Ltwoo is very popular here in the Philippines, the guys behind this company are also guys that came from SRAM back when theyre operating more in China, its the next choice if you're tight in budget and dont wanna spend to much on shimano or sram components. It works pretty well, never tried it on the trails though. The RD though is much lighter than the SLX RD from shimano, pretty surprising.
backward rotation of crank bro... your crank is pulling your chain ring to its center alignment thats why forward rotation is ok coz RD realigned the chain... but backward, your crank will pull your chain to its center alignment... just maybe bro..
the only issue i encountered w/ AX is sometimes it misses or late shifting on 3rd to the smallest cog in trails. maybe because it doesnt have clutch like shimano
Hi there, I have this drivetrain currently on three different bikes right now. I have zero issues with all three of them. One of the bikes is actually an e-bike and it handles shifting perfectly. I haven't even had the need to adjust the shifting on these drivetrains since I installed them. Some of them are over a year old if not more. The only thing I can think of that might be giving you issues is that the cable is not moving freely or you might have been your cassette or you might have been to your derailleur or derailleur hanger. I ran into an issue like yours on a Shimano drivetrain and I'm still have an issues with it. I haven't fixed it yet but I think it's my housing for my cable that is the culprit.
Your chain is too long. That's your problem. As you go to the smaller sprockets, you lose the necessary tension to allow for the chain to transition as the derailleur moves. So the derailleur moves, but the chain remains in previous gear. I bet the derailleur arm is so far back that the botton chain is completely horizontal in the highest gear (smallest sprocket) and in the lowest gear (biggest sprocket) the lower derailleur arm is pointing straight down or close to it
I recently bought one. I can't seem to adjust the derailleur all too well tbh, best i got it to was it only skipped 9th (9th largest i guess) Gear and went straight to 10
Really? I just reinstalled mine on my e-bike and it works fine. At first I had a kink in the cable housing that wasn't allowing it to shift well but then I straighten out there kink and it shifts great now. Maybe your derailleur hanger is bent? Old chain? Pretty random that it only has issues with a 9th gear. Something is off
@@almostcools Idk I think I'm just having issues adjusting it. Derailleur was new, the chain came with the ax11, so did the chainring. First time adjusting a derailleur/shifter and I'm having an extremely hard time.
I actually use the 11 to 46 cassette. I would check to see if there's any kinks in the shifting cable anywhere. Something's getting stuck. Something's not moving freely. Especially since everything's brand new.
Dude you made the right choice LTWOO is basically sram it because the factory making those part used to manufacture sram parts that got closed then went their own way and rebranded. and you know whats the best part !? They've got parts would pare with shimano and sram parts is you do a little research you would find out ...
Right on man, I actually just bought me another 11 Speed Drive train from LTwoo . I also purchased a 10 speed version of LTwoo. For the money you can’t go wrong. Such an amazing value it’s a 10 Speed limit Drivetrain only cost me $75
Do you think its can be use in light trails only? Like just mountain biking some rough road uphill and downhill. Im not into jumping. I just need a durable deraileur. Im on a tight budget
This drivetrain can pretty much do it all. It doesn't have a clutch so there will be some chain slap If you go on some really rough stuff. But for light trails climbing and descending you're fine. All the bikes have been building lately I've just been using these drivetrains. They're cheap and they're good.
Really? 90 for us is cheap here in California. I wonder if there is a way for us to take advantage of the Philippine price. Because the drivetrains actually pretty good from my experiences. I'd buy it again
I actually just sold the bike the other day, if I didn't have the same frame but in a steel version I would have kept it . I put that drive trail on about 20 rides and it was flawless while on the rides. I would buy that drive train again. If I was building a new bike. It's sooo cheap and good. Always shifted perfectly
You know what unfortunately I sold the bike recently. But I want to say it shifts down three gears but goes up one gear. I'm actually going to do a review on the 10-speed version of this drivetrain I just installed it on a new bike. And that's basically the same setup as 11 speed version. And 10 speed version is really good I was really surprised
Wiith your issues just check if your rd hunger are aline your body screw is aline your cable tension is good tehn its all ok maybe factory defects on rd just get the warranty to get new one its oly 1over 10 have issue
Thanks and I adjusted the b screw and it seemed to be working fine now. Even before then it wasn't really an issue I never was bothered by it on the trail. And these are pretty damn good drivetrains. I'm thinking of just buying another one before the prices go up once people find out
Hi there, you know what to tell you the truth I haven't really noticed too much chain slap but, next time I ride I'll keep my ear out for that but it hasn't really stood out so I don't know if there's an issue with any chainslap. I'll message you back on here once I go on a ride, ( I'm currently having a knee issue and I'm just waiting to heal up before I head out for another ride).
I currently have a 3x crankset and If I wanted to convert it to a 1x set up, do i need to buy a new one? Or i can just remove the other chainrings? Btw, i have a stock crankset. Another question, is there a non-elite version of this gear set? If so, what's their difference?
It really depends on what type of hub body you have on your rear wheel. If you have a 9-speed or a 10-speed or even 11-speed it will fit I don't recall if you can fit it on a 8-speed. That's something you can Google but if you have a HG hub body this drivetrain should fit. This part is pretty much basic. For an 11-speed anyhow, I just purchased a 10-speed version of this drivetrain and have it on my e-bike. It runs really well as well. it's less expensive it is $75 for the whole setup for the 10-speed. Find out what hub body you have for your rear wheel. If you have an HG hub body then you're good. As for the cranks in the front it might be possible to switch to a 1 by. If not I would just remove two of the chain rings and leave the middle one and that would work. I've done that in the past
3 WAKES ago i almost buy this one but a see a shimano deore 11-51 derailleur for the same price and intant buy, but for what i see i so cool also my bike ist a stumpjumper purple whit a supacaz grips purple :3 hi five
You know what dude, I have no reason to take it off. It's a really good drivetrain had zero issues on the trail. I'm going to keep it on there it's cheap and it's good. I'm almost tempted to buy another one before the price goes up because people are going to find out about this pretty soon I'm sure
@@almostcools I see! I have doubts because mechanics here in the Philippines don't trust those brands and some vloggers here in PH (not all) are getting paid by ltwoo to review. And here you are making an honest review. I guess im gonna go with my purchase then. Awesome man! Thanks!
Yeah seriously I have no issues with this drivetrain, I'm going to keep it on there until something breaks. The only issue was setting it up it took a little longer than a Shimano setup would be. I think that's because none of the limit screws were even close to being what they should be so there was a lot of adjustment to be made but once the adjustments were to be made I have no issues with this drivetrain. And for the price I paid even if there was issues I mean the cassette chain and chain ring is worth the price would I pay for the whole drivetrain. So yeah go for it dude
You know what, I actually sold the bike. I was able to get in about 20 rides with it at least and it work flawless. I would totally buy it again. It's cheap and works just fine.

I've taken it out I'm quite a few rides and I got to say I'm very satisfied on the trails with the structure. The value is just amazing.
They are good for sure but the price today is like shimano or sram parts
You only missed the allignment of the Rd we used ltwoo A7 elite with 11-50 cogs.
I admire your stem and handlebar combo. Wish i could have a combo like that
With the problem I would try tightening the b screw to get it further away from the gears
Yeah that's what eventually would I did and fix the issue. Thank you so much
adjust B screw clockwise, the small pulley is hitting the chain and making those skipping motion when you ratchet.
LTWoo is the producer of SRAM components back then.
My NX Eagle has the same problem with the chain falling. It only happens in the highest gear though
Someone mentioned it might be a b- screw adjustment,

Good day sir! Same in my ltwoo a7 rd have an issue with back pedalling in second teeth
Yeah luckily it's not that big of an issue for me since it does take quite a few spins backwards to jump around but yet it shouldn't do that.
@@almostcools the third time I was able to use it, the issue of back pedaling suddenly disappeared
Interesting, I wonder what causes that to happen, good stuff

FYI it's pronounced as L2 and the maker or producer of that gearset is a former head engineer from sram

Is it a clutch rear mech? And do you think it would fit on my 9 speed freewheel found on my 2020 Vitus nucleus 275vr?
There is no clutch on this rear mech. It should fit a hg hub and most likely your 9 speed bike should be a hg hub body.
No clutch, so not great for aggressive mtb riding, but shifts really nice.
