Damn, Reus read all of your snakes well (eg 5:39) and countered them. Great for an amateur! The Germans probably grew up playing with standard table tennis equipment. Not like Nigeria here where many start on benches and use slates or planks of wood to hit the ball 😅
Every german elementary school and most high schools, as well as probably 30% of public parks have some sort of concrete outdoor table tennis table. A very common recess activity is the "round run" with 4-10 kids playing on one table running around in a line to be up on the other side and making it a bit of a musical chairs elimination. If you are challenging random people - be careful if they are asian or german - they most likely have all the spin stuff in their muscle memory

What Adam did at 6:04 is something I do well when playing street table tennis 😂 Based on the position of the receiver, their racket position just before you serve (backhand or forehand), you can determine what serve will take them off-balance 😂 Then you walk away like a boss after winning the point or scream the ‘future’ score immediately you begin the serve
No actually what he did was average side spin serve, which he held back throught the game cuz if you don't play often against spin serves, you dont know how to recieve them, therefore it is an easy advantage against new players. If he would have done that throught the game, it would have been too easy.

Taking the lobs off the bounce is a great move. Most pros allow the ball to bounce much higher, but it’s exhausting to slam over and over. Hit it early and gain pave and the element of surprise
