my grandson wanted to use it under a plate in the microwave - is this safe?? the rope i use is a cotton but has something inside that is shiny like a rayon or nylon. Please advise. Thank you for sharing.
Wow! You have such a creative brain. I want you to know that I feel normal now, having a large fabric, thread, and sewing machine collection! And yes. I have a Babylock felting and a Onmi Stitch machine. With the Omni Stitch you can FMQ, couch, an sew on sequence. Do you have one? If so, I would love to see what you do with yours. There's one on eBay.
I would give my eye teeth to be able to choose lovely colours to mix and match, being 100% colour blind sucks 24/7, but hey ho :(, love all that you do :)

Are all the threads 12 wt or only the sulky. What weight is serger thread? Is it cotton? Is variegated cotton? What are the weights of the thread.?
