Remember we have tier 4 skills that read "when unit initiates combat, grants +9 speed"
And "if unit has ally within 2 spaces, grants unit and allies within 2 spaces +4 res"
Compared to that laguz friend is a tier 12 skill
Catch skills were insane when Legendary Claude introduced atk/spd catch 4. 9 atk/spd if you get the right conditions? That was broken back then. Nowadays it's like, ok who gaf
@@pigeonleader They used to just be stats. Out of nowhere, they started tossing in crazy effects now too
Some of the newer skills are just tier 5 skills at this point, with how much they add. But just added in the game in an way they do not need 5 inherit slots
I'm not going to lie, I am greatly concerned for Feh's future down the lane right now.
I said it in Phoenixmaster's video about the banner but another issue is that IS keeps making these busted skills but doesn't give the weaker versions to newer 3-4 star units so it's harder to get everything. Then when they do it's for limited time units.
Indeed. A recent case is also the busted Devoted Basket + for Red Mages example
@ALEXMARTINEZ-dz7so Dragons are another example. Look how many dragon exclusive skills are only one unit in the summoning pool or on limited time units. Then Atk/Res Scowl and Counter Roar 3 are only on limited time 4-star units, New Years Male Kana, and the upcoming Bridal Nel.
Not giving bridges and also just not putting premium inheritable skills in the regular pool hurts bad. :(
@@krislee3155 Yeah, and I think the same happens with beasts too (or even worse). The exclusive Beasts B skills that allows transformation, at least to a tier 3, should be in way more units. The same goes for Atk/Spd Wild
Examples: B Agility is available on Embla and Ratatoskr (Ratatoskr only for tier 4), B Follow Up is available just on Fomortis (tier 3), B N Trace only on NY!Elm (tier 3), B Sense just on Eitr, and B Assault just on the new B!Embla...
The big slap in the face is they are still preventing any F2P fodder from being available.
Also the powercrept skills never become more available. Fure Emblem Heroes is never going to get tier four skills on 4-stars. Imagine a world where you had skills like Death Blow 4 on just a random 4-star pull. We would still be in the situation we are now it would just be less insulting.
Its insulting, infuriating and just plain greedy. They absolutely could just toss Swift Sparrow 3 / Darting Blow 4 / Death Blow 4 etc. on a 4* demote by this point and it would have no impact on their profits. The only reason to hold out on us like that is because they hate us 😦
There are so many Sparrow Type Skills that Surge Sparrow got forgotten lol. I wonder if we'll see "Tier 5" Push skill variants that bring them back to the forefront just like it did in 2019-20
I always liked going for skills because i like having at least one core team with favorites. And i tend to use units i really love in most teams as the leader, the main favorite. And for that the skill powercreep is great, but to sustain one or more teams it is becoming a bit much at this point. But at least the pure fodder units are usable now, there was a time that the non/old unique using favorites just died to everything without good support while being maxed with everything, and now they can do much more
Funny thing is that the new Excel skill is pretty much very usable even on slow tanks, but a defensive variant will be pretty disgusting on them, which we will surely see in the future (Ike winning with that again)
I was all for these side grade skills until Excel. Unpiercable, flat damage reduction is just insane.
They stopped being side grades and started being massive upgrades lol
Excel on Freyr sounds like a nightmare.
And she's my fav character. And i will add that to her. She already has Spd smoke 4

already exists, putting a red ring around the skill icon, would just piss people off this way they can just stealth include it and its better that way since you wont have to use 5 inherit slots for the unique red Crêpe.

its just so crazy to think that repel came out 4 years ago and we just now got it. 4 years. the sad part is repel was always overshadowed by close call anyways so like... thanks i guess lol.
Fehtubers might be partially to blame here. If units aren't meta breaking they tell people "don't summon on this banner", so now every banner has to be meta breaking to make sales.

I've never heard a FEHtuber tell somebody to skip a unit because their brand new passive skill sucked lol. King Freyr is a good example. His base kit is kinda booty, but as a unit he's a god.
i do not pull for skill fodder, i just get 1 copy for are and get really frustrated at arena being impossible to do f2p
I remember when Swift Sparrow 3 and Atk/Spd Push 4 were like the most wanted skills for fast units but then they were like "hey what if we combine those skills but instead of damaging the user it damages the foes instead" and then flared sparrow came out🤦♂️

I was literally thinking on the way to work this morning that they should just give us tier 4 sacred seals.
Now some people might say:
“But that’s power creep!”
My brother in christ have you seen the amount of BS effects some of these new units have, I’d say it would be totally fair and balanced at this point.😂

Yeah T4 seals would go pretty hard right now, considering the rate at which we get seals being super slow and the fact that a lot of the early T4 passives aren't even that good anymore, it wouldn't hurt anything
Remembered when we got brazen 4 skill? Remember how they never give it another shot and didn't even try to at least give a alt tier 4 option for that set of skills
I was baffled that Verge of Death and Crystalline Water weren't actually T5 given how busted they are. 💀 They basically just make L&D4 and Still Water 4 outclassed. At least Remote/Flash Sparrow can be run on Infantry, which Flared Sparrow can't. So they do still have use in that regard.
But at this point, we should be seeing all the outclassed T4s like Bond 4 or our one Brazen 4 demoted by now. They're clearly nowhere near as valuable as Unity or Finish Skills so just demote them. 😭
If Excell is inheritable for Infantry, Att!Caeda will be the meta, effectively immune to hit damage from armors and cavs.

A/D or D/R excel on laguz friend brave Dimitri is going to be unkillable.
But yeah the skill powercreep is really punishing anyone who hasn't invested heavily in skill duping with rearmed heroes (and even as someone who has done that it still is because you'll eventually run out of them like how I'm burning through all my Ganglot/Caeda copies for laguz friend)
Granted I'm not sure how useful the excel skill will be on slower units. Since on defense it only provides dr on enemy special proc. Also I'm waiting for them to introduce a skill that can pierce none piercable dr at this point.
Just put a new border colour on these "tier 5 skill" icons at this point lol. I'm still waiting on tier 4 breath of life that applies healing tiles and gives the user of the skill the Céline healing effect where after the combat of an ally, allies within 3 or 4 spaces centered on the unit (who has the skill equipped) heal 7 HP. Or I'm also curious when we're going to get "null or halve pre combat damage" at this point.

Ive just been skipping banners since Duo Lyon, gotten numb to all the new skills being added and only going to pull for favourites or very specific new skills that benefit my favourites.
Eyeing up S/D excel for my Wyvern Rift/Rein Snap Cormag
I have to wonder tho, does this game get a healthy flow of new players? Because if they do, such players probably run away horrified by how complex and difficult to follow the game keeps on getting. They even parodied this complexity creep in one of the most recent comics they published on twitter...
So if they dont, then they are staying alive by long time players. which are some point will get fed up with the absurd levels of devaluation in their investments (we are discussing tier 5 skills now?), because its just tiring following an impossible to get carrot all the time...
This has been a major problem and concern for a long time, and they don't seem to have any intentions of addressing it.

I mean yeah they're like teir5 or 6 skills at this point but they are like fusion skills of other skill so it's cool

Melee cavs getting a resurgance with this banner. Putting Excel on my Brave Eliwood. Unsure about Flow Guard but that seems good too. Maybe on another fav.
