Yes you are right...
But....According to Robbin's Pathology, hyperthyroidism leads to an overactivity of the sympathetic system. It also goes on to mention that this sympathetic hyperstimulation in the gut leads to increased motility leading to diarrhea and malabsorption.

Sir i have one query. My TSH is 0.12 and T3,T$ are normal. Doctor started my treatment for Hyperthyroidism and giving me Tab ATEN 25 (Atenolol). which is a drug for treating hypertension. please explain. I will be greatfull to you sir.

First of all, Hyperthyroidism promotes/ increases HEART RATE, WHICH INCREASES STROKE VOLUME AND CARDIAC OUTPUT...And hence blood pressure. So you may be hypertensive, thats why doctor has prescribed you anti- hypertensive drug..hope u got the point.
