We needed this back in the 1990s. The wage theft destroyed our lives.

The current salary level of $35,568 a year works out to $17.10 per hour for a 40 hour week. This is slightly above the planned minimum wage in some states. At 50 hours a week, the same salary level of $35,568 a year falls to $13.68 an hour. It is regrettable that the Fair Labor Standards Act of 1938 did not have an inflation clause built in, and corporate America takes full advantage of that.

Okay but is this including bonuses or just someone’s straight salary ? There’s a huge difference in my pay depending on how this is factored

My employer made the change by increasing my base salary and reduced my bonus. There was no net benefit to my pay. Overall more of my check is locked in, taking away motivation for a small bonus.

I don't see why they don't use AI or some combo including it, to stop this conglomerate market control. With the tech we can target how different businesses in the same areas( retail, construction, security) create transparent ceiling monopolies. making it so these absurd laws have to be passed. Everyone pretending they have to play the game. Instead of saying enough. his inflated economy is crazy. ( a $million a house as a standardized base line for house pricing. Used cars at $10k plus minimum start. ) They're ( the businesses) are using g to control everyone. Why not use it back to make things stable again.
