Nah I like it better in wind waker it’s more Soothing with the warp sound and I’ve been trying to find a version of that with out the sound effects

I've never played it, but I've played a game, "Outer Wilds", where a song called "End Times" plays before the sun explodes and it gives similar vives, since Outer Wilds was inspired by this game. I know how it must feel to know the moon's gonna crash.
I wish that was the real ending of the game instead of what we got
It's cool to see it restored. Not that different sounding compared to the game version imo, with the exception of the string when it changes notes.
This is the moment I fell in love with games and this game became my all time favorite
I borrowed this game from Blockbuster- I was playing a save file with at least Great Bay progress. I had no idea what the game meant by "72 hours remain" or "24 hours remain" I was just running around exploring the world and having fun
Then the final hous kicked in- I was at that log outside South clock town on the way to the Southern Sawmp. It was then I noticed for the first time that moon, which did look a little creepy, was now notacibly closer and was obviously getting even closer. I had no idea what to do as the clock turned into the final countdown...
I insticntivley hid behind my shield- in the log- until the world ended.
I never had a video game impact me on such an emotional level and it was then- at the age of 11 or 12ish- that I realized how video games were able to fill me with the same kind of emotions as one of my favorite shows of the time: Beast Wars (If you know- YOU KNOW! Dinobot was the GOAT!)
Yeah Sonic on GG and Star Fox 64 made me love video games- BUT THIS IS WHEN I BECAME A GAMER AT HEART

Lmao, I know that feeling, the same thing happened to me when I played Outer wilds, I had no idea about the time limit until I heard the creepy music taking over and the Sun getting bigger
Holy SHIT. I've heard a number of reorchestrations and remixes of this track but truly nothing can compare to the original as it was always meant to be. Especially that incredible cross-channel percussion and the dulcimer (that is a dulcimer, right?). God, I love it. Thank you so much.

Isn't that first sound you hear that repeats throughout the song the sound that secret grottos make in Wind Waker? I've been trying to find that sound isolated forever because it's one of the most peaceful sounds I can think of.

How did you manage to restore the samples to such high quality?
All of the sounds you hear in a lot of these older games are (most of the time) sourced from different synths, samplers, and sample CDs that they had on the market back in those days. I’m simply taking documented findings and re-assembling the song with those higher quality sources to give an idea as to what the song could sound like without the audio limitations present on consoles/handhelds back then. To be honest, I no longer think “restoration” is the right term really. Something more like “recreation” or “remaster” would probably be a better fit.

That pad comes from Digidesign SampleCell II CD-ROM Library #1 in Strings -> Synth Strings JX Lo Strings Right!

my only complaint is the Iceland 1 sample doesn't seem to be looping as it properly should so it causes a dissonance from the original track, and is the only thing keeping this from truly being a proper restoration. It would be cool if you could redo it and get the sample to loop properly
Wow. After all these years I've never heard Final Hours like this... How did you do this? I'm guessing you remade it using the original high quality samples, but what samples did you use? I've always wanted to know in particular what that background ambient droning sorta noise was. Amazing work btw. I love this.

I was playing Wind Waker, and beat the first boss, before I noticed the exact same sample playing. It just plays on loop in the one location until you collect the heart piece. It was really weird hearing it by itself unexpectedly. I think I'll look into the previously mentioned sample further now that I know the name of it (I might wanna see if I could try and recreate it as well if I could find the right sleighbell!).
