- Kyrgyz security forces cordoned off parts of Bishkek after the mob attack on foreigners. On the night of May 17-18, 28 people were injured in violence that was apparently triggered by a social media video of a fight in the courtyard of a Bishkek hostel involving "foreigners".

It's good to see a local who's not exuding barbaric behavior , i mean this i absolutely no offense. Could you please tell me, as a local what exactly happened? I'm from Pakistan and 2 of my friends are studying there. Both in IUK ISM. I was planning to go there this September but not by Allahs wishes i won't. I heard the altercation occurred between krygz intruders messing with Egyptian students. Those students retaliated and those kyrgys in further retaliation formed mobs and commenced attacking foreign students of all international universities. Is this true? Innocent pakistani, Indians, Bengals got tied up in this mess. Also my friends are denying of such exaggeration in the news. Im confused. I really respected and loved the country and traditions. But now seeing how racist and unwelcoming they are with my people, no matter the religion or colour. This made me upset. I hope you understand because you seem like a rational person.

This is shame for Kyrgyzstan 🇰🇬people, government and nationalist. These international students pay huge amount of fees to contribute in Kyrgyzstan 🇰🇬 economy. They are guest and living far from families. But unfortunately Kyrgyzstan 🇰🇬 people are very illiterate to do such kind of things just because of nationalism and jealousy. 15 egyptian men were beating 3 kyrgyz man. That's why fight started. They mistakenly assume pakistani and indians as egyptian. Egyptian men were the perpertators.😊

The fight was between Egyptian students and kyrgystan students (13 may) . Indians, pakistanis were innocents. They were attacked because their facial features are kind of similar to them and also they share(live in ) same hostels. That's why hostels are attacked.

Molodaya gvardia, but it could be lots of streets for example.
