I think she said it's part of the Americas, which is correct
I thought she just said it’s in America which is short for the USA. We don’t consider ourselves as part of Central or South America. I stand corrected if she said something else. I don’t have time to relisten.

Actually, America is a land mass comprised of the continent of North America and the continent of South America. Vera could have been more specific and said that Belize is part of Central America; but she wasn't incorrect when she said it's part of America.
