I have spent my whole summer working at a summer camp in US and thought it would be fun to show you how a normal day at a summer camp would look like. It gives you a brief day in my life as a summer camp staff. Is summer camp in America worth it? This video will show you what a summer camp in America is really like.

Good luck on the search!! I applied via a company but it you are from the states you should be able to just apply. Not shore where to find the camps tho..

Do you have to organise all those activities yourself (lake, arts and crafts, cooking etc.) or are they prepared for you by the camp?
The activities are planned by the camp and prepared 😄😄

do you have breaks or do you work everyday? I want to be able to hike where I work on an off-day but i'm not sure if that's a thing.
You have one day off and that’s it. You work from 8/9 am until 10 pm 6 days a week. On my days off I went hiking near by, to the city and I also stayed at camp because you are so tired.
Okay I'm confused, you said this was a summer camp in New York but every staff member that talked in this video had a British accent. Were all the counselors foreigners?
It’s 50/50 with Americans and foreigners 😃

do you need to be good at an activity specifically ?or can you just teach it?
You do not have to be good but you definitely need some knowledge about the activity to become a specialist.
@@SunnyBondevik so are you able to go and not be a specialist but just supervise your group and help out a bit with the activities ?
Yes exactly! That’s what I did. I learned so much as well and had heaps of fun

If they live in the US it should not be a problem!

Hi, how easy do you think it is to get hired to camp america? what was your specific role?
I didn’t use camp America but it’s quite easy as long as you can speak a little English! I did not have a specific role I was with the kids on the different activities 😁
