- New Gotham's Undercover Superhero Batman has disappeared leaving behind a daughter from his long-time love Catwoman. Her name is Helena the mysterious superhero known as "The Huntress". She has teamed up with the paralyzed hero "Batgirl" together they meet up with their next teammate Dinah Lance. Dinah is a telepath and psychic who had terrifying dreams about Batgirl's brutal accident. They must learn how to work together and become not only a team of superheroes but also a family.

The song fits. I loved this show! t.A.T.u was huge in 2003, so it all came together and just made the show and the last ep that much cooler. Harley Quinn was acting as Helena's psychiatrist, putting false thoughts in her head, so when the song kicks in and you here all the things she said, you know the shit is about to go down between the two of them.
I was sad to see Helena and her earth wiped out in "Crisis on Infinite Earths" "Batwoman" gives me a "Birds of Prey" vibe when I watch it. Maybe they can bring the cast back on some eps of "Batwoman"
The only cast members who would have to be replaced are Alfred and Batman.

The music actually went really in time with the fight choreography. Back in he day this was my badass chick show. With todays advancement in tech and choregraphy, this looks like shit after you've seen modern action series-(arrow etc). Birds of Prey series is still a stepping stone for those new DC series so Im not hating, i loved this show back then...

Dark Angel mhm I enjoy it too. They were doing something which will lead to arrowverse. Heck if this show was pick up more. They would have tied in with smallville

Everyone here can bloody fly. Harley suddenly has super jumping powers, Huntress has cat flying powers, the crippled Bat Woman can bloody fly. Just waiting for Alfred to have some sorta flying sequence and then say "Oh im sorry i didnt tell you Mistress Gordan you see.... im Superman"

To me BoP had a cult classic potential that was thrown away by lazy writers who never read any BoP Comics but also didn't read any Batman comics as well. It's like they never consulted with real Comic book writers when they did this show.

I knew the online service of the US company Netflix was a project to reboot already canceled series. It would be very Prey Birds series back as reboot.

The TV show was GORGEOUS. And oh my god, that final battle... That tension between Helena and Harley Quinn is unique. And I'm very sad because it's not popular and there's no season 2.

Everyone is underestimating this show because in their opinion it was bad. Compared to tv shows nowadays, this was really good. Even though they could've stuck to the original music for the intro and the final battle scene for the DVD, I enjoyed watching it. It was a goof slice of my childhood and hooray to WB for producing a show all for female empowerment!

Spiffy Lady Maybe they are a bunch of ignorant people who wouldn't know what a good show is if it slapped them in the face. To say Birds of prey is a great show is like saying Halle Berry's "Catwoman" Movie was good when it was considered 1 of the worst films ever made worldwide or Reboot: The Guardian Code tv show is another worst show ever made just recently and you think i'm crazy? It's the people who think bad films/tv shows should have their heads checked to see if their marbles are still there. Also I know Birds of Prey is a "show" but there's no excuse what so ever for the writers/Producers to do a piss poor job at it.
This was probably one of only a handful of scenes I liked in this show; probably the best scene. The music went well with the fight, and the lyrics pertained to how the older Harley (As a psychiatrist (which was her job when she met Joker) was attempting to manipulate Helena. Hated the cuts to that wacko guy, though. This show took place in the Smallville universe, and could have benefited from a Clark cameo. I really liked Dina Meyer as Babs, but the show totally screwed up Dinah/Black Canary :-( They should've had Black Canary in Huntress' role on the show and make Helena into Dinah aka the young newbie who is learning about herself.

I saw the show when it originally aired and bought the DVD when it came out to support the show but never watched it. I'd heard they changed lots of songs. Strike 1 but forgivable. I'd heard that one of the songs changed was the theme song. Big Strike 2, if there's one song you have to clear on any show it's the theme song.
I imdb-ed the show today to reminisce and only now recall this fight scene from watching it some 11 years ago now. All the Things She Said is essential to the scene! Strike 3 to the DVD release. It's like how I am with my favorite show of all time Roswell's DVDs - I'll buy them to support the show so the studio knows there is a legitimate fan base out there, but I can't watch the actual show because of the music changes.
Watched the series when it originally aired. Loved it. Bought the DVD. Hate the opening song and this was changed. Still loved it. Want to see this rebooted. This is what introduced me to Tatu. No regrets with Birds of Prey or Tatu.... Fan of both til I die....
I love how Huntress try to stop Barbara to destroy Harley Quinn especially for prevent her friend to do the unforgivable. Huntress did think as a daughter but like a true hero girl for forgiving herself

Batman and the Joker, In a flashback to the fight that paralyzed Barbara, Clayface, and of course, the older Harley, played by Mia Sara, and really for the part, in my opinion.
That end bit encapulates one of the biggest points of that bat-family/Batman's legacy.
Killing will only make you less. It makes you what you are trying to stop. Even better is that this takes place in a timeline where Batman left. Where there are years of build up for Barbara to kill her, especially after killing her lover.
The song choice is really awkward.

Very Charmed. Nobody really knew what to do cinematically or TV wise with Superheroes before Nolan. So grateful we have shows like Gotham now that actually have merit to them.

Nope Helena just has super jump as one of her powers and Barbara has a device that enhances her leaping abilities.
The show wasn't that good but it did start to cook at the end. Things were in place to make a good 9 more. Dina was a perfect Barbara. There should be a reboot in current CW(where's Helena? And Isabel should have regenerated.) but the divide between the TV shows and forthcoming movies will probably prevent this. Hope not.

That's a good question.., "where's Batman?" I would say retired but then again if Alfred can join forces at his age than so can Bruce Wayne unless the Joker killed him too.
The only problem I had with the fight scenes from this show was that they were to wired up and acrobatic in style. Lot's of over the head high jumps and cartwheels. At least with Dark Angel they actually used authentic Martial Arts movements but exaggerated them.

There was no problem with the fights; that's exactly how they were meant to look. As for Batman, we never found out where he'd gone, but it was heavily implied that he was still keeping an eye on Gotham and on his daughter.

@@ETH5626 It wasn’t that bad, especially compared to today’s CW. Mia Sara was great as an older version of the original Harley from the animated series. She throws in little quirky mannerisms, like those unnecessary flips and the funny way she runs at Helena, along with crazy expressions, like I would imagine original Harley would have. That look when she’s getting up from being kicked down, as if she’s so crazy determined, she didn’t feel it, and the whole act, really, was the way I imagine classic Harley would react.
