Cheers Alan ... Feeling a lot better but definitely not 100%. I do know people have been suffering the effects of COVID even months after testing negative
Absolutely brilliant. When you said about doing some instrumentals this is the track that came to mind. So glad you did, it's a corker of a track & has long been a favourite. I will be listening to this many times. Wonderfully done & great visuals too.
Thankyou dEk for one of the greatest covers and accompanying video ever to have graced RUclips. It really doesn't get any better than this. Brilliant to see Simple Minds touring this year. Loved Jim Kerr's patter at the OVO Arena, London. "Wembley Arena!" He exclaimed. "What a great warm up for Bournemouth tomorrow night."
Ah you continue to tick all my boxes with your cover choices! Depeche Mode, Erasure and now my home town favourite's (who I've seen live many, many times over the last 30+ years!) Simple Minds! Nicely done!
Absolutely wonderful! Brought me out in goosebumps, just like the original always does. Yet again, thank you. The time-lapse video brings to mind the cover photographs on 'Sons And Fascination'/'Sister Feelings Call', too, so it all fits perfectly. 👍👍👍
@@dek1014 - Two albums released at the same time. 'Sister Feelings Call' has instrumental versions of tracks from 'Sons And Fascination'. But... On cassette, both were combined into one album: the CD release of SAF did not (due to timing, I suppose), have every SFC track on it. I should have said last time, that the album covers were designed by Malcolm Garratt, for Assorted iMaGes. Which happens to be the origin of the name of the Scots band 'Altered Images'.
I was just listening to 'New Gold Dream' for the nth time, and track 5, 'Somebody Up There Likes You', struck me as a rather good companion piece to 'Theme For Great Cities'. A lovely instrumental that builds. Lots of nice little details in it, too. Another brilliant track of theirs, and they've done hundreds, is 'A Brass Band In Africa', an instrumental B-Side, that sounds like nothing else they've ever done. It's almost ambient, but really full of atmosphere.
Apologies for the late reply on this. I've been on holiday for the last few weeks. Also managed to break my phone whilst away, so I've been out of loop for a bit. Simple Minds have done so great instrumentals. I'll certainly add this on to the ever growing list.
Che bellazza musica e vidéo grazie mille 👍💙
So atmospheric, love it!!
Once more great work and very nice visual also, I enjoyed it my friend.

I saw them for the first time on their ‘Big Music’ tour. They were really amazing live and I so love the guitars on that album!

Thank you! ... I'm still confused after all these years. One album or two? LOL
