செப். 24ஆம் தேதி புனித பேட்ரிக் பேராலயத்தில் , பாதிரியார்கள் மற்றும் சமயக் குழுவில் உரையாற்றிய திருத்தந்தை பிரான்சிஸ் அவர்கள் இவ்வாறு கூறினார்:
வணிக உலகை ஆளும் செயல்திறன், நல்ல மேலாண்மை மற்றும் வெளித்தோற்றமான வெற்றி ஆகியவற்றின் தரங்களின் மூலம் நமது அப்போஸ்தலிக்கப் பணிகளின் மதிப்பை அளவிடுவதில் நாம் சிக்கிக் கொள்ளலாம்.
இவை முக்கியமற்றவை என்பதல்ல!
எங்களிடம் ஒரு பெரிய பொறுப்பு ஒப்படைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது, கடவுளுடைய மக்கள் எங்களிடமிருந்து பொறுப்புக்கூறலை சரியாக எதிர்பார்க்கிறார்கள்.
ஆனால் நமது அப்போஸ்தலரின் உண்மையான மதிப்பு அது கடவுளின் பார்வையில் உள்ள மதிப்பின் மூலம் அளவிடப்படுகிறது.
கடவுளின் கண்ணோட்டத்தில் விஷயங்களைப் பார்ப்பதற்கும் மதிப்பீடு செய்வதற்கும், நமது தொழிலின் முதல் நாட்களிலும் வருடங்களிலும் நிலையான மனமாற்றம் தேவைப்படுகிறது, நான் சொல்ல வேண்டும், அது மிகுந்த பணிவு தேவை.
வெற்றியை அளவிடுவதற்கான வித்தியாசமான வழியை சிலுவை நமக்குக் காட்டுகிறது.
விதைகளை விதைப்பது நம்முடையது: கடவுள் நம் உழைப்பின் பலனைப் பார்க்கிறார்.
சில சமயங்களில் நமது முயற்சிகளும் செயல்களும் தோல்வியடைந்து பலன் தரவில்லை என்று தோன்றினால், நாம் இயேசுவைப் பின்பற்றுபவர்கள் என்பதை நினைவில் கொள்ள வேண்டும். . . மற்றும் அவரது வாழ்க்கை, மனித ரீதியில், சிலுவையின் தோல்வியில் தோல்வியில் முடிந்தது
