These are absolutely "cherry-cheerful" fish. A few years back I had A. nigripinnis Soriano strain. These were also fabulious fish, but, alas, they petered out on me and I could no longer get my eggs to hatch. I attributed this to inbreeding. Several people in both the Wisconsin and Michigan killi clubs got pairs, and trios from me, but I'm afraid these fish are gone by now. We need to set up a network to get different individuals from the same strain(s), to introduce new genetic material so we can quite losing these beautiful strains and keep them going. I know your viddeo is two years old, but if you still have these, I'd sure love to get some eggs from you. Of course we'd have to wait until spring time when the weather was warmer to send eggs.
I got these fish about 2 years ago from Wet Spot Tropical, might be worth checking there and talking with their team to see where they get theirs from as well.
Last I looked, Wet Spot is in Portland, Oregan. I'm in Gwinn, MI in the U.P.. I will be out in Bellingham, WA this spring to work a seasonal gig with the WDFW, but until I move back out there permanently I put fish raising on hold. All my tanks are presently dry and in storage.@@user-bigschnoz
Interesting that you got so many males to display full breeding color at the same time. In my hands, usually onle one or two males are fully colored while others, presumably subordinate in some hierarchy I can't easily detect, are not completely "colored up."
Females are the grey ones yes! I had them together like this since they hatched, and they did fight as you can see, but not too bad! A bigger tank would have been better though as this tank was only a 40 L !
@@Jarvi_ not yet… Tracking just says the Russian post has the pkg… The Estimated arrival date is Jan 11… Honestly I don’t have much faith in them hatching, especially if they get really cold during shipping.. We’ll see though…
It's been a bit slow but I reckon dealing with customs is... I ordered them on Nov 17th. they were handed off to the postal service on the 19th and just released from customs on NOV 30th...
For anyone that wants to buy Killifish eggs you can find them on www.aquabid.com ! Only buy when weather is warm, as the eggs will die in cold weather!

Really beautiful fish. So many of the "lebias" fish to me are outstanding.

Muito linda essa espécie. Tive alguns a mais ou menos 15 anos atrás, só que agora não se encontra mais a venda no Brasil. Realmente uma pena...
