I low how giddy you get about makeup after all these years! A lot of OG RUclipsrs seem so jaded to me nowadays, making the same kind of videos and just going trough the motions but not you!.Your joy is contagious, Em! XO.
You always have so many one liners I appreciate so SO much! “Beauty blender I think you’re gonna get a lot of exercise today.” “Do you wanna build a snowman? YES I DO!” You always bring a smile to my face along with lots of laughs😊💜 And to answer your question, no tutorials shouldn’t be 15 seconds! I need full length and details please and thank you!
I actually use her 'you seem unenthused' from a Too Faced collection review as a text message alert from people that I hate getting messages so that I know whether to go find my phone or not. If i hear 'you seem unenthused' I know the person isn't one i want to hear from! it's perfect and it makes me smile every time!!
Yes i agree i love the longer in depth tutorials with all the informative content and love emilys sense of humor and excitement she brings to the makeup world she is the best
I have a video idea. Replacements for discontinued products. I say this because Loreal has discontinued my fave foundation, the True Match Lumi Cushion. 😫
If she doesn't do the video, which is a great idea btw, have you tried typing in ingredients and see what pops up? Covergirl is famous for shoving a formula in a new package ☺
I agree totally, so many of us get stuck in a rut. In my 30s I was guilty of using same makeup day in and day out. After a horrific car accident I decided life was too short. I made several life changes, inc divorce lol ... I've been wearing make-up from I was 11 and I'm now 45. I used to only use drug store as I felt guilty about buying high-end... now I buy both and don't feel guilty buying high-end... and I like to experiment. I wear a glam look everyday so I get plenty of chance to experiment. Allow your inner self to shine through in your make-up.... it's practical ... but great fun x
Yay! Good for you! Was diagnosed with cancer 2 yrs ago, lots of surgeries, still doing some treatments and you're SO right: Life is far too short not to enjoy it! Glad you're doing well!💜
@Skincarejunkie I've tried beauty blender and by cosmetics didn't like them but the eco tools sponge I really do like doesn't absorb liquid foundation or concealer
My husband made my brush declutter very quick and easy.... he threw every morphe brush of mine in the trash! Got tired of me complaining about how bad they were 🤣🤣 sigma had a 30% off sale so I got all new brushes!
I use the LM puff. I find that it helps w/the longevity of my makeup as I'm very oily. It really sets my makeup and keeps me matte longer. To clean it I use bar soap to get the stains out and finish with the tiniest dot of Downey soap to kill build up bacteria
That is THE way you are supposed to use fine power. The press & roll with a puff. I don’t know why people think a puff is just for looks. Try is with Coty air spun as well. Any fine milled powder looks best when applied correctly. See Wayne Goss, he explains it well.
Rishi Beauty I don’t think it’s that everyone doesn’t know (tho some don’t I’m sure) but rather preference. I’ve tried it with a puff for example but I have dry skin and it was just too much powder and too mattifying when used lightly, I would have loved it if I was more normal to oily I’m sure. I use a very small fluffy brush to diffuse powder only where I need it.
Rishi Beauty I don’t find using a puff the proper way like Emily does in this video is practical for a lot of people everyday. Seems to be more time consuming than stippling it on with a brush
Mira Parker it’s not for everyone, that’s for sure. But I bet that if you did a poll asking if they knew about the puff & the correct way to use it, most will say no. Iam a little surprised that you say it’s way too much powder, that’s why you tap, fold and roll. It actually makes powder control better than a brush or sponge. Did you just happen to dip it in and put it directly on your face? Either way, no big deal. I just bet most folks never knew there is a proper way to use a sponge.
Rishi Beauty nope, I definitely did it correctly. Even if you tap off though and roll you’re still pressing powder and a very small very diffused brush disperses much less in my experience with my own skin - especially when I’m doing very small areas like the bridge of my nose and expression lines on the forehead. I know people who like the puff but most also enjoy a more matte look or are oily. I used barely any powder unless I’m setting under the eyes. Plenty of trained makeup artists don’t use puffs. There’s no “right” way and application can really depend on the products used and the person involved. If you like a puff better and that works for you then that’s awesome, I’m so glad you like it. But it’s strange to try and argue that it’s best for everyone.
Good morning, Emily. I think Laura Mercier wants us to use up her powder quickly by using the puff to apply, lol. I like "learning with you."It's fun to play in my makeup!! I love Superhero too. I rarely use lipliner, but want to start. Hope you have enough snow so the girls build a snowman. Blessings, and love..MaryEllen
To stop creasing put only primer on Ur lids (face primer not eye primer)then setting powder but use a damp sponge&then go in with ur shadow sticks. I LOVE shadow sticks they're my "looks like I've tried but I haven't" lazy quick eye look. I think they look better than powder shadow IF u find the right one.
jacki aina really likes the match sticks and she warms them up on the back of her hand first to kinda get the product a little more creamy. maybe youd like them better that way!
Do you think you could try the way Samantha Ravendahl does her base? She puts on cream blush and bronzer slightly heavier then usual and THEN does her foundation/concealer
Great video! 👍🏼😊 Also... I would love to see an updated version of “tips and tricks for on air makeup that lasts”. I’m not in broadcasting, but I do feel that there are definitely some tips and tricks that could help me in my 12 hour days as a CCMA.
A quick way to apply powder with the loose powder is to dip it in, fold and rub it in then flick the outside to get extra off before press and rolling. This keeps make up on forever! You clean it as you’d do with your sponge. Same way. They are so cheap though, you can just replace them too if that works better.
Tints are a major product in K-beauty (I think in Asian beauty in general. Would you be interested in trying the drunk blush technique? You will extend the tint across your nose bridge before powdering. It creates a really natural flushed look.
Rachel Chua I never knew it was called that! I always take some blush on the the bridge of my nose. I adore blush though. I wear it a tad heavy on my cheeks a noticeable amount on my nose, but not heavy. Then I take what is left on my brush I sweep it over my forehead and chin. I keep the blush on me cheeks higher than most “beauty gurus tell you too, I feel like with it a bit higher up it’s more youthful.
I always use the powder puff, works and looks so much better then using a brush.. I wash it when I wash my brushes, I sometimes throw it in the wash with my towels 🤷♀️ does the job!
This video definitely “scratches wear I’m itchin’ “😜 I did a huge declutter of my makeup stash and put a box on my makeup table of products I want to use up and those that I couldn’t remember if I still liked or not. It has been so enlightening! I’m planning to share the results with my subscribers at the end of the month. And from a fellow snow-lover, I hope you got a massive amount of snow ❄️ ☃️💙
I have been decluttering my stash, I have sooooo much new makeup. I love watching you for your tips and tricks and ways to use something differently. You also make me remember products I have bought and forgotten about so I can dig those out and give them another try. The biggest thing I have learned at 57 is less is more for my foundation, never thought I would say that.
I don't have a youtube channel Im just a serious makeup lover like you and these shopping your stash/declutter vids are much needed for me to do the same. I would love to see makeup videos for news casters/people on tv 👍. Best channel on youtube!
If you scroll back on her channel, she has at least one Newscast makeup video that I remember watching but I am sure she has more! Of course, a new one could be a really cool idea, but she’s still super Emily and super great in her old videos. I watch them just for fun and enjoyed them :)
She does have a few videos telling what makeup and things last don't glare or what is it called? She's the best on you tube you'll fine a few others that's good well great however she's one of the first I started watching and I've never been unhappy with anything I bought that she said she really loves. I love love the fact that she will tell you about cheaper brushes/ makeup and she's able to buy anything however she loves alot of cheaper makeup and brushes and you'll see how truly great those items really are. They can stand beside the top dollar items and sometimes win..
I decluttered my brushes two weeks ago. It felt good/bad to see them go, but they had been sitting around (actually hidden in a drawer), unused for a looooong time. I took them to St. Vinny's so maybe someone new will adopt them. Still have all my favorites within easy reach of my makeup collection.
I'm the opposite Ann, I own a total of 6 brushes and 2 beauty blenders. I keep saying I need to buy new ones ... but never get around to it. I love my brushes, cheap as chips but I know buying better vegan brushes would make application better ... I don't know why I never buy new ones??
Ann Goodman Thanks for mentioning Vinny’s I need to look it up hopefully they are in S.California. Just heard of another one which takes lightly used products I forgot name but think is in Santa Monica that’s near me. I donate many things you never know who might find it useful and when kids are growing lots clothes are in great condition still just a bit short. I’ll have the hardest time donating makeup but I think I might gather some to donate. 💕
Emily- I would love to see more shadow stick looks!! The LM Caviar sticks are my favorites- Au Naturel is so easy to blend into the crease for subtle definition.
Spent this cold morning rescuing a sick kitty. Now we have him cuddled up in bed watching his first Emily video! He seems to enjoy it! Any suggestions for his name?
Samantha Brianne Dealing with a sick girl kitty, Zoey. She suddenly could not stand up, very wobbly and was not eating. Still weak but eating yet still will not come out of the crate. Apparently eating late at night which is a good sign. Trying to remove her bandage from her leg but the 80 lb tiger is coming out when I try. Baby steps!
Not a RUclipsr, but I decluttered my entire makeup collection quite a bit over the holidays. My family was in town and they love to go through my stuff 😂 my New Years resolution is to be much more selective over the makeup a purchase. I’m buying products as a run out, but like for palettes I’m focusing on formulas and color stories I really REALLY love. And I love to watch your videos for advice and reviews on new products because I feel like you are so practical and think of those things in reviews.
I love using shadow sticks for my work makeup on mornings when I’m short on time. It means I can spend some time perfecting my base, but still look like I made an effort with my eyes. I only ever use one mid toned colour all over my lid and under my eyes, give it all a quick blend and I’m done. My favourite brush to use is the little double ended one from the UD Naked Ultimate Basics palette. If I have a couple of extra minutes I’ll follow it up by using a pencil liner across my lash line and smudging it out. When I use matte cream highlighters I only ever use them under my contour line to make a contrast there. Like you, I feel they are generally too dry and don’t provide enough coverage under my eyes.
Good morning! Watching a new Emily video with a fire going and some hot tea = excellent start to a snowy weekend. I’m west of St. Louis, and we’ve gotten about nine inches of snow, and it’s still coming down! There will be a snowman for sure!
In my plan this year to try to buy less and enjoy what I have more, I am looking for fun challenge ideas to make getting ready more fun and playful. You’ve given me a great one here: full face of products I don’t remember how I feel about! Excuse the poor grammar, but I can’t wait to dig through and find things that I know I have but can’t remember how I used or what I thought of them. It’s like having new things without shopping!
Your natural skin is looking incredibly good. I’ve been using a Vit C, hyaluronic serum nightly, over the past 3-4 months and my age spots are almost gone. I’m all about improving my 62 y/o skin. 😇
The Balm blushes in general last well, but Tarte lasts better than anything on me. NARS is also decent. I've never had a drugstore blush last on my skin, but if you use a cream blush and top it with powder, that also helps.
I do my powder with a powderpuff, cause I am so oily. It helps when you press it in firmly and just roll. I wash it with my brush soap and just rinse it out well.
As a previous make up artist I can say that we were taught to use the powder puff to apply loose powder exactly like the video showed. I no longer do that because my skin is no longer oily and I have some fine lines that I do not want to pronounce. But that technique does work for long wear, oil control and a matte look, without being cakey. Which is all very nice, it's just as I have gotten older and my skin has changed I choose to use products that have a dewy finish.
Self care always lifts my spirits. I don't normally paint my finger nails but when I do it always gives me a boost. How about a very satisfying face mask, paint your nails and listen to your favorite music or movie? Do something nice for yourself.
I like reading or listening to a good book that can let my imagination take over. The Outlander series by Diana Gabaldon is one of my favorites. I also really enjoy many of Nora Roberts trilogies. Just enough fantasy to take me out of my reality. I hope you find something to lift your spirits.
I'm in the same boat and not everything works but trying is better than nothing. Vitamin D3 and sunlight if possible, watching or listening to something funny because laughter really helps. Maybe make an uplifting positive music playlist with inspirational lyrics. Scents also can lift mood like fave fragrance or a candle even. I like cookie smells 🙂 If you like animals, spending time with pets or nature helps some people. Hope you find something that helps xx
Susan Stetson, Nora Roberts is my favorite writer. Her books are so easy to read but they keep me interested throughout the book. I also enjoy her trilogies. She is my favorite author and Emily is my favorite utuber! They are both a “Win Win!!! 👍🏻👍🏻👌🏻
I had a flat sponge that came with my Time Balm foundation (works best with that sponge!) that my three year old played with, got gross and stuck in her pocket. Switched laundry and found the sponge looking brand new! I'm not considering throwing my beauty blender in my delicate cycle! Since you're not a die hard fan with the puff you could try that??
Saturday mornings with Emily! Makes me look forward to working out on a very cold Saturday morning! Thanks for bringing the warmth and happy, Emily!!! 🤗
I haven't stopped using lipliner because my lips are not as defined as yours and if I just put lipstick on, liquid of from a bullet, it doesn't look its best. For me lining the lips makes all the difference in actually "building" the edge and shape of my lips. Can you pls swatch things on the back of your hand so we can see color, pigmentation, consistency, etc? like the marker you put on your eyebrows, would've loved to see the two colors on your skin to see which is best for me and how light/strong or thin/thick wet/dry of a line they do. Great video, as always. And yes, your skin looks more even now. You don't need full coverage, that concealer did its job, at least in camera your face looked very even toned and without blemishes.
As far as the matte highlight sticks- I wouldn't use them as under eye concealer. I personally would use them to highlight anywhere else on the face such as down the nose, forehead, chin, even to clean up under a cream contour. Stuff like that. You can use it where we normally highlight, on the check bone, to brighten then add a powder highlight over it if wanted or leave as is to just brighten/highlight.
I always set my face with a powder puff like Laura Mercier every day. You can just pop it in your handbag for touch ups on the go as it’s already saturated with powder. Just clean them the same way as you would a beauty blender x
"It's under control, trust me!" LOL! Uh huh, right! ;) LOVE cream products, I've been using them almost exclusively for the last 6 months. They're so easy and my combo dry skin loves them. I loved the eye look you put together today! Try applying the blush and highlight to your fingers first and then dab/pat on to blend, it looked like your blender was removing it. The warmth from your fingers should help it to blend better, especially the highlight. I love Clinique's Chubby Stick Highlight and I'll use pretty much any cream blush and shadows I can get my hands on. =D
I use powder puffs like you did in this video when I want to really lock in my foundation and concealer! I have oily skin, and it truly works to keep me matte for longer and help the makeup last longer. If it looks dry, I just spray with Mac Fix + to give my skin life again.
I've seen that imparticular highlight (fenty lightning dust/ fire crystal) four times on RUclips just this week and that's it! I'm sold! It WILL be my first fenty highlighter whenever I buy one! So beautiful!
Hi Emily, thank you for another informative and enjoyable video! Would you consider doing a very basic eyeshadow look using the ItCosmetics Naturally Pretty Eyeshadow Trio? No one ever talks about them, but I think they are perfect for people like me who only use minimal eyeshadow. Thanks!
I did my makeup the same way for 20 years just occasionally changing my lipstick or blush colour once they had run out. Since discovering RUclips makeup channels 2 years ago I now wear concealer, highlighter, bronzer, contour, eyeshadow and glitter eyeshadow! I almost never do the same eyeshadow look twice. I LOVE makeup again and I am always getting out of my comfort zone. I’m 53 and I wear blue, green and purple shimmery eyeshadows. You’ve taught me so much.
I feel like we're in the same head space with makeup this week. What stays, goes, works, doesn't? What do I need to try, use more? My take away is, if you have to use other things to make the similar product work it's got to go. I would say, ditch the Fenty sticks and cream foundation. The brow liner you used looked really nice and the best part, easy to use! Finally, the balm and lip liner combo is something I'm definitely going to try! Thank you for making a video of ways to use what we have and trying different technics. 🤗
Yes I am still on board with the fenti cream contour. I do this every day but I always blend with a small stipple brushes (elf or coastal scents) and the finish is gorgeous. The beauty blender tends to blend the product away on me.
I have never used a brush to add face powder ... always a big puff and always that technique... been doing it for 30 years lol. Only use brush for bronzer, blush etc x
The Fenty stick in linen, I always warm it up in my ring finger and then apply it to the under eyes. I find it covers dark circles very well. I use the same technique with the ranges contour and shimmer highlights. I find the trio is very useful on quick makeup days.
I'm in southern CA and we are still wearing shorts and sandals! I will say I think it's supposed to rain here tonight or tomorrow, but even then it's still in the 60's. On Christmas we played football and it was 86 here, sorta warm lol.
I have been loving using oils under my moisturizer lately. I know people have differing ideas about whether oils should be treated more like a serum or whether they should come after moisturizer, but I find that if I use them right before foundation, my foundation doesn’t always sit well on top (some do, but it’s a lot more finicky) but if I use them under moisturizer I get the same benefits and I can use any foundation on top. I’m only three minutes into the video (and I’ve wanted to try that Milani oil since it released) but in case you have any foundation longevity issues I waned to offer this recent discovery of mine! Now I use an oil every day!
On contour palettes: I have recently rediscovered my love of contour palettes. I have one from profusion that I bought from tj Maxx, loves, and bought a backup of (something I rarely do!) when I hit pan on one shade. Apparently I loved it! I have been using it again and mixing the bronzer and light contour shades for a fast two-in-one step, and it has been great! I don’t love the setting powders as much as my NYX banana powder, but they are a close second! It’s been so fun to pull that out again and I use it several times a week!
Many, many years ago I read instructions for using a puff in this way from a theatrical (stage) makeup artist, and I've done it that way ever since. It makes the degree of application much more controllable and tends to prevent the spots of over-application that can occur otherwise. You might also want to know that you can wash that type of puff in the washing machine. I use a lingerie bag to protect it from damage and pre-rinse with a bit of detergent so that there is no unexpected transfer to cause stains on other items in the load. You certainly don't have to do it every use - or every 50 for that matter - but it's good to know that you can.
Omg yes. I never hear anything recently. What was strange is Avon got taken out of my country...it wasn't selling well 😕 so I wasn't sure how it was doing elsewhere. They even shut down the website so we can't even order online unless it's ebay or something.
I think a lot of people are retired from Avon because they are a pushy MLM.... For me personally, their products seem to seriously lack pigment, like they are still trying to sell products manufactured in 1995. 😂 And the ingredients are all horrible, for the people who care about that too. For the prices they want for all these bad features, you can do significantly better even just at the drug store.
Ive never had a youtubers amount of makeup, but ive recently decluttered my stuff too. Its so nice to be able to use everything and re discover somethings! Remember those 7 sin wet n wild 6 pan shadows? I found those in my collection and used them, still great!!
I LOVE that you pulled out the OG ABH contour palette! I use it everyday. No, I don’t use all the colors anymore, but I can’t live without the 3 bottom colors. I use the middle color for actual contour - it’s so natural on my skin (and I love it as a crease color too!). I swap btw the other colors for bronzer depending on the season.
Ahh Emily, I did notice that your complexion looks really even! Working your magic I see 💥 You don’t need make up! But we’re glad your here to help us! Brilliant video idea. Love you, girl 👧!
Hi Emily, you should try the StylPro brush cleaning system. I saw it on Nadine Baggotts Chanel and looked it up straight away. It’s great, quick and easy too. Thank you for your vids
This was a great video! I bought some Linda Hallberg brushes that came with her powder puff and I use that in my Laura Mercie powder all the time and love it
I LOVE this video idea , I honestly want too see more . I actually love the Fenty match sticks for contouring , concealing and adding a highlight . I don’t use it daily but I use it weekly . I love the contour it looks so natural and adds such dimensions . I use the match stick instead of a colour corrector because I find the formula to be dry enough not to move around under a highlighter shade concealer( like nars creamy concealer or born this way multi use ) . I have dry skin and use dewy foundations , I also just use the highlight / blush sticks on minimum makeup days but I use it with a wet beauty blender . I also only use a puff to apply powders I feel I get the most out of my powder and less product is wasted . I use my finger and kinda fold in like a taco and press it under my eye . For the skin I just tap slight .
A Japanese actress says she often plays with makeup at the end of the day, before her nighttime routine, and her makeup ends up getting bolder and bolder at around 1:00 am in the morning lol. Such a good idea tho.
This eye look on you makes your eyes look incredible!! You always do amazing eye looks, but something about this just realllllly made your eyes pop! Contour palettes, the smashbox step by step contour palette is my go to. I’ve used it almost every time I’ve done my makeup for well over a year and still haven’t hit pan. It just gives me the most natural yet defined contour of anything I have. I recommend breaking that out if you still have it!!
I've been using that puff technique for YEARS - the press-and-roll is GREAT if you are going to be really physically active, so I use it when I'm dancing. But I use whatever powder I have to hand.
This was a fun video! You were very playful and relaxed. Love your other videos too. But more of this would be cool! Using those de cluttered products that still have to be tested...
I just saw this same press and roll method on a Sephora tutorial! I’ve started it and like it! Appreciate you trying new stuff and techniques; always like learning and trying new things.
I absolutely love the Milani oils. I use them daily, they’re so light, and absorb so well. Some oils, even though my skin is dry, seem to just sit on top of my skin, and feel sticky, but the Milani ones do not.
Love the Amber Matchstick on my fair skin. Most bronzer/contour shades are too orange and this cool tone is absolutely perfect and practically blends itself. And I love Clinique Chubby shadow sticks.
Do the caviar shadow sticks last well on their own? Or would it be best to still put a primer underneath? I have hooded lids that are very prone to creasing. Also, side note, does anyone else really enjoy using a heated eyelash curler? I never never hear about them much on youtube, perhaps because most youtubers just use false lashes. But I swear by my heated eyelash curler as gives me a nice dramatic curl.
I was so happy when you said you didn’t remember loving fenty match sticks. Fenty as a brand hasn’t worked for me and I was feeling a bit alone. It’s too drying for me. I find trying to blend these is so much work that my foundation ends up moving or disappearing. I love shawdow sticks but now I’m 42 and find they tug a bit more than I like and with skin that is aging I want as little tugging as possible. I only use more liquidy eyeshadow if I’m using a non powder. I do miss them though.
Tip... Dry Concealer? put a drop of your oil on your beauty blender and blend it out (i have to do it with shape tape and certain concealers (I usually have a blender for skincare, 1 with some lotion absorbed into it with a drop or 2 of oil, and 1 with setting spray on it, then a few regular 1s
I like the morphe mist spray. There are so many setting sprays that just leave spots all over my face and I have to pay them in with a beauty blender. I wish all setting sprays were a mist like that!
Where I live in Australia we never get snow, it’s Summer here, woken 6am by noisy rainbow lorikeets. It’s really nice to watch your channel with snow in the background like last time you had snow and the guy was ploughing outside something I’ve never experienced and very intriguing.
Emily I have strep throat & seeing you in a cute Minnie Mouse headband & hearing your cheerful voice is enough to cheer me up as I’m taking a rare day in bed. What better way to spend it than by watching you, hearing good make up things & your lovely chatter. Much love x
I’m an Esthetician & Pro makeup artist & I have a couple of comments. 1. Your skin was the first thing I noticed today & thought it looked nice, even, & bright. 2. I always use a puff on clients. Pressing the powder in a rolling manner seems to really mesh the powder with the foundation without over powdering. It locks everything in.
I low how giddy you get about makeup after all these years! A lot of OG RUclipsrs seem so jaded to me nowadays, making the same kind of videos and just going trough the motions but not you!.Your joy is contagious, Em! XO.
Yazmin Gallegos totally agree! There aren’t a lot who seem genuinely happy with it anymore: it’s just gimmicky videos
Amen!! That's why I love watching real women like Emily. Xo!
Shes so genuine...you can tell she sill enjoys her job and doesn’t just feel pressure to put out content
What does OG mean, please? xxx
@@chrissymoss514 Orginal Gangster. Meaning old school. The first. The Orginal.
You should also do the “how I’d do my wedding makeup now” video!!
Oh I love that idea
Patrice Bailey YESSSS!!!
YES!!! Covergirl's ready, set, gorgeous foundation and maybelline's better skin powder! The list goes on and on but those are my top 2
If she doesn't do the video, which is a great idea btw, have you tried typing in ingredients and see what pops up? Covergirl is famous for shoving a formula in a new package ☺
Christinaanna5 I haven’t yet. I managed to stockpile 4 of them, so hopefully I will find a good replacement before I run out. 🤞🏻
Let’s have a moment of silence for the true match lumi cushion 😥
They discontinued Lumi Cushion??!! Oh no! I haven't bought foundation in awhile so I didn't know. That stinks!
Jessica Braun has mentioned that "press and roll" with a velour puff was how she was taught to use powder by her drama school makeup teacher

@@redsloane879 hey, I hope ur doing well. I'm getting a "lump"exam soon so fingers crossed. God bless & keep on with the glam💞😉💋💞
@@Mollys-lips hey there!! I'm hanging in!! I think the waiting for the scans, exams, check ups are the hardest. Best of luck to you!!💖👍
Can you do what’s new at the drugstore please
I know there are so many new things. Try the covergirl black sponge its amazing and so close to the real beauty blender but even better
@Skincarejunkie I've tried beauty blender and by cosmetics didn't like them but the eco tools sponge I really do like doesn't absorb liquid foundation or concealer
@Skincarejunkie I recently just scored some eco tools holiday colors on clearance . I don't mind the colors, it's still the same products.
My husband made my brush declutter very quick and easy.... he threw every morphe brush of mine in the trash! Got tired of me complaining about how bad they were 🤣🤣 sigma had a 30% off sale so I got all new brushes!
Rightttt.. Morphe brushes some are good most of mine are scratchy and rough.
Bh cosmetics have some good brushes at great prices especially when there have a sale
Aubri Its not for everybody & there is a learning curve- but have you seen the results in person when done correctly? Way better than a brush.
Wow! Mary Ellen is here!!! I admire you! Melissa55, LisaLisad1, Tammy, all of you and of course Emily inspire and motivate me!
Oh, thank you so much, Rindy. I never miss one of Emily's videos. I'm in great company in your comment!!
I actually found Emily through your videos! 💞you both!!
Emily is my "Gold Standard" RUclips creator. So happy you found her, she will never steer you wrong, Christina!!
Mary Ellen LOL, I love it! A good conspiracy theory.
Can you please do a shadow stick simple and glam look.
And how to prevent creasing. Especially with light colors.
Abbie Green yes! Great idea
Ooh & a best of drug store shadow sticks!
Yes. She also uses Yacth Life as a highlighter. Maybe it's better suited for that.
I know this is from last year but this is a perfect example of why you are one of my favorites on RUclips!❤️
I do this with blusher to create a Played Out in the Forest and It was Cold Windy look. What tints are favorite in Korea?
Alma Toledo sorry I’m not from Korea. It’s just that K-beauty is big here in the Philippines
I clean the Laura mercier powder puff by just throwing it into the washer!!
I m wondering when your blush line is going to be released?? :) :) :) Love your Saturday videos... enjoy your weekend Coach!💄
Love you Emily! I’m overwhelmed with makeup brushes- wish you would do a de clutter video on makeup brushes!
You always bring me so much joy! I am recovering from neck surgery and am so glad I found your channel. So good!
Christi Lewis wishing you good lucky and a speedy recovery 😊
I decluttered my brushes two weeks ago. It felt good/bad to see them go, but they had been sitting around (actually hidden in a drawer), unused for a looooong time. I took them to St. Vinny's so maybe someone new will adopt them. Still have all my favorites within easy reach of my makeup collection.
Go Ann!! :D
I'm the opposite Ann, I own a total of 6 brushes and 2 beauty blenders. I keep saying I need to buy new ones ... but never get around to it. I love my brushes, cheap as chips but I know buying better vegan brushes would make application better ... I don't know why I never buy new ones??
Ann Goodman
Thanks for mentioning Vinny’s I need to look it up hopefully they are in S.California.
I love using the powderpuff with setting powder. I’m an oily girl and this is the way to go. Gives me the perfect amount without overdoing it.
If you watch the Rihanna’s makeup artist tutorials she always warms up the stick on the back of her hand😊 might be easier next time.
i feel like thats such a waste of product :/
@@earthangelbaby_ you can use it still. You apply whats on your hand with your finger
@@tantricjeffanie ive never seen that done!!! omg i can't believe i haven't thought of that
Spent this cold morning rescuing a sick kitty. Now we have him cuddled up in bed watching his first Emily video! He seems to enjoy it! Any suggestions for his name?
What a sweet story 😍😊
Samantha Brianne Awww! Hope he’s doing well! How about “Bub” for a name?😻
Mac, Fenty, Tarte, NARS, ....LOL!
Samantha Brianne
Dealing with a sick girl kitty, Zoey. She suddenly could not stand up, very wobbly and was not eating. Still weak but eating yet still will not come out of the crate. Apparently eating late at night which is a good sign. Trying to remove her bandage from her leg but the 80 lb tiger is coming out when I try. Baby steps!
Mac it is. And good luck with your sweet baby!!
Sitting here w my coffee my baby girl, puppy pals, and waiting for the snow to get here. Watching you is such a delight
Saturday morning in the office working and coffee watching Emily :))
Which ones do you use? Really want to try some. I am a no fuss makeup girl for sure! Lol. 😊
@PumpkinsnBlackcats Thank you!
Lorna Kelso Which shadow sticks do you use?
Tara Ball at the moment my favourites are by Catrice and Rimmel I’ve also enjoyed No 7 in the past

Good morning! Watching a new Emily video with a fire going and some hot tea = excellent start to a snowy weekend. I’m west of St. Louis, and we’ve gotten about nine inches of snow, and it’s still coming down! There will be a snowman for sure!
wow!! We didn't get quite so much here in southern IL - maybe around 5 inches but enough for a snowman! :D
Same here is Northern Illinois! Except a kitten & coffee instead of a fire & tea! Love snowy, cozy days!
Can y'all send some of that snow down south? I wanna build a snowman too😁
Rebecca Darby I think we definitely have enough to share! 😂
emilynoel83 So much fun! Also, I loved the Emily Awards so much - lots of new-to-me products that I’m going to need to try! 😍
A video about long wearing blushes please! I always want to know your favorites and recommendations 💕
Roxanne E The Balm's Instain blushes are SUPER long wearing!
The Balm blushes in general last well, but Tarte lasts better than anything on me. NARS is also decent. I've never had a drugstore blush last on my skin, but if you use a cream blush and top it with powder, that also helps.
Tarte’s Amazonian Clay blushes are very loved for the long wear category. :)
Yaaaaassssss
I love that you go back and use products you’ve had for awhile! So many channels only use the new and hyped up stuff.
Hi Emily! Do you have any tips for what to do when you're down in the dumps? You seem like a very positive person and I'm struggling right now.
I listen to comedy on Pandora. It shakes off anxiety and the Blues like nothing else.
I like cookie smells 🙂
If you like animals, spending time with pets or nature helps some people.
yay thank you so much for taking time to watch!
If you warm the fenty up on your hand it works better x
Sheila Blake Wow! Great idea!
Sheila Blake how do you store it in your handbag?
Tabitha K i store mine in a compact mirror.
"It's under control, trust me!"
LOL!
Oooh that’s the technique the Laura Mercier associate did on me that made my makeup so flawless! I remember her pressing REALLY hard.
I use powder puffs like you did in this video when I want to really lock in my foundation and concealer! I have oily skin, and it truly works to keep me matte for longer and help the makeup last longer. If it looks dry, I just spray with Mac Fix + to give my skin life again.
The Laura Mercier Caviar Sticks are my absolute favorite!! They are so gorgeous for a base and also on their own.
I have about seven of these and they are my go to easy look. They last all day.
I use the Fenty Beauty Match Stix in Amber for my contour each time I do my makeup!
Love shadow sticks for a quick one shadow look (wore one yesterday - the Bobbi brown golden pink)
I adore cream everything I love to use the matchsticks BEFORE the foundation and it is beautiful
As much makeup as I do every day I never thought to use a shadow stick for under the lash line. Brilliant! Thanks for passing along the tip.
New Emily video and hot coffee while being snowed in 😊
I'm snowed in too! Woke up this morning to the first real snow of the season and its a pretty good one.
Rachel B Life goals!!!!
I'm in southern CA and we are still wearing shorts and sandals! I will say I think it's supposed to rain here tonight or tomorrow, but even then it's still in the 60's. On Christmas we played football and it was 86 here, sorta warm lol.
Christy dodd I am in Southern CA as well and it feels cold today. Still a wonderful feeling waking up, grabbing coffee and watching Emily’s videos.
Almost a foot of snow here in St. Louis!
I remember when you used the fenty sticks and you tried using oil with it when you blended them out and liked them a little better
Could you do a big review of AVON. Seriously no one ever talks about it, and it's so affordable. Merci! 😊
Paula Hillier that would be interesting!
I was looking at an AVON catalog yesterday and wondered myself why no one ever does reviews of their products.
Omg yes. I never hear anything recently. What was strange is Avon got taken out of my country...it wasn't selling well 😕 so I wasn't sure how it was doing elsewhere.
They even shut down the website so we can't even order online unless it's ebay or something.
Yes!! Please Emily!!
Good morning Emily and friends! Hope you all are having a Super morning. Hugs--Terry!!
Love you, girl 👧!
you are kind, Cindy!! :D Thanks for watching!
I’ve never been this early! Hi Emily!! Been watching you for 6 years 😊 hope you’re having a great day!
God bless you Sarah!! :D thanks for watching!
This is how I've been feeling lately! Sometimes I go without makeup because I'm stuck in a rut. Love you Emily!
You’ve inspired me to play more with the makeup that I already have!! Great video Emily!

Emily, you and Tyler need to watch The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel. I think you would love it!
I absolutely love the Milani oils. I use them daily, they’re so light, and absorb so well. Some oils, even though my skin is dry, seem to just sit on top of my skin, and feel sticky, but the Milani ones do not.
Always always a puff, never ever a brush to apply loose powder. 😻
Wow that benetint made your lips look amazing!! Instant lip fillers without the chunky look. So gorgeous.
I LOVED Friday Night Lights! Great show. Love the reference on your whiteboard! Keep doing what you’re doing. I enjoy every post!💕
I have always wanted to try one! Any recommendations?
@@elizabethr4107 mine is the pink one by Panasonic and I love it :)
I love the final look, very natural but beautiful 💓💓

LisaD GingerSnaps Thank you very much. I’m pleased you outgrew it, unfortunately I still get it at least twice a year & im in my 30’s now! 😭
