I could much more deeply appreciate the life and work of Thoreau from this video. You have a special way of making philosophers very relatable. And the video itself is so well-made- the visuals, the great content, not to mention your mellifluous voice, which makes us want to keep listening!
Thank you for creating this. I’ve been a Thoreau enthusiast ever since the 1960s, when as part of a high school summer reading assignment, I read “Walden,” the first book that truly made me think. I can still recall sitting on the front porch, reading its final chapter, and feeling I’d been transported to a realm, the existence of which I’d never imagined.
Henry David Thoreau, a beautiful soul who could enjoy solitude in nature by himself but also knew how to extend his love and care for his friends and society. Truly a goooood life he lived.
Interesting presentation about this American influential thinker, writer. When I viewed how you pictured Clostridium tetani it reminded me my student studies, the 2nd year of university, microbiology lesson when very elderly lady-teacher emphacised this bacteria - bacillus is drumstick-shaped because there is spore, resistant to boiling and freezing, forming on one side inside (that's why it is called bacillus). Spores usually contaminate wound.

Do you think morality is objective or subjective?
Interplay of both. Not either/or, but both/and.
