    Replays and camera angles- Thank you . Whoever is in the business of selling any foos videos ,I'm believing that many many more videos will be sold if this kind of replay and camera movement is available on those videos. I'd really like to be able to watch some older matches with replays for sure. Thanks again

    I hadn't played in 30 years and I was a Dynamo player. When I came back to play it was the first time I had ever seen a Snake shot. It is fast and am slowly learning the shot but the snake has really made the game boring. What happened to the pretty Foosball we played in the Seventies and Eighties. It's like most things the game has evolved but I miss the Dynamo's. Tornado tables don't have the same action and takes away the players like me who controls the ball on the toes and heals. No English moving and shooting. Just a two shot table. Pull and snake. Although I am starting to hit combos and winning over the snake shot against most players. Am still very consistent with the Toe Shot because I shoot a lot of different things from that setup and very rarely stop the ball. I move it until it feels good and I see the defense move. No one plays like that anymore and it was exciting to play and watch.

      Jet is really boring to watch. Pinshot is pure entertainment but nobody can play it on the us tables 😁

      @@InYourFaceMoFo I learned and played on Dynamo's in the seventies and eighties. I don't know why America went to the Tornadoes but they did. Can't bank on a Tornado like a Dynamo. We played with a much more fun game to play. The middle eighties I played on my first Tornado and they kept the table so damn slick just to shoot one shot a Pull Shot. I hated it so much. I move and control the ball on toes and heals. When I put pressure on the ball it just slipped out. But since getting back playing I am getting much better on a Tornado. When I hit some combos I was told I am playing prehistoric Foosball. The snake is awesome but you're so correct it is boring to watch.

      When i was transitioning from tornado to green-top tournament soccer tables the debate i defended was how much better built the tornados were. They both had corner ramps but the tornado had a glass surface and a better design for keeping the screws tight on the men. TS balls wore out quicker and the factors of a warped table surface and "hair" on their quickly-worn balls, made controlling the ball more difficult on TS - Not to mention the men were chronically loose from the poor taiwanese design. Tornado's hollow rods made shots faster than TS's solid rods.
      But the money on TS left tornado behind. I brought a small wrench to tournaments to keep the screws tight in matches and soon got used to TS - then started peaking with their better designed brown tops. (Dynamo was very similar) .
      I attended the last worlds for TS held in chicago and got ripped off when TS couldnt honor their advertised prizes and thats why they had to go out of business. I quit around then. Checking in later, i learned to hate tornado because of the lack of corner ramps and a three-man goalie rod, made for an unacceptable amount of slop shots in every match. But mainly because it took away my bank shot from goalie, which i had become proficient at (won goalie wars in portland '80 after losing my first match). Its more the inherent slop shots that make it a bad designed table for the sport though. Players should demand tornado's quality evolve, rather than accept just accept it like sheep.
      Some tournament photos from those days in link. We'd drive to LA from san diego - Jim stevens was the "thin man" - and seen in one of the top photos playing jeep (both LA players)
      www.flickr.com/photos/74615773@N00/albums/72157679613943792
      There are numerous dynamo tourney photos as well as the scene in chicago, where atari partnered with TS to include other brown-topped machines like air hockey, pool tables and others, to have many tourneys at once. Their downfall was advertising a brown-targeted darts tourney, with the target being electronic and requiring players use a plastic dart that would mate with the holes designed into the target. Pro dart players always use their own darts, so they were highly pissed off when they were expected to use the TS darts - not to mention the plastic dart's tip became bent after a few throws into a plastic target. Also, the pool players didnt appreciate the tiny pool tables, so they allied with the darters to confront the TS people. Soon afterwards. around 50-70 chicago cops appeared in single-file and formed a ring around the event stage, for their protection. (the foosers didnt know why till later). The compromise with the darters was they could use their own darts, but the steel tips quickly destroyed the electronic target board - and just as well because it lacked the surface necessary for real darts. TS had to absorb the loss of every dart game machine there

      @@qawwss2000 I have never seen a Tornado with a glass surface or Ramps in the corners. I played on glass top Dynamo tables and that is what I learned on and played on from 73 to around 1990. Then life happened. I saw my first Tornado around 86 and they kept the table so slick just to shoot one shot. A pull. Just wasn't fun for player's that play with Pin Shots and combos. I am getting much better on a Tornado. Been back playing for about 4 months and I have really come along way. I have been playing really good players in Memphis but Memphis is 80 miles from home. My friends in Jackson Jackson TN travel most Thursday Nights. We have a player in Jackson that has a old Tornado with the wood handles which most players like more. That table is not as slick as the tables in Memphis but they are not near as slick as that Tornado I first played on. It has been hard to overcome the conditioning of playing on Dynamo's. I miss the glass top Dynamo tables of the mid seventies which were so much more fun. You mentioned banks. Hard to hit banks on Tornadoes and a friend who is a pure goalie was so good banking on a Dynamo and is getting back playing was very frustrated by a Tornado. I have seen TS but they never made it in the Mid South. You can check out Mid South Foos. They play in Memphis on Monday nights and Thursday nights. Most the time it is live streamed on Facebook. There are a few. Am not able to play most Mondays but I try not to miss Thursday Night's. You won't meet any better people to play with. The players that have not stopped playing over the years have been so helpful in helping my friends and I get back into the game. We have so much fun and I now am getting my five man back. I have had two Rotator Cuff Surgery's and was scared to death to play again. God has answered my prayers and my shoulder will never be right again but it has been holding up and getting stronger. Thank you for your reply to me and it was very informative. The photos although not on a Table I am familiar with they brought back a lot of memories of the past. In a couple of years you can watch me win the National's ha ha. I have my work cut out for sure. I at least will compete praying my shoulder holds up. God bless you and yours.

    Hi Jim, Dost played one of the most awesome games I have seen, Robertson was very poor in attacking and I doubt Dost viewed his match play, Blake was very Lucky, he had a strong partner in Moore and settled thereafter. All in all Robertson and Moore was very lucky that their opposition did not capitalize on their mistakes.

    Ryan Moore is amazing ..Pros use the snake shot almost exclusively and it makes sense since it's a higher percentage shot..still,can't help but wonder whether the odd surprise shot wouldn't open defenses even more

    Complete newbie here. I've noticed that when a player is playing the goalie position, they will often bounce the ball against the back wall and catch it again. Why do they do this?

    Looks like Ryan was playing 3 against 1 lol
    And actually it’s baffling that with all the talent and professionalism that multiple players and legends possess, why in world would America be represented by a player who does not have that talent or professionalism on the table such as Ryan’s partner, respectively. There’s gotta events for players like Ryan’s partner that are more suitable for that style of play .

    Great Match!! the reviews work really perfect! But Ryan ist still too fast some times. But i cant understand what Leonhart is doing. Twan looses so many balls over the weekend. Marc tries to play rolling pinshot at the end but it simply don't work.. It's really a mess that you can't play that on a german table anymore. . .

    • @Klos1neMN
      @Klos1neMN 4 года назад

      @Freddi "Stupid strategy"? It's a higher percentage shot than just making things up as you go. Boring? Maybe. But if you actually want to win than shooting a set shot is always a better strategy.

    Foosball talent is not what it used to be. At the top of my game in the 80's/90's, (and I played with some world ranked single digit pros from the 70's), I could beat these guys, (it may be close), and I was barley average for top skill of that day. All skill is being reduced in everything we do, so be careful who you pick for a Doctor also.

    • @Klos1neMN
      @Klos1neMN 4 года назад +1

      @Freddi The Tornado table is designed better than any European table, only the Guardian and Leonhart comes close. Ryan passed on his 2 bar as strategy to get Blake the ball, not because he can't shoot, he has the best 2 bar out of any Tornado player.

    • @Klos1neMN
      @Klos1neMN 4 года назад

      @Freddi Pia Merbach (top German female player) recently said in an interview that out of all the tables the Tornado was not just her favorite but the favorite of her entire league team's as well. Pretty high praise if a top ranked German player picks a US table over their own. And I've played on a Leonhart, it plays at the same speed as the Tornado does.

    • @Klos1neMN
      @Klos1neMN 4 года назад +1

      @Freddi Hahaha, more important; who cares what YOU say? You're nothing more than a relic, someone who just started talking about something that has long since passed you by which is just funny at best. Pia is a world class player and national champ and you're someone who sits at home, not even being a factor. Anything you argue comes across as desperate and bitter.
