I always wonder on what meaning of coma does this song related to.
It could be:
1. the unconscious state, waiting to be alive or to die eventually (Since this song talks about her conciusness from the past and stuck with it in the first part. In the second part, she talks about trying waking up in reality, and the last part is her being alive and reaching someone),

While yes, her voice is manipulated to sound good, her voice originally came from a living sample. The voice actress that gave GUMI's voice is Nakijima Megumi, a Filipino-Japanese. The recordings done for her voice bank were monotonous for easier manipulation and tuning, just like any other voice bank. That's why GUMI, as well as any other Vocaloid, has her voice heavily edited, that is because if it isn't, she'll sound monotonous, out of tune, or even sound like she's not singing at all~ XD
