Exciting news for all my fellow travellers and foodies! 🎉 I've just launched Shun Tours, offering unique and personal guided tours across Tokyo. Check out the details and book your adventure at www.shuntours.com. Can't wait to explore with you! ✈🍣
Thank you, Sarah. In these days of perfection in social media posts, it is so refreshing to watch someone else (as well) spill on herself, and let us laugh with and not at her, because of course, we are all alike. 😊 One evening I came home and discovered that I had worn my T-shirt turned inside out the entire day (perhaps I need glasses?). But I mean, who will care in 100 years?! Life goes on. 😅
Ha ha. Whenever I travel, it is always food focused. My favorite beside eating is go cookware shopping, as well as look at kitchen appliances and bath fixtures.
Hi Sarah, love your work ❤. It’s an honour and pleasure to be your new subscriber. I just returned from 3 days in Tokyo and am already planning a return trip in 2025. I was fascinated with the Tokyo Station, the surroundings and underground malls but we only had limited time there (and yeah, we got lost a bit being first timers 😅). Surely I told myself, there is a local gal who offers private tours of the Tokyo Station and surrounding that includes food and shopping. And Voila…just like that, this video pop up 🎉. You can imagine how excited I was to discover Shun Tours 🎉🎉🎉. And I am telling my family and friends about your channel and travel business 😊. Congratulations on the launch of your business and a belated congratulations to you and your family on your wedding. Be Well.
Wow thank you so much for such a nice comment!! Tokyo Station is very confusing even as a local 🤣 I would love to take you on a private foodie tour next year! Please let me know when your dates are fixed 😊
Stopped at that Starbucks!!! Thanks for the preview! And walked around the Imperial Palace and the Train Station...all based on your recommendation!! Thank you!
Great video! Wish I had seen this video before my trip! Been to Tokyo Station twice to take the shinkansen and got lost both times 😂 ended up with no time to eat in the station! I will bookmark all the places in this video for next trip to Japan!
Hellooooo guys!! Here are 9 things you can do around Tokyo Station!! I’m planning to make this into a series. If you have a request of an area you would like to watch, do let me know!! I am yet to plan & film the second video ☺️
Kindly mention what month you were in that location and day of the week so we know if it's a weekday or weekend, to avoid crowds. Don't they have English menus in the restos around Tokyo station. Thanks.
This is a great video series idea Sarah. I hope to see more of them. I just finished a trip to Japan, and I felt I only scratched the surface of Tokyo. I'd love for you to do a video of Ueno - I felt there was so much food to eat but I could only manage a walk through the market in the time I had. ありがとうございます😁
Thank you for this video! I will be staying near Tokyo Station (not the Tokyo Station hotel sadly) and this is just what I was looking for. My question is, my hotel is about 5 minute walk from Tokyo Station. Will my iPhone work to help me not get lost around here? My sense of direction is not that great. Thanks!
You keep giving me great ideas around places I am heading to later this year. Now if you can make one each for the Hanzomon area, and the coastline near Naramoto you will just about complete my week around Tokyo!
Very informative video. Always good to get recommendations from a locals perspective(especially when you can show a map of the area). Someday, when I finally get to visit Japan, I hope to visit Kumamoto(where my Grandfather was from) & Yamaguchi(where my Grandmother was from). Thank you for always making great videos of Japan.
This is a awesome new video in Tokyo. Sarah I'm so happy that you are going to make this into a series and I love it. Happy 4th Of July week here from America.
Great video!! So many cool places to eat! Adding it to my list!! Kara-age and Ume-Shuu highball is probably my favorite thing to order when going out in Japan!! I cant wait to be back!! 😋😋
Great video and a really cool idea for a series. I am curious when you talk in English and walk down a hall and see signs in both languages, what one do you tend to read more? Thank you for the video!
When I’m filming for the video I tend to look at English! When I’m on my own not filming, I tend to look at Japanese but if the English is interesting I look at the English 😂
Thanks Sarah!!! I just came from Japan, went for thefirst time n felt so bad after watching yr video that l cdn't go around Tokyo station but tried to go to lmperial palace, the second last day of our return but cd go to the gardens which were not as impressive as you showed in the video. We cdn't see the palace also....
Great video! How easy is to find all these locations? Only have two hours after arriving by Shinkansen but would love to visit character street and other locations you showed. Thanks!
The ones within Tokyo Station are easy to find because you can just follow the sign or ask a member of the station crew. The other places are also easy to find on Google Maps too ☺️
Sarah Sama you are very beautiful, love your humor and your video. I bet the Imperial gardens would look amazing during Cherry Blossom season. You are too funny lol. You know the food is delicious when you make a mess. Would love to see videos on Kagoshima or Naha, Okinawa.
A lot of these places only have Japanese menu (maybe except for ramen street and others) but you can always use the camera function of Google Translate
Believe it or not, I was semi-excited when you mentioned the Nijūbashi, and I thought "NiZiU-bashi" by mistake 😅 Oops! Anyway, Tokyo station for me is just a through-way to Ginza and Tsukiji. I'm generally not good with big crowds 😭
@@TokyoFoodieSarah I was there during GW as well and man, what a nightmare it was to navigate through 💀 All just to get through to the Yaesu side and go to Nihombashi!
Starbucks was ridiculous in Tokyo. Even the one near my hotel in a not-so-touristy area was packed(Gotanda Station). But then again, it was pretty much the same for every restaurant or food shop I went to. Even McDonald’s was full of people at 10pm.
I checked and it seems like they had a pop up store in Fukuoka until last month! But unfortunately there are no Mofusand stores unless there’s a pop up 😢
My first ex was Sofia, my second one was Sandra, if I mix them both (both portuguese as I am myself SEWWEEYY) y'all get Sarah. Fkn gorgeous all of them regardless my drunk levels.
I miss when you tubers were respectful in Japan and blurred the faces of people in the background. Rather than filming those who do not give permission.
You lost me at STARBUCKs...I didn't come to Japan to drink coffee from a chain in the US. I guess this video is for the Otaku types who just got there based on what they have seen on Instagram and not there to actually visit Japan. All those places are nice, but boring and not at all "japan".....

😂😂
Nowadays there are t-shirts that have labels on the outside and looks like it’s been worn inside out. So I guess it’s fine 😂
Ha ha. Whenever I travel, it is always food focused. My favorite beside eating is go cookware shopping, as well as look at kitchen appliances and bath fixtures.
That tiramisu looked amazing! I love red bean + matcha together :)

Hi Sarah, great video as always. I was just wondering how your Sake qualifications were going?
Thank you for the comment ☺️ I really haven't been able to get enough time for it as things have been pretty hectic recently... 😢

Thank you for the comment!! I absolutely love Okinawa so I’d love to make a video when I visit there ☺️☺️ Kagoshima is also great 🙌
Are the shops all in Tokyo station basement? Thank you
Thanks a lot for informations .
Sarah do theses places for food have english menus as well or do you have to have a translator with you? thanks for the inspiration
A lot of these places only have Japanese menu (maybe except for ramen street and others) but you can always use the camera function of Google Translate
@@TokyoFoodieSarah yes I have discovered how well it works offline too thanks

Is there vegetable ramen?

Yup Tokyo station was super busy because I was there on Golden Week 😱

I don't just eat lunch, I wear it as a fashion statement - I need those Shimitori kits!
Shimitori FTW 💪

Oh yea Starbucks is super full even in really local and non-central areas 😂
I love the shark-cat. But in Fukuoka they don't sell it... (do they?)
I checked and it seems like they had a pop up store in Fukuoka until last month! But unfortunately there are no Mofusand stores unless there’s a pop up 😢
Enjoyed that...maybe when you hit 100,000 subs you can stay at that expensive hotel.🙂
One day… 🥹 Please promote my channel to your friends 🥹
Went down Character Street (no idea it was called that, thanks) and I was like *_where the hell is the food!!!_* 😆
Maybe you can visit here too, best beaches in boracay
Hi Sarah how can I get you as a tour guide, I'm planning to go Japan for the first time thanks, your English is great, I'm from philippines
Hello and thanks for the comment! When are you planning to come to Japan?
She's so funny 😂
I do not drink anything Starbucks !!
In the states their drinks are so very expensive.
As far as coffee goes I grind my own beans and brew myself.
Ohh I see, it's not super expensive in Japan (yet) and it's always super packed
My first ex was Sofia, my second one was Sandra, if I mix them both (both portuguese as I am myself SEWWEEYY) y'all get Sarah. Fkn gorgeous all of them regardless my drunk levels.
You could not give me Starbucks mud water. Nasty and overpriced! Very nice video!
Cười té ghế với video này! Đúng là không thể không yêu kênh của bạn.
Thank you! ☺️
Damn, that karaage looked amazing!! I'd be a greedy bitch too!
Glad you understand 😂😚

It's a train station idk what you expected
All these YT videos about Japan are very boring, only about food…
