Hi guys! First of all love that you are loving reacting to beatboxing, it really is a super fun and interesting art. So just to clarify, I can't remember at what point of the video you talked about this, but you mentioned these Wildcards being recorded at home because of covid, but that is not the case. GBB is basically the biggest beatbox competition in the world and every year beatboxers that wanna enter the competition have to send a wildcard that is later evaluated and ranked by the assigned judges and only the top ones of each category enter the actual competition (think of it like actors auditioning for a movie for example. First they have to send their audition and only then they get chosen or not for the role). As you might imagine, every year there are dozens to hundreds of people sending wildcards, but only the ones that placed the highest on every category get to actually go to the live event and battle. For solo category I believe is top 16, loopstation top 8, tag-team top 4 as you saw in this video (these tag-teams shown in the video were the ones that actually go to participate in the live event), for crew (3 to 5 beatboxer team) top 2 I believe and now we have a new category which the producer category which is basically loopstation but with even more effects available basically. If you wanna watch more beatbox videos without a donation but don't know what to react to, I personally recommend anything for last year's GBB for example. Any battle, any category you are feeling is always a great time. Much love!
Oh and also the laser you guys really liked is actually not as common as you might think. That is one of Rusy's (the beatboxer in the video) special sounds and although obviously he is not the only one that can do it he is definitely know for it and his is really really clean and polished
not exactly. its called a wildcard because the first competitors are invited after winning a competiton eg. king inertia winning the great north battle and hiss winning asia champs, as well as the previous years gbb 1st 2nd and 3rd placers. wildcards are like extra slots

They’re sent in to whichever big competition they’re trying to enter (in this case, GBB - Grand Beatbox Battle).. they’re judged and the winners gain entry into the competition. The competition itself is a big multi-day event on a stage with a crowd. That’s where the ‘battles’ happen. ❤
