Yeah, it was nicely done by him. Kept it close because of this video so the content would be better. Don't follow table tennis and have played it like 5 times ever but I watch all Adam's videos. My passion is football so this was super nice to watch.

his first touch is bad compared to pros but he actually has really good football skills. I couldn't even juggle the ball the way he did

Marco, the unlucky guy of the decade! When the DFB national team was preparing for the World Cup in Brazil in 2014, Marco was one of the very few who was "safe" for the team - he was seriously injured in the last preparatory game before leaving for Brazil and the World Cup was over for him - well, the rest became football history!

Had no idea Reus was left handed while being right foot dominant. Same as me actually. Although, ironically, while I play table tennis with my dominant left hand, I actually play tennis right handed 😅

I'm a fellow lefty that's right-foot dominant, but I play most all hand sports left handed. Good to know there's more of us out there.

PD: Marco era parte de la plantilla que iba a jugar el mundial de fútbol 2014 pero se lesionó y no pudo jugar el mundial. Alemania terminó ganando ese mundial y Marco, solo por obra del destino no fue campeón mundial. Fue fundamental en la clasificación a ese mundial y era titular. Sonó también tendría ese título.

The Germans probably grew up playing with standard table tennis equipment. Not like Nigeria here where many start on benches and use slates or planks of wood to hit the ball 😅
Every german elementary school and most high schools, as well as probably 30% of public parks have some sort of concrete outdoor table tennis table. A very common recess activity is the "round run" with 4-10 kids playing on one table running around in a line to be up on the other side and making it a bit of a musical chairs elimination.
If you are challenging random people - be careful if they are asian or german - they most likely have all the spin stuff in their muscle memory
I wonder if marco not falling for the snake has anything to do with his understanding of ball spin as a great football player
