    "What you eat" is more important than "How much you eat." Firstly, cut or minimize sugarly, processed, and junk food/drink out of your diet. Then, eat the amount that you need or want to eat. Do not stuff yourself until you feel uncomfortable or want to throw up. Then you could also care about "When you eat." Such as skipping breakfast or dinner, or eating numerous smaller meals throughout the day.

    So since listening to these guys. I’ve slowly ramped up my calories to 150-200 a week or so. Upped my protein to almost 1g to body weight. Slowly adding carbs while lowering a little fat. My weight has been around the same and my lifts been better

    What really helped me was trying to keep my weight and body fat relatively the same, gaining weight very slowly, while focusing on getting stronger and progressing my training, great advice for everyone 👍.

    How do I get to ask you guys a question I listen to you every night and I feel like my situation is slightly different to all the videos I’m taking as much as I can in, and I’m very consistent but struggling to see the results I want, I feel like we need a video on the different body’s types but I seem to be a mixture of the worst lol, I can get skinny and I can get fat, but I can’t seem to build muscle, I have done a hormones test and I’m at 11nmol which is pretty low for a 28year old male. So I have started my own trt as the nhs (uk health service) isn’t very compassionate about my situation and trt clinics are 300 pounds a month when I can do it myself for 30 a month. Anyway just wondering how I get to speak to one of you guys for some advice 🤔
    Thanks guys content is great like I said I listen daily and love it (abit obsessed tbh) 😂

    Should you increase surplus while bulking ? Since you gain weight while bulking your maintence goes up, so shouldnt the amount of calories also be increased ?

      Sure. If your weight goes up a pound from one week to the next then adjust accordingly. Otherwise you’ll stop progressing

    I looked at those things that calculate metabolism,one came in at around 2100, my smart watch says 2500 and that's with being completely sedentary, when I used to do muay thai and I was training often, my smart watch would hit up to 5000 calories. I don't know how accurate they are though.

    I have a fit track pro scale. It’s measures bone mass, fat, muscle ,water weight and several other measurements. It claims to be within 3% of accuracy. How close do y’all think these are? Thanks

    Does yogurt and cottage cheeses count as processed? I swear those things aid so much in my protein lol also I eat sandwiches but with like lean turkey and wheat bread. Are those processed as well?

    • @dustin6528
      @dustin6528 3 года назад +2

      I’d say no. I mean, they’re processed but most everything is to some degree. Just think 5 ingredients or less.

    I just don't understand how so many people are having difficulty reaching their protein intake. Everyday I can easily hit 200 g or more

    • @28goldenboy
      @28goldenboy 2 года назад

      Financial issues probably but most importantly you get too full from eating protein rich foods, excluding protein powder.
      I'm 6'00 210 lb right now and I struggle with hitting 180g.

    • @silverpunk2427
      @silverpunk2427 2 года назад

      @@28goldenboy i do incorporate a lot of protein powder in my eating. The rest coming from meat, yogurt and egg whites.

    • @28goldenboy
      @28goldenboy 2 года назад +1

      @@silverpunk2427 Personally, I wouldn't do more than two scoops a day of powder. Also, keep in mind that different protein foods have a variety of nutrient content and there's pros and cons to all.. balance is key but most importantly being healthy should be priority.

    I want to try the bulk break but i have a question I hope anyone can answer. While taking the bulk break, should I also pull back on my strength training routine for those 3-4 days?

    • @codygooden3638
      @codygooden3638 3 года назад +1

      No, keep the lifts the same. You may have to drop the weight slightly but still shoot for the same sets and reps. Depending on how hard you life it may be beneficial to cut back a day for additional recovery, due to the lack of nutrients/calories.

    Is your workout program advertised for people who are already in shape and want to get more advanced or would it be appropriate for out of shape people who need to take it kinda easy?

      We have programs for ALL people. Beginners, Intermediate, and Advanced Lifters. Our programs are designed to demonstrate and teach you how to use the program for what's best for you. We have a MAPS Starter program that is for the complete beginner, but there are also other programs a beginner would also get value from. Check them out here!

    I'm gonna sound a bit sardonic here, but you guys should really know how much protein is in eggs when discussing this topic. People are going to hear you barely get 30g of protein from 6 eggs and start questioning a lot of your message.
    For a discussion like this, it would really pay to summarize everything at the end. Makes the message more "digestible."
