I have this exact laptop running on windows 11. This is a poor review. Once all updates are installed, settings and security settings are configured, unwanted programs removed and quick start disabled this is a great lightweight laptop with a decent build quality for an excellent price. Add that extra storage and your all set. There are hundreds of excellent videos here on RUclips to show anyone how to change settings on this model laptop to optimize the CPU and RAM, etc. Once my laptop starts up my CPU with task manager open runs at 8-9%. RAM is at 2.2-2.4. It would have been nice to have 8 gigs of RAM or at least dual channel memory but you can't have everything in a budget laptop. I've had mine for 5 months with no overheating, no lags and never had the system freeze up. This has been the best selling laptop on Amazon for a couple of years now. Great for traveling, a portable laptop to use around the house, for students, business travelers and simply for a backup system. The WiFi and Bluetooth always stay connected. You can change and improve the display settings in the Asus app that comes in a software update. You can disable the keyboard and/or the numeric feature of the touchpad too if you'd like. Thank you ASUS. ❤

      Hey, how's the battery life?

@@secondarythoughts2385 Great question and I can't believe I left that out of my comment. Battery life is amazing! Watching videos/movies I get at least 6 hrs. a bit more. Using MS Office, email and or searching the web my fully charged battery will last over 9 hrs! Keep in mind I have my display brightness turned down because I usually am in a room that's not brightly lit when using any of my devices anyway and of course it helps to dim the room a bit and turn down the display brightness especially while streaming online. And goodness this little PC has Windows installed. I much prefer Windows over Chrome OS any day of the week. 😉 There is one thing I don't like about this laptop if I am going to be honest. It's the strange yellow color around the enter key. Definitely not the color I would have chosen. If anything Asus should have made a rubber color ring that could be removed or changed. Unfortunately they made this color around the enter key a permanent part of the keyboard enter key. I dislike it so much I keep a keyboard cover on my keyboard. It does the trick... LOL. Who ever designed that should be fired! 😁

@@secondarythoughts2385I guess not so good, still hasn't charged up 🤣. Truth be told though, I thought it was a terrific review, whether or not we agree with their opinion on its best usage scenario or not, they tested it's performance out of the box: as is.

@@secondarythoughts2385 quite good. I got 8-9 hours of battery life when internet is off & only using Word & Excel. And 4-5 hours on internet when browsing. Performance is helped by SSD, it can even load the Adobe Photoshop CS6 application quickly! But unfortunately only 4GB soldered RAM so it would lag if you open too many applications.

I agree. This laptop may lacks in performance but for a laptop this small, I am satisfied. I can even carry it inside my travel tablet sling pouch.

I have Intel® Celeron®, 64 GB eMMC, Blue it was a christmas gift straight out of the box I was very close to asking my wife to send it back, but after optimising the system and debloating windows
11 it does the job intended! very very very slow out of the box, for someone who doesn't know their way around computer I wouldn't recommend.

Has become my main laptop. Installed Linux and an SSD and it’s quite acceptable for daily use. Linux required a fair bit of fiddling, so wouldn’t recommend it if you don’t have the patience to Google weird little issues.

It is adorable except for that ugly yellowish ring around the enter key. Whomever thought of that should be demoted -whomever executed the idea and made it reality should be fired. They could have made it removable or at least a color that matches the laptop like deep blue. Leaving it plain would have looked much better. I have a keyboard cover over mine does the trick.

You will definitely need a more powerful CPU and more RAM for video editing. Google according to the operating system you are running and the editing program you will be using in order to get the recommended specs for a Laptop or PC. Hope that helps.

I own this laptop (or should I say, netbook?). Awful specs indeed. But display is fine.. brightness/nits is not disappointing. Speaker is also fine for me, with ASUS Audiowizard software, the stereo sounds delightful for a laptop this size. This laptop is soo compact that I can put it inside my travel sling pouch. I mainly use it for my job which mainly just deal with Excel, Word, and Canva. I am also able to run IBM SPSS and Adobe Photoshop CS6 on this.

Bloatware is just one half of the problem I believe. Windows 11 is so poorly optimized in terms of resource usage that I would NOT sell any Celeron laptops with it being pre-installed. I have almost the same little machine, but the 210KA model with the newer Jasper Lake platform, and I can tell you this thing flies with Windows 10, even with plenty of software installed. The only problem I've faced since using it was the occasional thermal throttling due to the lack of active cooling, but if you reduce CPU inensive tasks or just lower the system's power plan it's avoidable. Really nice machine overall for the price of a low-end ARM tablet that cannot do half of this.
