My dad passed away 11 months ago and somehow I came across this song a couple weeks ago and bawl my eyes out especially at the beginning of this song. It’s almost like my dad sent me this song to remind me that he’s okay. This reminds me so much of him, he loved the country, horses, being outdoors, etc. Thank you for this song. It’s healing so much of my heart. R.I.P to my amazing daddy, Chris Rodriguez 05/16/1968 - 11/25/2022❤😢
Ian buddy, I remember when you wrote this song and were playing it at school. You’ll always be the most badass singers I know and I’m always bragging about you to everyone. You really are a hell of a gem!
Fastly becoming one of my favorite Texas Country singers. Beginning of this song gives me John Denver feels and I love it. Reminds me of home. God bless Texas and Country Music
Makes me cry every single time..... my ex and I traveled through Idaho. Montana... and Wyoming... she showed me this song...... and it's one of my favorite songs of all time. Damn..... I miss her...
My bride is walking down the aisle to this song in our wesrtern, mountsin wedding in July 2024. We love the intro and any song by you Ian! Keep up the good work! Cant wait to see you perform again here in Colorado!
This song is incredible. The bluegrass elements make it so soulful and unique. No matter how big and famous you get (which I know you will!) PLEASE don't ever lose that soulful homegrown element of your style! It's amazing, and speaks to the souls of others!
@@Seizure1993 I'm sad to also find this out. I can listen to this song on repeat forever so when I excitedly looked up his other stuff I was supremely disappointed. I'm a big bluegrass fan and it felt like a real bait and switch.
@@Seizure1993 I just discovered this song and fell in love with it, then I looked up the rest of his stuff and find out this is pretty much the only song of his that sounds like this. To say I'm dissapointed is an understatement, I was hoping for a new bluegrass/western singer I'd listen to and instead he's just another Nashville pop country singer
I just got driven on the back of a side by side down the aisle and got married to the love of my life to this song! We're both gypsy nomads who hopped off the train in a little town in North Idaho, met eachother, and fell in love. This song is a part of our hearts forever, thank you Ian for this gem of a song!
I lived the same life my friend. Roots have grown in my life now. I miss the adventures I miss the fresh air coming off the mountain into the valleys, as I wake up to the sun greeting me. But I so enjoy my comforts as I regain my life out of a wheelchair. I truly hope each of you take those memories in. That’s all I have now of those days.
This song feels like one of the songs I would fall asleep to as a child. And listen on repeat. God I miss those times. Got the nostalgia running through my veins now.
i love country, listening to it especially this makes me homesick for a life ive never had born and live in the uk wish i was living in Colorado or Montana, maybe in another life, great song
I had no idea this song was this old, I also had no idea I knew this song. I saw your TikTok about the “too western” and thought I’d check it out then realized I knew it and started singing every word. Keep up the good work!
I love this song. I heard it with a buddy that I work with. Just moved back to the country from the city. My wife loves to listen to country music but I was never a big fan until I heard this song. I've never even been on a horse but this song is healing for the soul.I come from a family of musicians and can tell a great song when I hear it. This tune is very healing for the soul. Thanks for sharing the awesome talent friend. God bless
Listening to Ian’s voice makes me long for the days growing up on my grandparents farm, never realized how blessed i was then. Ian’s music helps me remember those days ❤️
I absolutely enjoy listening to the fiddle, tunes and instruments in general in this one. I wish and hope you’ll make more songs with this kind of tunes. Better than the modern country rap crap that keeps playing on the radio these days.
Every now and then I catch a glimpse of where I've been But I'd trade it all just to lie next to you again When that engine roars When it's callin' me back on board So I close my eyes and dream of you That's all I need Trains may come rollin' and take me where they may But if it's your hand I'm holdin', I'll make it through the day Won't you say the same to me or worry not my dear Horses are faster so I can disappear Through the foggy glass I've seen faces from my past Friends I wish I never lost and love that could never last I guess I'll set on down, and pour another shot of crown And close my eyes and dream of you That's all I need Trains may come rollin' and take me where they may But if it's your hand I'm holdin', I'll make it through the day Won't you say the same to me or worry not my dear Horses are faster so I can disappear
This song has helped me over the past 3 years. I’ve gotten through some difficult times listening to this. Listening to the sound of my engine crying out like every tear shed over everyone I’ve lost lately.
This song reminds me of my trip to Yellowstone. I was there August 2021. It was just as beautiful as the first time I visited in the summer of 2008, I was only 17. (Oh how time flies!) This time around my husband and I drove to Jackson Hole, Wy and it was beautiful. We stayed at the West entrance, but decided to explore the south entrance of the park and got to see Grand Teton np. I loved it!!!
