Why was North Station built? Clearly the Victorians built Colchester Town, as the main station as it is so close to the town centre. You can tell the Clacton to Colchester line is nearly 200 years old those sharp curves!
Been to Colchester and Colchester Town stations. Colchester Town seems to be a small ideal station in Colchester with only 1 platform that remains. But I think it used to have 4 platforms before.
