This is incredible. I don't even know this person and I'm really proud of them. This is absolutely phenomenal. It's great to see someone be successful at something they work really hard for. I'm happy for this guy. Keep working
Carlos is a 7ft high jumper he received it at the junior olympics. He is currently enrolled at the University of Nebraska and his highest so far in college is 7ft
Wow your form is really, really good. I'm a middle school high jumper, 5'6 is my height and I just PR'd at 5ft. I'm getting there, form is shaky but I really like the sport. Any tips for someone who isn't going to get much taller in high school? I'm supposed to max out growing at like 5'9 or 5'10
You're a beast man. Seriously, I did finally did high jump this past year and used this video to emulate your technique. Highest I got was 6'2 - I have a 40 in vert off of two feet, but only about a 32 in vert off of one foot. Do you know your one foot vert? I just want to know for comparison so I know if I should keep trying in college to walk on or just not do it.
yo any tips? i only started about a month ago i only clear 5'10. any tips for workouts to get vertical up? tryin to just clear 6'6 and go to nationals.
hey and Carlos if you keep going you are going to have to work really hard if you want to be with all of the better high jumpers right now because it is the golden age, there is multiple people who have broken the 8'0" barrier, and mutaz essa barshim is probably going to set a new world record soon
he was the best high school jumper in the nation that year…look it up on any track website that gives out the nations high school best by year…work on your meter conversions as well haha
Dear America, learn metric. You are the only country on the planet which still measures this event in feet and inches. Excellent jump by the way. Congratulations.
Unfortunately we still measure people's height in feet and inches, so it's easier for the average American to get an idea of how high 2.23 meters is when it is expressed feet and inches. But I agree with you. Had the US gone with the recommendations to go metric by President Carter in 1977 we would have long since been fully integrated in to a much more efficient and universal system of measurement.
I'm 12 and this is my first year of track. I'm in 6th grade and I get 4"4 for high jump and my best long jump is 12"10. Idk if this is good I've only been to 2 meets so.... Comments and techniques are appreciated!
hey bro I'm not as good as this guy is but I'm pretty darn good, I can give you some tips and stuff, do you have an Instagram or something of the sort?
I spent hours training and studying technique every day, I went from 5th grade only jumping 3'8" to 6th grade jumping 4'8" to 7th grade jumping 5'0" to 8th grade this year jumping 5'9 I jumped that today. so if you want some good help I will be glad to help you out man

Jay iLL Im in 6th grade and I am currently improving a lot. At the start of the season, I could only jump 3'10" but now, (still 6th grade) I ammsuper super super super close to getting 4'10". I probably could have gotten it at my last practice but my back started hurting so my coach told me to stop.
Outstanding jump! It's amazing to me at how nonchalant everyone is after this amazing performance. Very obvious folks don't realize the import of this jump.
