I love, love, love Tommy! Was just showing him - running with his big red ball to my husband when this origin story popped up. Tommy is so adorable. Thank you for giving him a great life. ❤
Lee I am 71 years old and have had Bulldogs since I was 5 years old and watching how happy Tommy is was the best thing I have seen. Thank you for bringing him home
You are a very lucky woman. I ended up with a 1 year old eng bulldog from my ex boyfriend. I fell in love instantly and had that bulldog until he was 13. He had to be put down in 2017 at age 13. I still cry every single day, 7 years later. I've had many dogs, but that bulldog has put the largest hole in my heart. So glad Lee decided to keep Tommy.
Unwanted are the one who have the most beautiful eyes and they do know who they can trust.. They are more beautiful at any point compare to cruel fake humankind.. Their actions are speak louder than human
I wondered that as well, since there are BD fanciers out there who would scoop Tommy right up. Since he wasn't "surrendered" to a shelter due to issues, I thought maybe he was lost. *But someone notified me that even English Bulldogs can be used in puppy mill systems* where you have breeder dogs (like the Asher House golden retriever Lucy) who spend their young years being used as breeders--with no other life--and then when they are older and "used up", they are dumped or worse. So it's possible that Tommy was discarded from such a situation, due to his age and health issues. Maybe Lee will clarify at some point.
@@andydufresne5297 Yes, puppy mills use dog slaves for years as breeders and they breed pretty much everything. See if you can find a list of the puppymills in your state.

I love how Lee greets every new doggy with instant kisses. I have yet to see any dog refuse all that loving. That's an immediate bonding experience. ❤️
I've been fostering for years and when I first get them, unless they're dealing with a recent surgery or something, I just smother them and kisses and hugs and back scratches and everything. Then I tone it down just to see what their comfort level is. Sometimes it takes a few days and they just want to sleep.. but they always remember you is the one that covered them in kisses first!
What a sweet boy!! I had an English bulldog, his name was Bob, the best breed of dog ever, but they will break your heart when they develop health problems! Bob lived an exceedingly long life for a EBD, he was 13 when he passed. He developed Cushing disease in his final year & it was heart wrenching! My oldest son has had 3, one that passed from cancer at 10, and the 2 he has now. One has horrific skin problems & allergies and the other gets weepy eyes. They are so dedicated and so loving and have such horrible separation anxiety from their owners, that I'm surprised you are fostering him instead of adopting him! At 8 years old & losing his previous family, and now getting attached to you & will eventually lose you, that's a lot of heartache for an 8 year old bullie to go through! I hope you consider him a foster fail and let him live out his life at Asher house!
Look at that face who couldn't fall in love with him. He just looks like the sweetest boy, by the way I know you love him you made a song for him!! Everyone in the pack was so good with him, and Penny that girl is the social director to make sure he is good!! I really love him he has a beautiful smile nice choice my friend, love ya!!❤️❤️❤️❤️
I love how "the pack" is so patient and sweet to any new dog you introduce them to. They feel safe at all times and are willing to greet any new dog with kindness and that's due to your kind, compassionate nature :-)
Tommy Boy is so handsome and chill, what an awesome addition to the pack. He looks a lot like my Pinky Louise, an English bulldog mix I adopted 8 years ago, also from the mean streets of L.A. She’s been the best girl ever and still going strong. I’m wishing all the best for you and Tommy Boy, he couldn’t have landed at a better place than with you at the Sanctuary.💕
You melt my heart with the love of animals/dogs that you have. You are saving these poor dogs who probably would have been put down and that fills my heart. I have always taken dog at the shelters nd never regretted it. Our dog we have now we have had for 9 years...she is part Chi and part something else. She is still suffering from what the children of the elderly man who owned Daisy and her mother. did to her. When the man died, they took the animals way down another road and dumped them in a severe storm area. Daisy was 4 months old. My friend in NC who took dogs and worked to find them homes sent Daisy to me because she knew I had just lost my other dog. Daisy still shakes and cries every time the storms happen. We hold her and cover her to help her and she is getting a little better but has taken a long time. Thank you for all you do and sorry for my such long story.
That chunky little baby would steal my heart in a second! I'm so glad he's going to get the care and love he needs. And in such a beautiful place with all the other dogs! Thank you!! 🥰
I started watching when Tommy got VERY attached to his ball and wouldnt go anywhere without it❤️. I didnt know his story so this was lovely to see. ❣️❣️
That was just a wonderful welcome... your doggos learn what they live. They are so loved, have a real family, and have a Pack Dad who loves them all individually and as a Doggie Family / Pack. They are all filled up inside, love their life, and have enough to share. They are not worried that one new dog is going to mean no place for them. That is an absolutely fantastic achievement! You.set a great example for us all,on so many levels. I wish you well, much happiness, and thank you most sincerely.
Aww, look at Millie all up there in the welcoming committee and wagging her tail. Love how they all gather round the newbies so gently and giving reassurance.
It's so funny to watch the new dogs reactions when you first bring them home. You see the mass of dogs checking out the new dog at the truck or in the yard. Then it's like everywhere the new dog turns, there's *another* dog. Open a door. Dog. Walk into a room. Another dog. Walk onto the porch. More dogs. Lol
Truly amazing how Tommy Boy looked so unsure & hesitant in the beginning of the video & then emerges as a tail wagging puppa who brightened up seeing Lee trotting right over! What a change just a bit of love can bring
How could you abandon such a Sweet Soul...? I just adore him!!!! 🧡🐾❣ Thank you Lee for saving his life and giving him such a loving surrounding !!! I pray 🙏 you keep him. God Bless!!
I've been working in fostering and rescue for years and it's not just Lee. Obviously we are all fans of Lee or we wouldn't be here.. but there is such a wonderful network in the US of people who volunteer to transport dogs from areas like after Hurricane Ian struck and we had a Labrador overpopulation in a breeding facility here in Washington state, a few months ago when 4,000 beagles were rescued from a breeding for research facility. Those beagles are now in 48 states and for all I know Alaska and Hawaii too! Once you start volunteering and you're part of this network you'd be amazed! *_It takes a village to do this!_*
Wow, he's adorable...he's got that gruff, grumpy old man look going on but you can tell from how calm he is that he's just the sweetest boy with a heart of gold. Welcome to the pack, Tommy Boy! (Also love the name, because I think he looks a bit like grizzled old soldier who's seen a lot). I really hope this turns into a foster fail!
Bulldogs are very chill. I have a forever foster Sr bulldog who is 9, female who was taken in from rescue after being overbred and tons of major spine issues. She is the easiest dog I have ever had. After losing 3 boxers to cancer in less than two years she is my sunshine.
Maybe his owner passed on? Or got arrested ? His owner might have been homeless? There are many possible "innocent" reasons why dogs can end up on the streets. It's sad, of course, in each case, but I don't think that it's always for malicious reasons.
I love how when you bring home a new pup, the rest of the pack reminds me of little kids when a loved one comes back from a trip... "What did ya bring me, Dad?!?! What you got in there?!?! Is it for me?!?!" 💜🐾💜🐾

He is truly a sweetheart. But I must say that Mildred, Millie, looks just amazing. The love and care you give to each and every one is mindblowing. If everyone cared even a quarter of the care you give, their world would be livable. As world ours. Bless you ❤✌
Tommy Boy was instantaneous LOVE when I saw him. I can't wrap my head around the idea that someone would abandon him; especially as he is a "senior citizen". Love to Lee and Tommy Boy! ❤❤❤❤
Foster? Yeah right. It’s pretty obvious Lee is already in love with this dog.
He foster failed today.... I love it

Beautiful to see💜. Tommy looks years younger the next day. Part of the pack & a home filled with love.

I miss seeing Tommy without his red ball.
How could such a beautiful bulldog be running homeless out on the streets? He’s adorable ❤️
That was my first thought as well. An adorable English Bully-Angel... homeless?!? I'm SO thankful he's now safe & happy & is at last... Home.💕X💕🙏💕O💕

Tommy has been one of my all time favorites. He doesn't act his age at all 😂.
