    Paul Robbins comments on stem cells made me recall (hopefully correctly) that short bouts of fasting appears to replace old cells with younger cells and in the process transiently increase stem cells in circulation, in which case the pool of exosomes would also be enhanced. Clearly an area to watch. Thanks!

    I absolutely love this format! it's broken up into short chunks that can be paused and mentally digested, and it's all related so I don't have to google that much terminology. Thank you so much.

    So interesting Richard. I’ve noticed this pattern too, that many aging researchers seem to be honing in on exosomes/secretome from youthful stem cells, as the primary ingredient for rejuvenation.

    • @ModernHealthspan
      @ModernHealthspan  5 месяцев назад +2

      Hi thanks for sharing. I have seen more references to using these secretome or exosomes and it also seems to be the closest to the clinic. With respect to the discussion on stem cells: The issue with these is that they trigger the immune system. Dr Keirstead mentioned it in this video, the secretome has no-self where stem cells do. In the original interview with Dr Ross he also talked about it. Foreign stem cells tend to get destroyed by the immune system.

    Hi Richard. I find Dr. Harold's work is the most important.
    Is this interview new?

    • @ModernHealthspan
      @ModernHealthspan  5 месяцев назад +2

      Hi Anthony, thanks for the question. The interview was from Sept 2023 so it is not new. Dr Katcher is no longer with Yuvan Research (the company set up to productize E5) though the company is still moving forward. I believe Dr Katcher is looking for other ways to move forward with E5. I am also following Yuvan but have nothing to report as yet. I certainly hope that E5 can be brought to the clinic by some route, however I see Dr Keirstead's approach as being closer at the moment. Especially given his experience in working with the FDA and that his solution is based on human secretome. I just see getting approval for cross-species interventions will be tougher.

    • @anthonymason385

      This is certainly a most frustrating situation.
      Its my belief that Dr. Katchers was Yuvan, so without his involvement, we are looking at Tesla without Elon or Apple without Steve. I just hope Dr. Katcher is continuing his work.

    Thank you for this video and your effort, you are on the right track. I really appreciate your work. Richard, please I have a question: Harold Katcher said that exosomes that he extracted from the blood come from all cells from all organs because they have different cargo and targets. Does this mean that if we used placental based exosomes or Mesenchymal stem cells exosomes then they would have much less effect as the first option. Is this correct? assuming exactly the same dose.

    In the second portion of the video, the interviewee comes across as too much of a salesman. In particular, his comments on why he won't mess with 144 ingredients of his drug sounds like something from a sales manager, a gold digger. Taken at its face value, the comment is pretty annoying. From a scientific perspective, it makes all the sense in the world to study those 144 actives and study their mechanisms.
