This was my favorite ending music. It was so appropriate to the episode. Tony breaking out of his near death experience and sitting in his hospital chair, still a little delirious.
yeah, i think the sopranos was the greatest tv series in tv history. such great directing, writing and acting wouldnt come together in another project. my favorite scene from mayham is the one when tony goes to finnerty family reunion (metaphorically death/heaven). despite all the insistence from tony blundetto, he hears meadow's voice and chooses to live. it was one of the most touching scenes i've ever seen.
"Mayham" and "Join the Club" before it are my two favorite Sopranos episodes. This song always makes me think of those two, when Tony is caught in some kind of afterlife/purgatory. I can't help but think of Tony helpless and voice-less in the hospital chair after waking from his coma in Mayham, just when this song starts to play. Such good use of great music!
Little known fact: this song first appeared in 1996 on an album by Ugandan musician Geoffrey Oryena. The Belladonna version here is the same but with the vocals removed.
Only 8 400 views.. What a shame.
A masterpiece. The Sopranos brought me here.
