Stranded in Bali???!!! - Canggu Surfing 28 Mar 2020

Beach scenes from early in the morning at Echo Beach in Canggu, Bali.
There was a good 2-3ft swell running, with the odd larger set and some barrels on offer for those brave enough to pull in.
Many foreigners are now stranded in Bali due to travel restrictions, reduced/cancelled long haul flights and very expensive one way fares back to their home countries.
Visa restrictions entering Bali also mean the island is effectively sealed off to incoming tourists for the moment, so the crowds have thinned at many popular surfing beaches (some beaches like Uluwatu have been completely closed off by the local authorities).
On this day Pererenan rivermouth right hander was working well throughout, the sandbar was mediocre with a heavy rip current, and Echo beach left (reef break) was working too with a few barrels on offer.
