Hey! I see your buddy (or you) have fixed your bucket with some kind of yarn or string or something. I would like to offer the idea to use zip ties instead! You can do it in the X pattern, or in a ladder. Make it as tight as you need it, then cut off the extra and torch the cut end so it melts a bit and isn't so sharp. I've fixed a few plastic containers this way!
Sammy, the seal will b ok. U Neva picked him up. What a carry-on some people make .I would do the same. I don't mind shooing a koala off the road here in Australia!
You should have made some money from that catch. You don't normally get anything like that many fish. After checking it was OK that seal would have been much better off being left where it was. Good luck for another big haul next time.
that seal probaly needed some help.. we got a center for that in the netherlands called pieterburen.. people come pick them up.. and release them when they are bigger.. seals are like dogs of the sea.. i got some respect for them.. also cause i own dogs..
I’m no exspert of seals , but that seal was high up the rocks and wanted to check if it had any fishing line round it so no harm done being in that pool , mother with still know were it is
They are also scent driven animals so getting too close to the pup was a bad move too .. sometimes the mother will abandon the pup if she smells human scent ..
@SMASHFISHING Ignore these types of comments Jay. They're just having a cry. Clearly the pup was close to falling onto rocks. The pup can crawl back their after you left anyhow.
Well, it was really nice that you showed the pup back to the water and he should be OK if there was something seriously wrong with them he wouldn’t of been so active and I believe his mother will find them sooner or later😂❤❤❤❤❤
I wouldn’t normally do that but that’s the second one been on the shores , wanted to see it was ok as we’ve had storms and big tides , not good for baby pups
What a night! Great video, Jay! Loved it! You're such a man of the people!😎

One awesome friggin adventure brother
Damn bro you got the hand grab on the squid that’s maddd 💪🏼👌🏼
That looked like such a fun night fishing! Do you think the big tide helped?
Big tides definitely help but it’s a 50 50 with the seaweed 🥬😂
Love this.Wow must be amazing to even get close to a seal pup🦭
I wouldn’t normally go near any sea life like seals but recently there been a couple washed up so wanted to see it was ok
Is that water quality good enough to eat shellfish? Being so close to the marina and all
Cracking nights netting there Smash, bet you wish it was like that every time.
If only mate mostly picking seaweed out this time of year , definitely refreshing to get a decent haul 👌 thanks for watching

Could you demonstrate to us, how you remove a fish from a net, (do you pull it through or push it back ? )
Il show you on the next session 👍

Now your a member of the baby seal club.

Good on yer Jay. You let some go.

How much is that catch worth?
Hard to say but round £250 over hear but uk a lot higher
Thanks Jay.a good night's work
Cack.
Do you not have to gut your fish.
that seal probaly needed some help.. we got a center for that in the netherlands called pieterburen.. people come pick them up.. and release them when they are bigger.. seals are like dogs of the sea.. i got some respect for them.. also cause i own dogs..
Nice try with the hand grab on the squid 🦑 🕺🏽
One got away haha
Fill your boots, i hope you end up with a decent wage when you actually get a good catch?
Why don't you gut them before you ice them
Were we sell are fish they are filleted down within a couple hours of being caught so it’s not needed , long journeys I’d gut the fish
wrong thing to do is to scare the pup back into the water, his mother would know where he is , so leave him alone and leave nature to care for itself
I’m no exspert of seals , but that seal was high up the rocks and wanted to check if it had any fishing line round it so no harm done being in that pool , mother with still know were it is

@@stevenicholson7270 All abandon stories on animals because of smell from touching are urban legends. Does not affect seals or birds or whatever.
@Treasier I guess the mother of pup that some people messed with near me last year just decided to leave it randomly then
@SMASHFISHING Ignore these types of comments Jay. They're just having a cry. Clearly the pup was close to falling onto rocks. The pup can crawl back their after you left anyhow.

I dontvmuch like bass. They have too many bones.
This is clearly illegal. clearing the seas out, well done lads.
Nope , perfectly legal ! We have licenses to prove it , there’s restrictions in place to keep things health
Brother throw your buckets in a 🛞 tube handy it is 😊👍🏼
The seal pup there for a reason, its parents know where it is, and there you go 🙄🙄trying to help, but prob done the reverse 🫤
