I feel like we should start early with children trying to explain to them what gender means ( and how it works ) so that we can ensure we are able to reform at least the next generation of adults, to more understanding and aware citizens. Furthermore when ppl say that India is not ready for these topics on the news and mainstream media, that is just a tactic to cop out of the discussion. This is a now or never situation and if we don't at least start talking about it reform and change will never happen.
The thought needs to change , the problem is the definition of the world “normal” in this country . we have considered only somethings as normal and so our horizons r limited to those definitions but we have to understand that everything that exists in this world is a law of nature . Darwin gave the theory of survival of the fittest . The ones who are not fit wont survive but if all these peoples exist , survive and have a normal life it means they are as good as normal . Dont try to change the person in them , change the thought in you !!
Nandini Sharma, I agree with you . As we say children are our future or future of nation & we need to teach boys to respect girls, TRUE, so we should start it from early childhood education. Young children need to be brought up in gender neutral environment (home/educational institutions). The adults/educators/pedagogues’ gender understanding also influence children’s gender knowledge development. As a gender studies student and a kindergarten teacher I observe young children performing gender everyday during their play.
MissMalini i think people should understand why u taking education to thing of ur own not the trend which is being followed years and years..... pervious people are no where wrong but life need to take turn when a girl is born from the same place wr boy is born the y gender discrimination....People should think from there own aspect rather then our ancestor said things

Anjali Lama has struggled a lot in her life, initially to fit in as an equal citizen of Nepal and then to establish her career as a model.Her journey is an inspiration, much love and power.
I am from Nepal and I understand it must have been very challenging for Anjali to disclose her gender identity, especially in the rural part of Nepal. She is such a brave lady, and she looks so confident and extremely charming

Same sex mariage and LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender) rights has been approved by the Nepalese Constitution in 2007, I guess. In many of the documents or forms or voting card in Nepal, you will find three categories or boxes for identifying your sex 1. Male 2. Female and 3. LGBT/Third Gender. They carry Nepali passport with "Third Gender" category. Don't you think Nepal is ahead of most of the western countries including America atleast in the case of third gender? He..he..
