got a 2011 about 5 years ago for 12,500. I just totaled it in a 5 car crash. Me and my 11 year old walked away. I did suffer a ton fib fracture I am still recovering from but she was fine minus being sore. I recommend.
I have a 2015 equinox LT I hate it I owe like 7 thousand on it still ima pay it off and buy a real truck and give this to my wife or dunno just hang on to it it’s slow af if it wasn’t so slow it be ok but nope it’s a gramma car

Lol no, The 2.4 4 cylinder is the one with all the issues like burning oil and it's underpowered, look it up, it's all over youtube

Bought a 2013 LT in February with 148K miles. June now 149300 miles no problem-Its a V6-hope to last to 250k at least.

I will say the 4 cylinder is pretty bad pretty noisy and bogged down gets the job done but the base engine should've been beefed up a touch
Buy a v6 version.
