This is one of those songs that when you listen to it, you feel highly inspired to do something that you'd never have done in a million years. This song is soothing and with such strong meaning. This is the kind of music that should be played on the radio.
This is so sad ㅠ.ㅠ i just hate how many bad things happen in his world. You know, i thought I was going through a lot, but after listening to this song, i can juse totally know that there are worse things happening. I really encourage people to listen to this and to really understand what the words mean. To you Christians out there, show this to ur non Christian friends and have them listen to it. I bet they're going to want to know more about our saviour after this! ♥
@SergeantCuddles That verse is explaining how child soldiers were used in many conflicts, like in Africa, as well as South America. And it's showing how the child soldiers don't know who they are fighting, but they are forced to. And it shows how innocent they are, because they won't even have a chance to know who they are fighting, even if they kill their mother, they would not know.
@Daughterork09 one of Tim and my friends from college went to went to work in South Africa at Sparrow Village, a home for children and adults suffering from HIV/AIDS that have been abandoned, abused, and neglected. She started a music program with the children there, and "Umoya Ungewele" was born out of that.
Heard this song through Jubilee Project's teaser "Back to Innocence" and I cannot stop listening to it - literally on repeat right now. Such an amazing song. Thanks for uploading :)
After I watched KONY 2012, these lyrics immediately came to my mind. He's only five; A child and a soldier They will make him kill his people when he's older And late at night he calls out for his mother But he took her life He's pretending to be brave instead But his family's already dead I cover up my ears and I turn my head While he screams so loudly Please watch KONY 2012 and spread it. Make Kony famous!

Hey I want to know what the music after "My heart is open but my hands are hiding, Afraid I'll feel you dying, I wish that I could touch your soul but I'm just another man, There's nothing I can do" It sounds like african music from a female. Do you have the lyrics for that part??
"He's only five; A child and a soldier They will make him kill his people when he's older And late at night he calls out for his mother But he took her life" Could someone clarify what that verse is referring to?
