He's right now negotiating a new contract with Atlanta United, but the talks are complicated by the fact that the current CBA between MLS and the Players' Association will expire after this season. Neither Atlanta nor Gressel are in a good position to negotiate a deal when neither of them even know what the salary cap rules are going to be next season.
All I heard the commentator say was Martinezzzz!!! He scored so much that season.

Me, too. But that poor guy seemed to take the brunt of the fouls from other teams. Every time he took to the pitch, he got the shit kicked out of him but he kept getting up and taking more. One of the toughest guys in the league.

So many people give Pity Martinez hate about not being a great player but he is phenomenal. His assists on 17:46 and 15:29 are fantastic. I don't believe miggy could have made those passes.
I have no doubt about Pity's talent, but I have seriously questioned his commitment to the team structure as it is this year.
I'm a critic of his, but not because I think he's not good enough to be in the starting 11 - just that he hasn't consistently produced the results that his level of talent is capable of.
That said, recently, he seems to be getting with the program a little better, and I have high hopes that he can redeem himself in the ATL.
Regardless of whether or not he learns to walk on water, though, I will miss Miggy til my dying day.
So fun to relive all these goals!
