I did some comparisons of this to the Samples from Mars LinnDrum samples since I picked it up beforehand. I was able to get them sounding pretty similar. The samples are most likely different found in IconDrums, and maybe the decay algo is slightly different, but you can get pretty close with high quality samples and a Simpler in Ableton. It's still cool to have this as an option available, but for me I think working with high quality samples and adding my own effects will be enough for now.
Also, I dug through the files a bit, and there's no way to access the samples directly and appears to be locked behind the plugin. So can't do a pure one to one comparison. I discovered how the presets work and are read though

GForce makes incredible software, and I’m a big fan of Imposcar! Their Icon Drum plugin is a standout-it emulates the legendary LinnDrum, one of the most iconic drum machines of the '80s. The samples sound amazingly authentic, and the interface perfectly replicates the original LinnDrum, making it super intuitive and a massive time-saver. The workflow truly captures the classic LinnDrum feel. And the best part? It’s currently on offer for just $25-a fantastic deal! Definitely a 5-star product in my book!

Good demo. Don’t get plugins like though. Just use a sampler like tal sampler. It’s the same thing.

there are reasons why these are used: When you have a lot of different plugins, using each one feels like an adventure and unique. They are like different instruments. It leads to inspirations and new results. In the same way, the new UI and Workflow break away from old formulas and always lead to a different perspective sonically. to something you might not have ended up with the old way.

Not exactly. Samples don’t tune the same as a VST. And the Linn is famous it’s unique sound when the sounds are tuned differently.

This uses high quality samples built in. Much simpler to use and accurate to the original hardware.

It's not "the same thing," dude. The GForce plugin has dedicated knobs for each sound plus accurate fx and just the overall sound and vibe of the original unit. TAL Sampler is an excellent plugin and it's a good suggestion for electronic musicians wanting a vintage style sampler. However, dropping Linndrum samples into TAL Sampler isn't equivalent to using GForce's IconDrum.
