2 crocodiles, yeah, right! :D I haven't played Zooloretto, i have Coloretto (played twice maybe) and i play Zooloretto Dice all the time on Yucata. It looks simple, but it can be a very tricky brain burner. I love using weird strategies and puzzling my opponents (sometimes play with coworkers during the break), though the one common strategy is not to fill all enclosure too fast. Bonuses are not worth much, and -2 points can hurt you badly and limit your choices.
They aren't really boards, it's a block of paper sheets, 100 included in the box if I remember correctly. It's like in Yatzee when you sometimes get a bunch of paper score cards, these are just more pretty.

I think he did forget the extra coin, but you only get the bonus for a full group of animals if you are the first one to finish that group.

take 2 crocodiles?! You cray!
You received 1 lion and 2 coins, but only marked one coin. Also, why no bonus points for the filled in ostriches, monkeys and elephants?
Thanks. I missed that rule during my viewing.
You have to be the first one to fill it.
