Very nice video again . I am going to be in Athens on Sunday for 2 days .Also have you try Paxos and AntiPaxos Islands yet ? I might try Naxos Island next year .
Just stumbled across this video collection and plan on watching all of them. You are so refreshing. We head to Athens, Nafplio, and Hydra next month. We are so excited to finally visit Greece!
Heading to Athens, Mykonos and Santorini in 6 weeks! I’ll only have 1.5 days/2 nights in Athens so I’m trying to narrow down things I want to do one my one full day in Athens. Thank you for your helpful videos. X
Honestly, you cannot go wrong with any of these places because they are all amazing. But some of my absolute favorites were The Panathenaic Stadium and National Garden. And of course Acropolis of Athens is a must! Have fun😘
How was your trip? My husband and I are going for our honeymoon in May I can’t wait. Any good hotels that’s affordable and nice lol? Also where the sunset is nice
Hi Anastasia! I love your channel!!! I lived in Athens for many years, I am not familiar with DaVinchi Gelato. Anyways, you are also from Rome so you are very aware of what a good Gelato should look like. Just FYI (sorry if I am bothering you) a key difference between gelato and ice cream is that the Gelato has less air and a denser texture. If the Gelato is pilled up in a container at the shops and is not melting, that means it is rich in vegetable fats and emulsifiers and not really a good quality. I learned this from a food tour guide in Rome and from Italian friends :) Gelato overflowing its bin (like I saw in this video) is usually a good sign that the Gelato is not a good quality. xoxo
Hi! Thank you so much for your kind words🙏 Yes, I agree with those differences between gelato and ice cream (there are tons others.) You probably don't know but I own two food tours in Rome and I have the entire video dedicated to the best gelato places in Rome and the main differences between gelato and ice cream: ruclips.net/video/gAeBUdpm3vc/видео.html I found that particular gelato place in Greece to be excellent. Yes, obviously I cannot compare it to the gelato places in Italy. Just like it would be mission impossible to find gyros as good as in Greece. xoxo
A new hotspot for the city the last 5 years at least is the new complex of buildings that houses the National Library and the National Lyric Stage is the SNFC (derived from Stavros Niarchos Foundation Complex) which is located near the Faliro bay at the beginning of Syggrou Avenue. It has a nice long pond that you can sail with small boats an exquisite Opera theatre with great acoustics and of course a great rooftop with winter and summer coffee shops with stunning view ( I would say a view to kill ) both to the sea and of course towards Acropolis and City Center. Also it has a great park and in summer time there is a huge open air cinema that is functioning.
Thank you for the beautiful video! Any recommendations about medical insurance for emergencies while in Greece? Can you recommend a Greek website to buy insurance for 2 weeks? Thanks.
Janna, would love to help you on this one, but I didn't have insurance while I was in Greece. As I now live in Italy and we have free medical care here, I did not bother getting it, to be honest. BUT the first year I moved from the U.S. to Italy, I did get myself an insurance with Insure My Trip: www.insuremytrip.com Thank God I never had to use it, but I remember I liked them. Hope this helps in any way.
@@StayFabulousTL Great stuff by you,i live in Athens so nothing intresting to do on those two sneaky recommendations from Ceblo Espobar.Nothing to see and can get pick pocketed or robbered.Instead you can visit the Athens south coast with several choices great beach bars to chill during the July-Augusts high temperatures
very nice video thanks dear actually i have 2 quistions as you know italy and greece so which country is more beautiful in general and which city of them you prefer to live in for life
Oh please don't make choose🤣🤣 Greece and Italy are SO different, its impossible to compare. As far as living, ideally I would spend June-September in Paros and October - May in Rome.
I love how you give good details and information. 1 silly question I plan to go to Athens and Santorni will my flight have to be in Athens or is there a airport on Santorni?
Thank you so much🙏 Not a silly question! There is an airport in Santorini. But if you are flying from another country, most likely you will have to connect in Athens.
Hello fabulous, thank you for useful information .I have questions, I’m going to Greece as you know get phone International an Internet from US is cost 200 per month if you have any information how I can get phone cart and Internet from Mykonos island I appreciate to let me know thank you fabulous
HI Anastasia ! I am so excited! our schedule was changed five times due to covid..and we will travel at the end of April. I have a question for you.. would you recommend us to buy the tk in advance through the website? which one, if you have it?
Very obvious, especially when a question about Rome is asked under the Athens video🤣🤣 I do not believe you need tickets for Pantheon. The entrance is free. And as far as the museum, I assume you refer to the Vatican museum, here is the website for the tickets: www.thevaticantickets.com/
Thanks for the great video! Are people/police walking around checking vaccine status? We are suppose to be there in two weeks and see things are changing there.
I completely understand. To be honest, news tend to exaggerate.... A LOT. When I was in Athens, people were contacting me asking if I was ok because it was showing in the news that Athens were burning. And in reality everything was absolutely normal, business as usual. So please take everything with a grain of salt and have the most wonderful time!
@@StayFabulousTL Thank you for that. It's hard to know how things really are in a place when you are not there and the media is all you can see. It gives me so much more peace to hear this from you. We are still so excited for our first glimpse of Greece!
Hi! I’m going to be in Greece in 2 weeks traveling to Santorini, Mykonos and Athens. Since I’m from the U.S, do you recommend that I take out money at an ATM in the airport or islands? Also, would I be able to use my Credit Card in most places? Thank you! Love your channel ☀️💕
Thank you Kay! I can tell you that I traveled Greece for over 5 months and the most cash I probably used was about $200. You will be able to pay for everything with a credit card in Greece, even something small like a bottle of water or coffee. In some places, not all of them, you can even leave a tip on the card. So I definitely would not bring much cash. Also, for sure do not get cash at the airports. Their rates are insane. I would withdraw some cash on the islands. Hope this helps!
Sarah, I just left for Italy and will definitely do more shopping videos from here. I can tell you as a personal shopper and stylist, when it comes to the designer brands, there is not much of a price difference with the U.S.. If you are looking for good deals on designer brands, lets say Valentino or Brunello Cucinelli, you can visit designer outlets and of course here in Italy they are insanely good! You just need to know where to go.
It depends on the designer. You can definitely find some great deals let's say on linen or local designers as the sales are starting in Europe. Most high end designers don't do sales but you can find some pieces at the discount prices in the outlets.
If you are vaccinated you won't have any problems and you may enter everywhere (cafe, restaurants, museums, busses, ships to the islands etc.) Everything is open there isn't a lock down or sth.
Juan, I agree with the previous comment. Once you get to Greece you will see that everything is operating as normal-businesses, sights, restaurants, cafes, public transport, etc There are tons of tourists everywhere and you honestly don't see or feel like something is off.
Fabulous, so much went into creating this travel guide for you. Truly hope that you will find it useful. Happy travels!
Yes really useful
Thanks
We love Athens. We saw a fantastic concert in the amphitheatre at the Acropolis. It was definitely a highlight of the trip. Great vid x
Thanks I love live music alot 🎶, thank you for this info

Did I just see some guys carrot and eggs in a statue, btw someone pay this Womsn what a great video
Haha! I was wondering about that statue myself. I think those were wings but I am not sure🤣🤣
You will see many "carrots" on statues if you come to Greece. You have to get used to it.
wow!!! the restaurants look amazing! They are now put on the to-do list!!
YAY!!

Now to find that ice cream store, challenge accepted! On 14 day countdown to Athens! ☺️
It's sooo soon!! How exciting! You'll definitely find the store, it's in Plaka area, which everyone who comes to Athens visits at some point.
Hi! Love your videos! I will have one day in Athens via cruise ship. In addition to the Acropolis, what should I see and do? Thanks!
Hi Patti! Thank you. I would also visit the Panathenaic stadium or Acropolis museum and then spend late afternoon enjoying National Garden.
Your videos are amazing ! Let me suggest an attraction in Athens. The National Archeological Museum , actually my number two.
Thank you!
athens is very big city

I did not do a tour, but I am sure you can find some excellent tours on Airbnb experiences.
I have my plans in mid of December will the museums be open for tourists.
If nothing changes-yes, of course!
