- Jay Machado is a senior modeler at Industrial Light & Magic and has worked on films such as Transformers 4, Star Wars: The Force Awakes, and Rogue One; televisions shows including The Mandalorian on Disney+; and the ride “Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run” at Disneyland’s Galaxy’s Edge.
Jay graduated from Gnomon in 2011 and is now an award-winning visual effects artist who regularly uses the skills and concepts he was taught at Gnomon to create amazing art for a galaxy far, far away. Is gnomon linked or networked with any European equivalent school that I won't need a visa to go to? (I'm in Ireland) Also is there anywhere I can see entry portfolios to get a sense of what I need to do to get in?

I'm 27, from Chile and I graduated from a Chilean film school (Escuela de Cine de Chile) with a degree in filmmaking with a major in production and direction. I'm currently saving money to apply for the two year full time course certificate. Am I too old at 27? What is the avarage age in the mentioned course? Thanks in advance. Also, I'm proficient with Blender and the Adobe Suite but I'm not an illustrator by any means, in fact I haven't really studied or learned drawing at all. Thats also a concern for me.
I checked it on google and i was surprised to see a 50-55 y old dudes enrolled in 3 year degree programme
I myself am 23 and now i ve realised that i am cut out for vfx and now i will be applying for mass communication degree because as an indian there are no good colleges here that offer you anything different from online materials .

This is an excellent video. I am a teacher, and I would like to show it to my college class. In order to do that it would need to be captioned. Can you add English captions to it? I would like to highlighting Gnomon as part of a career path, but my school is stressing accessibility standards which require the media that I show to be captioned. ~Thanks for considering it.
It looks like you can enable captions on this natively in RUclips now :)
