With Berkana and Loki! Loki is also a mother ♡ loves their children and is actually very nurturing! Not always soft 😂 but comforting, nevertheless. ♡ Thank you for all of the effort and information!! I appreciate you so much ♡♡
Amazing videos, I’ve been watching them the last two weeks, taking notes as I go. I appreciate you took the effort to give in depth explanation and cut them up in three videos. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and giving so much energy to laying them out in depth ❤
Hearing you describe it, I personally also associate Othala with belonging, as it seems to make sense to me. Your home is a place you can belong to no matter what, a place you can come back to, especially if it's inherited/ancestral
@@TheNorseWitch yeah, it was like a mini epiphany. Our name ends with ING which is pretty common in a German name, but your video sparked me to do some research on the Ingaevones, a people who come from the same part of Germany as my father’s people. The first part of our name - the closest I’ve come to a meaning is an Estonian word that means oak or acorn. ING being a seed, and an acorn being, essentially, a type of seed as well. Plus I’ve always felt a kinship to oak trees….. it was a special moment. Thanks.
I always thought Ehwaz was the shape of the saddle but it could also be two horses facing each other - this would depict trust and partnership but the two horse heads design is very common in Northern European design around the viking ear. Here in England I think it's linked to Hengist and Horsa who were credited with establishing the Ango Saxon presence on these islands.
In ogham the tree language birch tree represents birth so I will stick to birch for this rune. Thanks for doing these videos I have not used my runes for a whilst so this is a great refresher Thank you
Passing thought so don't hold me to this but the mention of loke in the Norwegian rune poem for berkana may relate to his tricking/kidnapping of iddun who could connect to the trees by her apples maybe? Also this has been a great series love the channel! :D
I’ve always viewed Ehwaz as a partnership or relationship, it looks like two people facing each other shaking hands, and I think if the relationship between horse and rider, where movement is achieved through cooperation.
These are some of the best informational videos about runes so far. Easy to understand, told without judgement and a great comparison of the rune poems. Do you by any chance have those comparisons in written form to share?
@@TheNorseWitch Thank you for replying so fast. I was just being lazy. 🙂 There is a lot of information out there so I think I will make my own comparisons. 🙂
I like the part where you mention the Earth Goddess and the Sky God because the Norse Pantheons roots come from Proto-Indo European Mythology. Dyēus is the Sky God and Dʰéǵʰōm is the Earth Goddess.
Yessss! I think exploring the roots of the religion is so interesting! Also to see where there are similarities and differences between Norse and Germanic myths but also even Hinduism
Hi everyone! I'm new to runes and I was wondering if Ingwaz could be interpreted as working alone (bevause the planted seed is in the soil and it's separeted, isolated from the outside world)?
In my opinion - definitely! I see it as a very introverted energy so it definitely wouldn’t be work in an office for example. In a work context to me it would be some kind of work that can be done in solitude or at home
I have an off topic question I really need help with. I saw a tictok about working with deities and it said that you shouldn’t try to communicate with any spirit until your experienced because it can become dangerous. Is this true? Should I stop communicating/worshiping with Freya and Hecate? Or is it safe to do without protections?
I think some protections are important. BUT it seems like you’re already doing it and nothing bad has happened? Then why should you stop? What I want to say is…. While I personally believe some protections are helpful and also vetting the entity you’re communicating with is important, there are so many heathens for example that communicate without any protection and it seems to work fine. So I‘d say… don’t stop because someone else tells you to. You know your own practice best. But if you want to, maybe just add some protection measures? ☺️
A point I have heard also is that, most established religions don't have you cast protections or anything before communing or worshipping, so what makes folks working with deities in their own practices different? To me, nothing really. However my thought would be that perhaps you want committed time without other energies or entities trying to get a word in, so then casting protections against all except your god(s) may make sense?
I think it's mainly that worshipping deities and working with htem is different. It can be dangerous if you're working with a deity but I don't believe there's any harm in worshipping
I have read that the shape Berkana can represent breasts. While it would fit with the nurturing/divine female I think it's a little bit of a stretch, personally. Interesting nonetheless. Thank you again for a great video.
Not me binging all the runes videos and being way to excited about this. 😂
The reference to gold in laguz could also refer to Aegir’s Hall

You're one of the few occult creators that I see who really knows their shit. I love learning from your videos.
That is such a big compliment, thank you so much ❤️

Hi Bente, this is by far the best rune series for my needs: beginner witch (only 2 years in) and full time mom. ❤️ Thank you so much!!
Just want to let you know that this video actually gave me insight into my ancestors and the possible origins of our family name. ❤
Oh wow 😳

OMG, my head is swimming with thought. I will go to bed tonight and ask the universe to help me with this. Great video.
These videos are so great, will definietly come back to write down things in my book of shadows
Thank you 🥰
This was very helpful, thank you! Can’t wait for your next Rune videos. 😊
I loved this. Thanks for making these videos.

Hello Bente! I was wondering if you could please send me all your definitions of the runes. I like how you explain them.
I talked about them in my videos… why not take notes?

Personally, I associate berkana with the Goddess Hel, whom I see as a nurturing mother figure.

Is Berkana a rune for Frigg?
It's ironic how laguz sounds like lake in Spanish (lago) hehe
Switch the last to runes. Ask Odin.

Thank you again for a great video.
I also think seeing them as breasts is probably more of a new invention 😅
