    You may never see this, but your book The Victorious Mind. Saved my life. Literally, it is wonderful. Full transparency, I used to use Psilocybin and DMT a lot multiple times a day for months. Been clean for 2 years. I now have wonderful habits in my life and continue making more. I'm married now and have a job that I love. I meditate daily and repeat Phrases in multiple languages as a study routine. Specifically Latin and Sanskrit for fun, after a while I realized that self talk is important. Really appreciate you taking time in your life and wrote books. Hopefully you look back on your past and know it was worth going through hell to help others get out of it as well. It's truly a blessing. Thanks again.

      Thanks so much for letting us know about this - and huge congrats on your successful transformation. That's so wonderful to read about.
      I do think I will look back on life and find it was filled with time well-spent. But more importantly, I keep focused on the now, which is the surest method for making the future great that I know.
      Thanks again for being in touch and I can't wait to hear more as you continue exploring the power of memorizing material that leads to better self-talk. I'm right there with you, adding new amazing material almost every day.

    Another wonderful video! 💎
    Thanks again Anthony for keeping Ars Memoriae blooming.
    I was wondering, how would one use memory techniques to "heal/treat" digital overload?
    Would you recommend picking a "motivational" text first, then try to memorize it with memory palaces and other mnemonic devices. Or are memory techniques therapeutic per se... maybe a certain usage of them.

      @AnthonyMetivierMMM  8 дней назад +3

      That’s a good question.
      I did notice a mood lift when first using memory techniques.
      But the real change came when doing so with intention, as described in The Victorious Mind.
      I feel that each person is probably best off arriving at their own conclusion about this through study and practice.
      This is because I can only interpret my own experience of transformation. But even though it’s clear to me that memorizing all that Sanskrit worked an effect, it’s possible that other things need to be factored in.
      And indeed, in TVM I try to make clear the role that dietary and fitness improvements played.
      Does this way of looking at things make sense?

    • @TheBigSavvyBoss
      @TheBigSavvyBoss 8 дней назад +2

      @@AnthonyMetivierMMMIt definitely does.
      I wanted to mention the VM without mentioning TVM. I'm glad you saw where I was coming from 😀
      How would you explain that mood lift when first using memory techniques? Is it just the initial dopamine rush?

    • @AnthonyMetivierMMM
      @AnthonyMetivierMMM  8 дней назад +3

      I don't think it would have to do with an initial dopamine rush, because that would be phasic dopamine.
      But it might have to do with tonic dopamine. I lay out the difference here in a video that I wish would reach more people:

    Dio and Gene Simmons might have been what I would have gone with. Considering your musical tastes, I wouldn't have been surprised if you did that too. Both of them have very iconic looks that stick too, if you ask me.

      @AnthonyMetivierMMM  3 дня назад +1

      Those are really interesting and truly Magnetic picks, but both risk in this context pretty extreme mispronunciations.
      That said, the last time I used Gene Simmons was iso and allo antigens. I had him playing a Sega Genesis, if memory serves to help get it closer. That would work here too.

    Hey Anthony, What are the best books on applied memory palaces. I just finished Joe Redington's book and IMO it really didn't answer many of my questions. You're course was really great, and I already have become very proficient in memory palace use since that. But I really am yet to find the book I have been searching for. A book going deep on applied memory palaces. At this point I'm beginning to question if one exists. Really appreciate all your work you are a real hero of mine

    • @AnthonyMetivierMMM
      @AnthonyMetivierMMM  3 дня назад

      Thanks for your kind words and this question.
      It's tough to find books that go deeper, especially if application is what you're looking for.
      What kinds of content do you want to memorize that.
      If you can say more, I might find something... or be able to add some detail on that content to the FAQ section of the MMM Masterclass.
      Looking forward to more details and helping out in any way I can.

    I was having trouble remembering an acquaintance named Toran as it didn't match any real or imaginary person I knew. Your video made me think Tor Johnson the actor. Merged the two images and I think I got it. Have to check when I see him again.

      Some names are more challenging than others, that's for sure.
      For a name like that, I would probably use a substitution and have Thor watching Kurosawa's Ran.

      This name made me think Thor + ran. I imagine Thor with running sneakers and sweatbands finishing a race all exhausted.

      Thanks for asking about this.
      It's not entirely clear to me what you mean, however.
      Please note that the Major I use is developed into a 00-99 PAO and that is specifically the "Magnetic Memory Method" version of the technique.
      I'd suggest learning it in full as part of all the main mnemonic systems that are so critical to success with these techniques.

      Thanks Anthony ,but what i mean is i use 0-1000 major system(numbers to words) and then i use after that the multiplayer method of major system then the method becomes unlimited or limitless (1-infinity).so finally i want to ask you is can/can't i use major system to memorize books (or is major system use only to memorize number)??

    • @AnthonyMetivierMMM
      @AnthonyMetivierMMM  День назад

      I abandoned developing a 00-1000 system myself years ago because the Magnetic PAO is ultimately much faster and easier for me.
      I do use it for books, yes, and it is taught in the MMM Masterclass. The way I teach it is game-changing for a lot of people because it can be used in many different kinds of ways. It goes far beyond numbers.

    Okay the example you shown, I made mnemonic upon them like 1596- d and l is for Dali a famous artist and 96 is for p and ch is punch is another word in hindi for tail so I imagine famous artist Dali with a tail
    And now 1650 - d and ch Deutsch. Deutsch is German, so I imagine Hitler because it comes in mind first, when I hear Germany and decode the other digit 5 - l and 0- z is Lay's a chips brand. So I imagine Hitler using canon to explode Lay's in our classroom on our German teacher

    • @AnthonyMetivierMMM
      @AnthonyMetivierMMM  8 дней назад +2

      Deutsch is yet another solution.
      I tend to use David Deutsch, though. Less shocking but a touch more pleasant.

      @@AnthonyMetivierMMM Oh! Well I like to impliment those thing but I'am not familiar with the person you said. But I have more mnemonic examples - I need to memorize a medicine name Aspirin - So I imagine Ash from Pokemon sitting on a submarine make the irin sound and then Ash do the Pushpa raj pose "Mein Jukega nahi sala" Pushpa Is a character from a south Indian movie. The move of that character rubbing his hand along his neck and saying Mein Jukega nahi sala is world wide famous, I think you might know about this character . Another one is I wanted memorize that antibiotics is needed for killing bacterial infection - So I imagine my Aunti for anti sound using a big injection with Ariel washing powder in the syringe pump into the back of T-Rex Dinasaur and a shouting sound and the Dinasaur disappear.

      I don't know your images either... which is why I always point out the value of learning mnemonic theory. As long as you have that, application takes care of the rest.
