    What sources did you use for this account? I can't find that bit about Aristagoras' father and I'd rather not spend my afternoon trying to find one detail in the mass that is the Histories lmao.

      It’s in Book 5 of Herodotus I know that.

    Slight confusion here (around 2:06) perhaps - I thought that the Persians/inhabitants of Sardis retreated to a temple/sanctuary as the Akropolis is in Athens??

    How did the Persian commander send word before they reached Naxos for the "expedition"? What type of communication (or maybe transportation) did he use?

      They would have had to send a ship of some kind. Not a large warship, but a smaller vessel with fewer crew members on board
