  • "Is reincarnation accepted in the Bible?" @ WWHSS (Beta)
    ✔ Answer:
The Bible does not support the concept of reincarnation, which involves the soul's return to live in another body after death. Instead, it teaches the resurrection of the dead and the judgment of souls. According to the Bible, each person lives once, dies, and then faces judgment from God. This judgment leads to either eternal life or eternal separation from God. The emphasis is on living a life of faith and righteousness in the present life and the hope of resurrection and eternal life through Jesus Christ.
    ✔ Reference text:
Hebrews 9:27: "And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment."
John 5:28-29: "Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice, And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation."
2 Corinthians 5:10: "For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad."
Revelation 20:14-15: "And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire."

The high priest and scribes obviously believed in a type of reincarnation when they sent priests and levites to John the Baptist John 1:19
The apostles also believed in this John:9 As He passed by, He saw a man blind from birth. 2 And His disciples asked Him, “Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he would be born blind?” 3 Jesus answered, “It was neither that this man sinned, nor his parents; but it was so that the works of God might be displayed in him.
