Em is like a walking dictionary and thesaurus. The only rap artist to make the top 10 record sales of all time. Meaning, he's up there with the Beatles, Elvis, Michael Jackson, etc.
Caterpillar was savage! Psychopath was crazy. However, caterpillar and the ringer have to be rated up there with any of the best lyrical masterpieces..., bar none!

Love him or hate him, Em is what you get when a rapper takes shit seriously and hones his craft. Many a rapper out there would be a hell of a lot better if they put half the effort into getting better as he has. I think they know that too which is why they hate.

I think Em is the goat. He’s like sudoku meets algebra meets word play and set loose in in any battlefield. If you want to open your eyes to a different goat, one who is straight rap meets Shakespeare and forged in rock and roll, people need to stop sleeping on Aesop Rock. He’s the New York underground king and there isn’t another lyricist like him on the planet. And he has a massive catalog of exceptional music. I put him on a level with Em, but in spite of both of them being insanely talented rap artists they don’t really do the same thing. Fair warning, though. Aes is NOT for the casual listener. You have to dig deep and think about what he’s saying and you might want to keep a dictionary handy. Absolutely worth it, though. Really enjoying your reactions, guys.
