AcidGlow Please do one on the the Mutated Archaea Attoia (god I hope I am spelling that right) from the movie DEEP RISING. That thing scared the shit out of me. I saw a lady get pulled down a toilet. And every time I had to sit I squatted. And prayed to god that thing wouldn't come up the pipes.
I think you're mixing another horror movie with the tremors. Goonies? I forget the name but it had the little thing that came up and killed you while taking shit.
On the planet Blenjeel there were Sand Burrowers that were massive underground worms that couldn't pass through rock and hunted by sound. They were seen in Star Wars: Jedi Knight Jedi Academy
its been a few years but i dont remember those critters in that game, i do however remember acting like an energy vampire every chance i got, go to drain a badguy and say "your soul is mine!" and "call me 'insert vampire name here', bitch"
AcidGlow I'm more afraid of dolphins(killer whales) because if they ever bite a human and like the taste, that entire pod and all generations of offspring will hunt humans. Other than that I'm more afraid of moray eels, night octopus. The eel 6ft long tried to attack me when I was 16ft from its cave and a night octopus attacked me and chased me until I got out of the water. Luckily i had it wrap my face like the alien face hugger to bite my mask. Those are very aggressive shits that come out evening to hunt all night and are completely red. I guess you can say only two sharks I'm afraid of and only one I encountered while spear fishing. That's the tiger shark because they'll eat anything when hungry but before they strike they circle you a few times then bite. I bumped into a 14ft female in 30ft of water and she came around again really close then swam off. If she circled I would have either used my bangstick or shark repellent. The other shark is the bullshark. You're not safe in any place they're located at. Good-thing before you get eaten alive from the bullshark is it's going to literally swim into you to bump you then come back and bite. I guess they bump you to see what you do or how you react. Other than that great whites and other sharks I have encountered don't bother me or scare me.
Tremors 1 was the best, followed closely by Tremors 2. The second one was really fun, but it was missing something. Tremors 3 was bad. It felt empty and uncharismatic. Tremors 4 was...just awful. Tremors 5 was better than 3 and 4, but its attempt at humor was a big miss, and I didn't care much for the "new" designs of the creatures.
Tremors 2 was missing a budget... :P Ok, but seriously, aside from not having Kevin Bacon, you lose the mystery with the sequels, you already know what to expect (kinda). Having a life cycle of sorts takes away the mystery of the creatures.
It's hard to say which one is my favorite. I like the first one because everyone is in a horror situation where there is no cellphones and they had to think when and where to use the limited ammunition. The second was funny because they were more ready to fight graboids but somehow they screw up and the 3rd movie felt like it was repeat thing like the 2nd movie. Plus four was a repeat of the first one but in a old Western movie feel.
First one was my favorite because it was actually terrifying for me as kid. After seeing the movie I was totally afraid to go into my basement or step on non concrete ground. I do like how Burt remained as the one constant character/actor throughout the entire series.
"This is the only know graboid to have survived an encounter with Burt Gummer." For the happy feels I just got from the memories of bad assery from Burt Gummer. You sir get a sub :)
I hear that they plan to make a 6th movie and that Kevin Bacon plans to make a mini series ignoring the sequels and being 10 episodes long. Also my ranking of the Tremors series 6) Tremors 5Bloodline 5) Tremors the Series 4) Tremors 3 Back to Perfection 3) Tremors 2 Aftershocks 2) Tremors 4 The legend begins 1) Tremors
I lived in El Paso, TX. when Tremors was released to theaters. In the similar desert environment, there wasn't many places I could go with my friends without thinking a Graboid was underfoot.
My personal theory, not based on anything tangible, is that the few graboids we have seen are just the beginning of the great awakening. That it was the graboids that killed it dinosaurs, and that there are many, many different breeds and varieties adapted to every environment on the planet. There are aquatic graboids, light non-subterranean version adapted for life in jungles, and versions we haven't even thought of. If the franchise continues, they should show a world where graboid hunting is quickly becoming the dominant industry on the planet.
The practical effects for the first movie are better than any CGI I've seen since. I showed my friend a clip from the first movie and the first thing they said was, "Are those real!?"
the first was definitely the best. And I think it was because of the cast and the fact that there was no CGI. The chemistry between Earl and Val was incredible.
The first was the best: Wrong rec room, eating Victor Wong, stalling the truck... etc. The shriekers and blasters were each neat on their own, but having both is too much.
first one was the best because you had this feeling of fighting of the unknown and that was terrifying. the other movies seems to push all this lore thru even though they didnt make sense over time like how graboids were ancient creatures yet nobody knows how they just popped out of nowhere but they try to change this by putting a military base that spawned el blanco who was the one that escaped. the issue is the life cycle of the graboids meant all three variants would have been in the first movie not a couple years in the story line.
When a Graboid goes into to the Shrieker phase it produces several Shriekers ( Tremors 2). I believe the fact their "born" in litters explains their pack hunting and communal nature. Also how the Graboid species sustains it self and support the pseudo-darwinian evolution that produced the differences in the American and African variations. Great summary though of the chronological records keep it up.
1st movie is my fave, but I do like how they evolved the creature in each new movie, as well as the African Graboid being my favorite of the spieces in terms of design, abilites, and complexity
You even get Tremor like creatures in Mass Effect (Thresher Maws) and Star Wars (They're in a mission from Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy.) Common concept in numerous stories, scary too.
And now, after spending most of my life not knowing, I now know what a Shrieker is after having seen a part of the movie they where in when I was a little baby-child.
I always liked to think each individual Graboid tentacle was acting on its own due to each one belonging to a different Shrieker within the Graboid, gestating.
You did a great job on this iconic silver screen monster! Some extra lore: The ass blaster in both regions are the only form to produce graboid eggs of their species. The propulsion used for hunting and also to disperse their clutch farther than either earlier stage could reach with their mobility limitations. This is one explanation for how graboids got into the Perfection valley in the first place, though when dealing with dormant pre-cambrian species it is possible tectonic shifts over the ages changed the topography from open and favorable into the isolated rock-bordered valley of present day. The Tremors franchise is a favorite with me, fills a similar niche to The Evil Dead and Feast in its campiness and fun. There isn't a canon connection to the Cthulhu mythos for those theorizing, but one excerpt is applicable: "That is not dead which can eternal lie. And with strange aeons even death may die" which can be stretched to mean the dormant species' survival of multiple mass extinction events. One helluva stretch, though the mythos deals in exceptions to extinction as well.
The graboids are one of my favorite monsters! Such a unique design, they can be savage or cunning, have a variety of different life cycles. They're just so damn cool!
one of my all time favorite movie franchises from childhood! the whole cast was perfect. The move was a comedic adventure that we sadly don't get anymore. And of course the first is the best.
I ADORE the tremors movies! Also in the 5th movie when it farted out of the ground and ate that guy I was like: I can’t believe it just ate that guy WHOLE!!
I would have to say the second one. There were two scenes that put it over the top for me: 1. Where Bert slaughter a ton of creatures and used up nearly all of his ammunition. 2. The scene where Bert uses a 50 cal to kill a creature and wrecks the car at the same time.
"...after I was done with dual wielding pistols, I followed up with hand to hand martial arts tactics and retreated to the back of the truck.." paraphrasing but that line almost gets me.
The 1 in Canada had several problems... beginning in Perfection. No town, just Changs, where Burt was living. Then these also followed the African style with no Shriekers. Changed body with very different tongues. Wish they followed formula better, but I did love the movie dispite the issue
You know, there's a kaiju from the Godzilla films that is also said to be from the Precambrian era, like the Graboids. He's called Destroyah, a crustacean like creature. And now I wonder, if these two lived in the same era, how would these two species coexist?
The first movie was the best, but Tremors 5 is pretty damn good, too. I think the production crew put a lot of effort into the script and they got actors who were not just showing up for the paycheck. I mean, they definitely had a bigger budget than the other sequels. Tremors 5 also sets up for some new adventures if they decide to make a new sci-fi series.
The evolution of the graboids have always made sense to me even as a child. Bolters-small and extremely fast to make up for their fragile state. Graboid- massive apex subterranean predator. Shriekers- pack mentality also to vastly increase their numbers in a short amount of time. Assblasters- taking to the sky to carry the graboid eggs as far and wide as possible to begin the cycle anew. As for my favorite movie. I would have to say the first one. While I did enjoy the second movie after that they kinda just became meh to me.
Great vid Acidglow! I agree the first tremors movie was probably the best, it was just a load of awesome. I did like the other for two sequels but the prequel and the latest ones were kinda meh, but it was still great to see Burt again. Did you get to see the tv show?
I think the second one would have been equal to the first in my book solely if Burt's wife was still around. They were a perfect team and I'm sad they had to write her out. Burt is still amazing on his own, but the first movie is probably my favorite
I always loved these movies... Well 1-3 at least. 4 and the series were a bit iffy, and I probably wouldn't have watched them at all if it wasn't for Michael Gross. I love that dude.
The first one hands down, when I was a kid I couldn't get enough of that movie. The suspense was all in the mystery; what were they, disbelief in their existence, were did they come from, not being able to see them coming, difficulty in protecting ones self, etc. the imagination can do more than what is presented on screen, cinematic magic not seen anymore
Bert Gummer is my spirit animal... That said this entire series is worth watching as long as you don't care about details from time to time or are willing to let things that should be obvious slide. The first two movies IMO are the best, but all are worth at least a single watch. Glad to see the graboids and particularly El Blanco show up on youtube without someone bashing them. Good stuff.
I love these movies to this day, no matter how bad they get. can't wait for six and the TV show with Kevin Bacon. Burt s gun wall, there's no such thing as being too prepared
Does Xenomorph acid blood burn Graboids? Would be cool if they were neutral to it, would be funny to see them borrow into the hive over and over again. like stomping on an ant nest.
Possibly my favourite franchise next to the Alien franchise... love these films, Agree the Acidglow the 1st was the best. However they all have there moments of quality. They are just good films and ment to be a bit of fun!!!
I grew up watching the first Tremors movie, and continues to be one of my favorites of all time to this day. But, the 5th one, Bloodlines, is a close second. I love the idea of different Graboids around the globe with different evolutionary features.
Lord Hollow what? lol. I mean if you saw Jaws and said im not going to the ocean I'd be like ok that makes sense, but you know these aren't real right?
Season 2 for Tremors The Series was going to have El Blonco get infected with the Mix Master substance which would give him the ability to reproduce like the Shriekers
I was a huge fan of the movies and the series. Burt for many years was a poster boy for many in the "prepper" groups as his over the top style was the way many others viewed the movement. They did get more and more tongue in cheek as time went on, but I still like 'em.
*Wanted to cover this creature for a while. Did you like these movies?* ✅🙂

AcidGlow Can you do the thing
Possibly. I like going through the ones I remember and enjoyed the most from my childhood. I'll get around to other characters / monsters aswell. =)
I love the first two movies. I always hated the Ass Blaster idea. The one in Africa isn't too bad.
AcidGlow I only liked the first one the others were really not my favorite.
This shit used to scare the shit out of me when i was a kid, i was scared of going to the restroom and a graboid coming up and eating my ass
lol wtf..
I still check the toilet for snakes every time I go to shit.
Azurealms99 gotta eat that booty like groceries
I think you're mixing another horror movie with the tremors. Goonies? I forget the name but it had the little thing that came up and killed you while taking shit.
Deep Rising has a scene like that.
Well, one more reason Anakin didn't like sand. Who knows what else is lurking in it!
Alexane Rose sandworm from beetlejuice lol
Or the Shai-Hulud from Dune.
On the planet Blenjeel there were Sand Burrowers that were massive underground worms that couldn't pass through rock and hunted by sound. They were seen in Star Wars: Jedi Knight Jedi Academy
Daniel Spartan I remember playing that part of Star Wars Jedi Academy. It was the most greatest and my most favorite part.
its been a few years but i dont remember those critters in that game, i do however remember acting like an energy vampire every chance i got, go to drain a badguy and say "your soul is mine!" and "call me 'insert vampire name here', bitch"
Omg I remember watching these and saying "I'm never going to the desert" 😂😂 xD
I'd rather be in the desert then stranded in the ocean! =o
AcidGlow THATS VERY TRUE LOL!
dude these things freak me out more than any ocean creature
im more afraid of sharks. i wont go in the deep end. i like having limbs,
AcidGlow I'm more afraid of dolphins(killer whales) because if they ever bite a human and like the taste, that entire pod and all generations of offspring will hunt humans. Other than that I'm more afraid of moray eels, night octopus. The eel 6ft long tried to attack me when I was 16ft from its cave and a night octopus attacked me and chased me until I got out of the water. Tremors #1 = classic!
Jason Krueger hmmm sounds like someone I know
Tremors 2 was missing a budget... :P
Ok, but seriously, aside from not having Kevin Bacon, you lose the mystery with the sequels, you already know what to expect (kinda). Having a life cycle of sorts takes away the mystery of the creatures.
You Assblasters
Jason Krueger what about tremors the tv series 🤔
They should have kept Kevin Bacon
I remember watching these all the time when i was younger
good on you being able to say assblaster without laughing
lol
bennettjames100 I was like 😨😨😨😂😂😂😂😂😂😊😂
I know right. I read this before I heard it and laughed lol
The Best Tremors Movies used actual puppetry, the worst used CGI
All 4 of the original Tremors movies used puppetry. Not sure about 5 and 6.
Cool to see the channel expanding to new topics and franchises in sci-fi!
This movie used to scare the carp out of me. At the time, I lived in an upstairs apartment and I was always to afraid to go down.
I absolutely love this saga! The first and in my opinion the second are definitely the best movies out of all of them. Awesome video!
Ah man i remember these movies i still try to watch them if they appear on tv. First movie was the best though
So glad to see this! I love those movies so much!
I hear that they plan to make a 6th movie and that Kevin Bacon plans to make a mini series ignoring the sequels and being 10 episodes long.
Also my ranking of the Tremors series
6) Tremors 5Bloodline
5) Tremors the Series
4) Tremors 3 Back to Perfection
3) Tremors 2 Aftershocks
2) Tremors 4 The legend begins
1) Tremors
wait a second......there are more then two movies?when they made them?
world-concepts-are-breaking god-is-dying bitch you blind
world-concepts-are-breaking god-is-dying most went straight to video/ syfy channel.
I like the descending order, fitting for something that started with a subterranean monster.
world-concepts-are-breaking god-is-dying look them up.
I've seen them all and they didn't scare me as a kid, they actually made me and my cousin laugh like hell.
After seeing this, anyone else remember watching Obscurous Lupa review the whole Tremors movies and series. Good times...good times.
"My childhood movie~"
I lived in El Paso, TX. when Tremors was released to theaters. In the similar desert environment, there wasn't many places I could go with my friends without thinking a Graboid was underfoot.
"Ain't no Graboid, it's something MORE dangerous."
-Earl on hearing Burt's deuce and half approach
My personal theory, not based on anything tangible, is that the few graboids we have seen are just the beginning of the great awakening. That it was the graboids that killed it dinosaurs, and that there are many, many different breeds and varieties adapted to every environment on the planet. Tremors is one of my favourite movies, and I actually genuinely enjoy the straight-to-dvd sequels
The practical effects for the first movie are better than any CGI I've seen since. I showed my friend a clip from the first movie and the first thing they said was, "Are those real!?"
Tremors - 8/10
Tremors 2 - 7.5/10
Tremors 3 - 4/10
Tremors 4 - 7/10
Tremors 5 - 3.5/10
Tremors TV series - 6.5/10
Venom NBK I would say the second movie was great as the first or better but for the fifth movie it's definitely better than the third & forth .
I knew there was a TV series, I didn't know there was a fifth movie.
Venom NBK there's a tv series
only lasted 1 season
I can dig your ratings. Pretty much how I feel except I'd rate 3 even lower than 5.
the first was definitely the best. And I think it was because of the cast and the fact that there was no CGI. The chemistry between Earl and Val was incredible.
The first was the best: Wrong rec room, eating Victor Wong, stalling the truck... etc.
The shriekers and blasters were each neat on their own, but having both is too much.
"...The only Graboid to survive and encounter with Burt Gummer." 😂
first one was the best because you had this feeling of fighting of the unknown and that was terrifying. the other movies seems to push all this lore thru even though they didnt make sense over time like how graboids were ancient creatures yet nobody knows how they just popped out of nowhere but they try to change this by putting a military base that spawned el blanco who was the one that escaped. the issue is the life cycle of the graboids meant all three variants would have been in the first movie not a couple years in the story line.

Just found this channel recently and it's QUICKLY becoming one of my favorite RUclips channels... This and "FilmComicBooksExplained" are great...
1st movie is my fave, but I do like how they evolved the creature in each new movie, as well as the African Graboid being my favorite of the spieces in terms of design, abilites, and complexity
I love these movies. The fifth one was different, but it just adds more to the Graboids. I'm looking forward for the next movie.
'I was born to hold out' - Bert Gummer
You even get Tremor like creatures in Mass Effect (Thresher Maws) and Star Wars (They're in a mission from Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy.)
Common concept in numerous stories, scary too.
The first one was the best hands down, it scare the shit out of me I didnt want to step on dirt after watching it haha
Tremors is truly a classic horror/thriller movie
Own all five tremors movies and the third one is absolutely great my favorite one in the series
out of all the monster life cycles , Tremors have the most realistic one
The graboids are one of my favorite monsters! Such a unique design, they can be savage or cunning, have a variety of different life cycles. They're just so damn cool!
one of my all time favorite movie franchises from childhood! the whole cast was perfect. The move was a comedic adventure that we sadly don't get anymore. And of course the first is the best.
I love every Tremor story and enjoy Burt best.
I ADORE the tremors movies! Also in the 5th movie when it farted out of the ground and ate that guy I was like: I can’t believe it just ate that guy WHOLE!!
All the TREMERS movies are my favorite.
Same, I love that franchise, all of the movies are good, XD. They kinda have their own style.
I would have to say the second one. There were two scenes that put it over the top for me: 1. Where Bert slaughter a ton of creatures and used up nearly all of his ammunition. 2. The scene where Bert uses a 50 cal to kill a creature and wrecks the car at the same time.
youngthinker1 actually the 50 cal one is not so far fetched the the rifle was ment to go though tank armor
I saw the second one first and I still love it the best. after seeing all the others
"...after I was done with dual wielding pistols, I followed up with hand to hand martial arts tactics and retreated to the back of the truck.." paraphrasing but that line almost gets me.
That 50 cal scene was awesome.
youngthinker1 Ditto. Tremors 2 is my personal favorite.
I've enjoyed all the movies but yes, you can't beat the first one.
I used to be afraid of walking on the ground after watching those films when I was a kid.
My fav is Tremors 2, mostly due to the Shriekers, my least fav used to be the 3rd before Tremors 5 came out.
To be honest my favorite had to be the second one thanks to the shriekers and Good acting
There's nothing wrong with being prepared. -Burt
we used to watch the entire series every Friday we would have pizza and watch tremors. probably my favorite series XD
I am completely out of ammo.
SanelyRed i feel i was denied critical need to know information
Niclous Cone dammit melvin!
IS YOUR HEAD UP YOUR ASS FOR THE WARMTH - Bert gummer
That’s never happened to me before.
I feel like I was denied some essential. Need to know. Information😂😂
Great vid Acidglow! I agree the first tremors movie was probably the best, it was just a load of awesome. I did like the other for two sequels but the prequel and the latest ones were kinda meh, but it was still great to see Burt again. Did you get to see the tv show?
1 and 2 will always be the best 2 films because they both have lots of action and reviel new threats to humans more than the rest of them do
i love the first and second movies. the 3rd was ok but i havent seen the others . need to watch them love the franchise.
I would say number 1 or 2 was my favourite of the anthology
I think the second one would have been equal to the first in my book solely if Burt's wife was still around. They were a perfect team and I'm sad they had to write her out. Burt is still amazing on his own, but the first movie is probably my favorite
I always loved these movies... Well 1-3 at least. 4 and the series were a bit iffy, and I probably wouldn't have watched them at all if it wasn't for Michael Gross. I love that dude.
Grew up with tremors being my favorite movie haven't seen it in years and I think I've only seen the first two and a old west one haha
Can't wait for the new Tremors movie next year, also my favorite is 1 and 2.
TBH this is my favorite movie of all time it resonated with me since I was a young kid and became the first DVD I bought
Tremors: friggin awesome
Tremors 2: FRIGGIN AWESOME
Tremors 3: eh... they fly?
Tremors 4: simpler but desperately missing burt
Tremors 5: mildly awesome
The first one hands down, when I was a kid I couldn't get enough of that movie. The suspense was all in the mystery; what were they, disbelief in their existence, were did they come from, not being able to see them coming, difficulty in protecting ones self, etc. the imagination can do more than what is presented on screen, cinematic magic not seen anymore
The directors really put in a lot of thought in the new tremors movie.
It was dated being a Precambrian time period which makes it the oldest multicellular creature to date
I love all the Tremors movies while they may not be Box Office Hits but there still super entertaining and watchable
I agree....the first was the best, by far
Holy hell, if a facehugger got this thing, just imagine what the Xenomorph would look like.
stuff like this are so cool keep up the good work man teenage needs you
I always thought they were some species of sandworm. possibly mutated somehow to abnormally large sizes.
Does Xenomorph acid blood burn Graboids? Would be cool if they were neutral to it, would be funny to see them borrow into the hive over and over again. like stomping on an ant nest.
The first time I watched this movie I was 7 and I had to sleep on the floor that night...I had so many nightmares lol
Possibly my favourite franchise next to the Alien franchise... love these films, Agree the Acidglow the 1st was the best. However they all have there moments of quality. They are just good films and ment to be a bit of fun!!!
I like that he kinda explains it like they're real
I grew up watching the first Tremors movie, and continues to be one of my favorites of all time to this day. But, the 5th one, Bloodlines, is a close second. I love the idea of different Graboids around the globe with different evolutionary features.
I hated this thing when I was a kid. These things are absolutely horrifying.
I love this series I was so happy it got a 5th film , actually it's more like I was amazed
they need to make a modern tremors movie that doesnt suck
Yes,one of my favorite movie monsters!!! And I was born and lived in Nevada!!! You've done it acid glow you've done it!!!😁😄😆👍
Tremors in Africa was pretty damn fun. At least the best since the first. I liked the second a lot too. Third was watchable
I am very interested in these creatures!!!
The first one was my favorite one of all six movies
The first one was definitely The best one, but I like the African one as well. But part 2 was good too.
these guys are the reason why I don't go into the desert.
Lord Hollow what? lol. I mean if you saw Jaws and said im not going to the ocean I'd be like ok that makes sense, but you know these aren't real right?
I really liked tremors 2 but back to perfection is my favorite
Props for being able to say "ass blasters" so many times without laughing. That series really got off the rails.
Season 2 for Tremors The Series was going to have El Blonco get infected with the Mix Master substance which would give him the ability to reproduce like the Shriekers
The graboid roar it screamed, as it was dying from the shrieker birth, is one of the most horrific & ominous sounds in film history
I was a huge fan of the movies and the series. Burt for many years was a poster boy for many in the "prepper" groups as his over the top style was the way many others viewed the movement.
They did get more and more tongue in cheek as time went on, but I still like 'em.
