I always had that same recollection about Gremlins as well seeing it at a young age. My go to Christmas watches now are Black Christmas and A Christmas Carol 1984 as used to watch it every year as a kid in tv and it’s great nostalgia. Inside is class! Nice choices pal 👍
Awesome list there Tim 😀🍿🎄☃️🎸🎶 Great to see ‘Gremlins’ on the list; my fav ever Xmas film 💚 Love the BBC rendition of ‘Lion; Witch & The Wardrobe’ 🤩 Will have to take a look at ‘Rare Exports’; love BM Returns; seeing it on Thursday on 35mm; just like I did last year 😀🍿🐧🦇 NYC is amazing mate; I went for my B’day earlier in the year; if you ever get the chance to go mate; highly recommend 🙌 I never seen ‘Eyes Wide Shut’; but I know that set at Xmas; I just bought the film ‘Fanny & Alexander’ on the BFI set; which is set at Xmas aswell 😊 ‘Black Christmas’ is a very solid Xmas slasher mate 😀👍 I got that Bob Clark set fairly recently 👌 Keep up the awesome work Tim mate 🙌
Funky Rudolph, woah woah wo not seen it's a wonderful life ?😮 , it's a fantastic film with such a good meaning not just my favourite Christmas film but one of my favourite movies of all time in my top 30 👍🏻 just wonderful, good video mate 👍🏻
Some good choices there matey.. used to have Rare Exports on blu ray but need to get it back again 😎👍 Big fan of the original Charlie and Choc Factory with Gene Wilder.. probably one of my fav family type films 😎👍
Some interesting Christmas viewing choices there Tim, very nice. I have certain classics like Boris Karloff's the Grinch, National Lampoon's Chirstmas Vacation, Frosty, etc., as I grew up with them and they look really good on Blu Ray. Love The Wizard of Oz, one of the many staples of my childhood. I usually like viewing it around Thanksgiving and Easter, those holidays somehow feel more appropriate for the film. My parents and I rented Batman Returns years back in the VHS days and Danny DeVito's Penguin gave my mom the creeps and we never finished it. I like that Michael Keaton and Michael Gough returned as Batman/Bruce Wayne and Alfred respectively, but it wasn't as good as the original I remember. You can never go wrong with the Macauley Culkin Home Alone films, modern classics. I have very particular criteria when it comes to Christmas movies other than the classics we all know and love. Every Thanksgiving I always watch the Spaghetti Western A Pistol for Ringo to ring in the holiday season because it takes place from Dec. 23 to Dec 25. If you enjoy Die Hard, it has a similar vibe in a very unlikely hero saving hostages. Die Hard I can watch all year round, but I can understand why some people see as a Christmas movie. Take care my friend, hope you're well, and speak to you soon.
@tvnash Yep Danny Devito as The Penguin is really scary especially when I watched it when I was younger, I like the atmosphere of Batman Returns. You have got some classicsin your list. I know you are the spaghetti western expert so interesting to know you watch A Pistol For Ringo. Thank you pal, I appreciate you watching and commenting. Have a great Xmas if I don't speak to you prior. I am gonna try and get my video response done regarding the tag though really busy working right up until Xmas
Great video Tim. I'm like you with Christmas films. I don't buy many because you can only watch them a few days a year. I tend to watch The Great Escape or The Dam Busters as they always used to be on at Christmas
@roybarratt5609 Yep you are right there Roy, isn't much chance to watch the Xmas films so I don't own many titles. Watched The Dam Busters when I was younger, can't really remember much of it
