How much is the Mahindra XUV700's price?
The Mahindra XUV700 is priced between Rs 13.99 lakh and Rs 24.99 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). Since July, Mahindra has reduced the prices by up to Rs 2.20 lakh but only for the top-spec AX7 variants and for a limited time.
How many variants are there in the Mahindra XUV700?
The XUV700 is available in two broad trims: MX and AX. The AX trim further branches out into four sub-variants: AX3, AX5, AX5 Select, and AX7. The AX7 also gets a Luxury Pack, which adds some additional features.
Which is the most value-for-money variant?
The MX variant is a good choice for those on a budget as it comes with a good list of features for a base variant. The AX5 is the most value-for-money variant and is the one we’d recommend if you’re okay with missing out on some key safety and comfort features like ADAS, side airbags, tyre pressure monitoring system, and dual-zone climate control.
What features does the Mahindra XUV700 get?
The Mahindra XUV700 comes with an impressive range of features such as LED headlamps with C-shaped LED DRLs, LED fog lamps with cornering lights, flush-fitting door handles that pop out when you unlock the door, 18-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, and a large panoramic sunroof.
Inside, the XUV700 features a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster. The driver gets a 6-way powered seat, while auto headlamps and wipers add convenience. Other comfort features include dual-zone climate control, ventilated front seats, and a wireless charger. The audio system, featuring up to 12 speakers, provides excellent sound quality and there’s also built-in Alexa connectivity. The XUV700 also includes 70 connected car features, such as real-time vehicle tracking, remote lock/unlock, and remote AC control.
How spacious is it?
The XUV700 is available in 5-, 6-, and 7-seater layouts. The seats are plush and supportive, with manually adjustable lumbar support. The second row now comes with the option of captain seats. Adults can be accommodated in the third row, though not for excessively long journeys.
What engine and transmission options are available?
The XUV700 offers two engine options:
A 2-litre turbo-petrol engine (200 PS/380 Nm).
A 2.2-litre diesel engine (up to 185 PS/450 Nm).
Both engines are available with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission. The top-spec AX7 and AX7 L trims also offer an optional all-wheel-drive (AWD) system with the diesel automatic powertrain.
What’s the mileage of the Mahindra XUV700?
The fuel efficiency varies by engine and transmission: - The petrol and diesel manual variants offer a mileage of 17 kmpl. - The petrol automatic variant returns the lowest claimed mileage of 13 kmpl. - The diesel automatic variant has a mileage of 16.57 kmpl.
However, real-world mileage will likely be lower and vary based on your driving style and road conditions.
How safe is the Mahindra XUV700?
The XUV700 includes up to seven airbags, an electronic stability program (ESP), ISOFIX child seat anchors, a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), and a 360-degree camera. The top-end variants are equipped with advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) like autonomous emergency braking, lane-keeping assist, forward collision warning, and adaptive cruise control. Also, the XUV700 has scored a five-star safety rating for adult occupants and four stars for child occupants in the Global NCAP crash tests.
How many colour options are there?
The XUV700 comes in seven colours for the MX variants: Everest White, Dazzling Silver, Red Rage, Deep Forest, Burnt Sienna, Midnight Black, and Napoli Black. The AX variants are available in all these colours and an extra Electric Blue shade. In the AX variants, all colours except Napoli Black, Deep Forest, and Burnt Sienna can be had with an optional dual-tone Napoli Black roof.
What are my alternatives?
The 5-seater variant of the Mahindra XUV700 competes with the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Skoda Kushaq, VW Taigun, Tata Harrier, MG Astor, and MG Hector. Meanwhile, the 7-seater variant goes up against the Tata Safari, MG Hector Plus, and Hyundai Alcazar.
