    I LOVE MY CDP-350! I love the way the keys feel and the variety of tones. I still need to learn the features like accompanyment and the arpeggator. I do wish you could vary the volume between tones when stacking them. Other than that this hammer weighed keyboard is better than I can make use of for now.

    Nice touch and good technique but one thing about the Chorus effect - the player was playing staccato notes so you can't hear the chorus effect at all they all sound the same - you need to play legato and hold the notes longer to hear the chorus overlay to the sound. Also a closer view of the buttons when pressing combinations would be more helpful - can't see a thing from a meter away from the piano.

      Also sounds were upgraded, e.g. piano tone has improved decay.
      The differences are discussed e.g. in a video review at Alamo Music Center, see:

      The main upgrade point from the S 350 seems to be that this model has 128-note polyphony against the S 350's 64-note. There are a couple of other small things, too. But one thing they STILL haven't changed - even though many users have suggested it to them time and time again - is the volume control between two tones if you're layering tones together. You still get both tones at the same volume. This is a big drawback for gigging musicians. I have a 350, which I'm happy enough with - apart from that one feature (or lack of). My previous piano was a Yamaha P 85, which DID have that feature - as do both the Yamaha P 45 and P 125, which are around the same price point as the Casio (though without the huge number of tones). It was so nice to be able to get a Grand Piano voice as the main volume tone, with strings layered underneath at a quieter volume. Can't do it on the S 350... or, now, the S 360. I can't believe it would require too much of a tweak. Casio - please listen to your customers!

    My son is interested in this one, but the lack of being able to control the volume on the layered tones seems so very odd.
    Why not have this feature on this model?

      I agree. It's an easy tweak for them to make, and Casio users have been calling their attention to it for a long time. They don't seem to listen.

    I love my keyboard, although I need a thorough tutorial in it.
    One HUGELY FRUSTRATING flaw with it though is that you are unable to adjust the volume of layered voices!! I could do that with my old Yamaha back in the 90s!
    It seems like such an absurdly easy feature to adjust - why Casio? Why?

      como arranjador (ritmos e acompanhamentos de baterias). O s360 pelo que vi é melhor pois agora tem mais polifonia e bluetooth o que é importante para um piano digital moderno.
      Se você pretende tocar só piano tem modelos mais em conta que são só pianos mesmo (CDP s100 e CDP S150).
      Espero ter ajudado.

    Hello, I'm using Samsung Galaxy S22+ with Android 13 and Casio CDP-S360. I can connect my phone with the WU-BT10 as an audio device and Chordana Audio works (digital piano plays the audio songs), but when I try to connect my phone as a midi device then I can't see WU-BT10 device when I scan inside Chordana application (but it is visible inside Bluetooth list in my phone as a BT10 MIDI). I tried many approaches and nothing works so far (restarting phone, piano, clearing Bluetooth settings inside CDP-S360, etc). I can add that, when I put piano in Pairing mode and it blinks I hear the increased melody in the device, so somehow it detects. For now, I see the issue inside the Chordana app that it can't detect the WU-BT10 in CDP-S360. Any ideas ?

      @emil8367 Год назад +1

      I tested also on different phone: Huawei P20 Pro (CLT-L29) with Chordana Play and Music Space and the same issue. BT MIDI is visible, but when I try to establish connection via one of the mentioned apps, I can't because the scan function inside these apps doesn't show BT MIDI at all. (of course, permission is given for both apps). The only what I see are BT Audio and BT MIDI from phone level in phone BT scan, but MIDI doesn't appear (APairing is blinking on the CDP-S360, so is awaiting) in the apps (only BT Audio works).

      After connecting the USB-C to USB-B cable and unplugging the cable, the Bluetooth MIDI device was visible inside Casio Music Space and Chordana. Before, I never used cable to connect devices. A bug in software with detection ? Bluetooth was displaying Audio and Midi before, but only 2 mentioned apps couldn't show the MIDI device !

    I suspect the main difference is a re-engineered keyboard that doesn't have a "lighter feel" on the black keys, like the CDP-S350... that's been the BIG complaint about the former model. (Waiting to feel for myself!) They also added more tones and rhythms it seems... but NO 1/4" L/R phono jacks on the back... it's still a 1/8" stereo plug. :-/

    • @MartianTom
      @MartianTom 2 года назад

      I have an S350 and play mainly classical. I've heard this complaint made before about the lighter feel on the black keys. I have to be honest and say I've never noticed it. Before this, I had a Yamaha P85. I don't feel any difference between the two - except that the Yam's speakers were on top, so the sound was a bit less muted. The Casio certainly has a quieter key action than the Yam.

    As much as I hate to say it, this tutorial isn't very informative. Going back and forth between incremental tone/tambour variations on the C major scale and a cheesy pre recorded pop accompaniment doesn't tell me too much. What I want to know is, because this keyboard lacks a dedicated 1/4 inch in/output jack, I want to know which would be the best 1/8 inch converter so.that I may run it thru a regular amp for gigging purposes

    • @theprior46
      @theprior46 Год назад

      As far as I have read the only output you can amplify through external device is the headphone output socket. This won't give a very good quality sound when amplified by a separate amp. I have yet to try it myself as I've only had mine two days. The main volume isn't very realistic through it's own speakers - a real acoustic piano can make a lot more volume.

    • @theprior46
      @theprior46 Год назад

      I was amazed to find there is a transpose function to shift to any key of the 12 in the scale. I haven't tried this but I downloaded a user manual .pdf document from the Casio site (not the quick start guide) and it said this. Press 15 Function button. Use 14 to get the transpose item. Press 15 (ENTER) displays a number indicator and you have UP pitch or down pitch using the 14 Dial. When you get the pitch say moving say middle C up two semitones to D press ENTER which is 15 to apply the new pitch to the whole keyboard. It then says Press TONE 16 to exit but it doesn't say this cancels the new key it has been shifted to. Maybe turning the keyboard off and back on again will cancel your changes - it usually does as the CDP S360 doesn't save anything after you switch off. Hope you find that useful I'm going to check this out now. Regards.
